Well I was just looking at the new MK 9 trailer, again, and I noticed something this time around. YouTube- Mortal Kombat 9 Announcement Trailer [HD] Go to this link of the trailer and pause at 1:07. There are 2 female characters that are in the background to Kung Lao. The one next to the throne is possible Jade or Kitana, but the one on the left of Lao chained up, is Kira. Kira was from Mortal Kombat: Deception as a member of the Black Dragon clan. Is that just a easter egg or what?:p

Kira was easily recognized in the trailer and if paused at the 1:00 mark you will notice that the second female character chained up in Shao Kahn's arena is none other then the ever sexy Outworlder, Li Mei.

Also I'd like to note that around 23 seconds when you see Cage fighting Reptile it appears that MKIV character Meat may be hanging from the hooks that dangle from the ceiling in the "Dead Pool" arena.

It would also appear that around 27 seconds when you see Nightwolf fighting Reptile on the "Bridge" arena you can see Kenshi and what appears to be Daegon fighting on the parallel bridge.

Shortly after around the 30 second mark it appears that Mileena and Sub-Zero are fighting in what I'm guessing is Shang Tsung's chambers.

That's pretty much all that I picked up from watching the trailer about 64 times since the other day.

^^Great screenshots from the trailer that show very clearly who everyone is. Most of what xSeifer13x said has been confirmed except on the "bridge" arena (which is actually the Pit II) the two fighters in the background are Daegon and Reiko, not Kenshi. In any case I don't think these are easter eggs as much as they are homages or references to the old MK games, just with the more recent characters. Like instead of Sonya and Kano chained up in Kahn's arena (like in MKII) it's Kira and Li Mei.

In this screen shot you can clearly see that it's Kenshi fighting Daegon in the background. Notice the red bandanna covering the region where his eyes are.

Yet in this screen shot it would appear to be Daegon fighting Reiko.

Also if this is Shang Tsung sitting in the background, I don't like his look at all.

I bet just like in Mk 2 the fighters in the Background are just Rumor starters. Like the Acid pit's hooks were Super Secret Stage Fatalities, now the hooks look to be a part of the fatality now.

I hope they bring back the old Secret Character that's Fightable but not Playable, Thats an Element of the MK game I really really miss. Maybe theyre not playable for like a year then a free Update/DLC makes them playable at a certain date, or thay only are unlockable on certain dates of the year or something (Just because I cant resist not playing as the Secret Character lol)

I also hope they bring back stuff where Reptile, smoke, & Jade would appear in a puff of smoke & Give you a clue to their whereabouts. That was like a staple in the MK Game until MK4 when it all changed to 3D Battleground.
