Just read an IGN article that mentions gaining XP in the new DLC:

"Getting a high score will, of course, reward you with XP bonuses that add in to whatever you've already earned in other multiplayer modes. If you're looking for an easy way to grind a few levels (or earn a few new Trophies or Achievements), this pack is a great option."

This is awsome news to me. I did not expect to get exp in this DLC but I will surely play it even more now that I will.

Haven't received more than 500xp for a mission yet and thats without dying and racking up a personal haul of 3000 dollars on the river, plus it took 15 minutes.

The coops are fun but they dont seem to reward very much.

Yeah, it's a shame. You can earn a lot more every 3-4 mins in hideouts alone. :(

Good question actually, I didnt play any advanced missions but you would have to hope the rewards would be greater.

Yeah, the XP is pitiful. I played about 3 missions with 2 other players and even at my best (top player and Gold Medal) I only got about 300 XP. They're fun to play, but I was hoping more that these would be a good alternative to grinding gang hideouts.

i got over 1000 xp for one of the missions. I think the amount you get is dependent on how well you do aswell like in the hideouts.

I think exp is pretty decent here in this dlc package.

I got a few silver medals on my first play through of the DLC this morning, and on each of the six mission I never got less than 650 exp. With gold medals, mostly I ended up a lot nearer to, and sometimes above, 1000exp.

What the hell? Every mission I complete I've never gotten more than 350 xp. And the majority of them were gold medals. Is it by your level or something? I'm level 33 now.

Every normal coop mission i've done i've gotten around 1k exp, and that's getting a gold medal for it. Hell i've even gotten 500xp for failing the mission cause everyone died haha..

I think the experience points that you are rewarded with depends on what difficulty it was played on, what kind of medal you acquired and how large your kill chain was.

I wish they would award more experience points too. Since they knew that most people were doing Twin Rocks for XP, they should've vamped up the points for co-op.

On Advanced I get 1700XP per game.

Does level have something to do with it? I'm playing with two others, one rank 20 and one rank 1, and I'm the top earner in every mission, get the highest chain, etc. and I get 200-350 a mission and theyre getting 1000+. WTF?

The way you seem to moan about lack of XP suggests that you paid for the DLC?

No?

Just be lucky you can even play it, like me the vast majority, it seems, can't even get into free roam, never mind anything else

Don't complain about something thats free!

Yeah, they don't give you a lot of experience though...it's like 1,000XP if you're good for like 10-20 mins. a piece!

Yeah the xp sucks big time.375xp while getting a gold medal and beng top player. They should let you keep all the money you make in the mssions

The XP is consistent with the rest of the game. You don't get a huge amount per hideout, or per kill, and likewise you don't get much per co-op mission.

I see why people complain about the amount, but actually it's a very well balanced game in terms of time and available levels. There only are 4 prestige levels after you hit rank 50 the first time, and the whole game hasn't even been out 2 months and already there are plenty of people who have finished or at least got all the achievements. Is it frustrating for the people who want to finish the game and move on to their next 1000 points? Yes. Is the XP awarded less than it should be? No. There are many people for whom this game represents the next 6 months to a year of gaming, perhaps more, and for those people there will be things to do and levels to increase for a long time to come.

1000 points is not a given for each game, and it isn't "stupid" or "pointless" to make achievements that reward dedication to a single title over charging through game after game. For achievement hunters like us, getting the full score out of a game is par for the course, and often the process by which we do so should make us anything but proud. For the people who invest themselves in one game, enjoy it to the full and over the course of time gain every achievement on offer, Red Dead Redemption will give them both satisfaction and pride, and the multiplayer will last them a long long time, perhaps even as long as support for the title, and new DLC packs last.

yeah most mission take like 6 min, they give about 1000 XP, not worth to to grind.

It's a pity, I was thinking of going legendary, but I don't want to spend ages unlocking everything again. I think I'll play just for fun now.
