For this to unlock you need to select and install the developers commentary to your HDD. The put the game disc in, go to options and "enable" developers commentary. The avatar award will then pop up.

You have to install the "Developer commentary" that is on the Bonus disc, after that, start Alan Wake up and go to options and the turn it on.

BING! it should unlock ;)

I recommend playing the game through once with the commentaries on. Very interesting information, but don't do it on you're first run tho!

I already have my 1000G, is the commentary worth another playthrough?

Well, I'm considering playing another run, just for the commentaries.
If you're a fan of the game, the story and you think it's interesting to know how developers think when they design game worlds, then it's worth it!
If not, then it's just a waste of you're time :) It's not just details around the plot, they sometimes reveal how they designed an area, how and why they thought that way, etc, etc.

I have only played the last 2 episodes with it on and it was cool :)
