Ive been seeing alot of people on ebay and other marketplace sites like ebay selling 4000,8000,10,000..... for dirt cheap.
They come not as a card with the code on the back but the points are already on a account and they send you the username and password to it..

This seems realy fishy to me
I find it very strange if these are true that its even possible to get away with this without microsoft banning your system.

Just wanted to see peoples opinions on this and hopefully make more people aware of the concequences.

Hope i never broke any forum rules by posting this.

Considering you yourself aren't selling them, I think it's okay to at least discuss them.
I could be wrong though.

But anyway, if someone did buy it, I wouldn't be surprised if the seller immediately got back into the account and took it back.

Besides, if I remember right, the highest MSP will go is 99,999 (five or six digits, I don't remember which.)

I think he meant accounts being sold with the different increments: 4,000 or 8,000 or 10,000. :p Not one big number.

OT: I wouldn't trust it either.

Don't buy them. They are stolen accounts with other peoples credit card information which was used to buy the points.

How is this possible though. wouldnt the person who owned the "account" after realizing it has been stolen contact Microsoft or Credit Card company and tell them about this that has happened to them

Yes they probably told MS about it but the hacker probably changed everything the email the password and even the Secret Question. My friend got hacked the person changed everything and my friend didn't get his account back until like 1 month later

It's not really hacked, it's stolen. The person was dumb enough to either set an easy to guess password, give out thier information, or fall for a phishing scam. Still would be wise not to buy them.

Steal CC, make account, load with points, sell account, steal the CC that just bought the points, etc.

They don't need to steal the account, as silver memberships are free.

I dont want to buy one and never had any intentions on buying one i want to use this thread to have all the awarness and information their is to help people more understand what they are getting them self into if they decide to buy them or not.
To me its like having stolen property and where im from that is treated the same as the person who stole it.

Why is it that Microsoft alows people to have their Credit Card information stored on there account in the first place.

Remove that and they can remove this problem of stolen accounts and fraudulent Credit Card use.

Why would you want another account. Doesn't anything you buy link to that account anyway, so nothing would be on your main account.

Its illegal to even sell the account if it's yours and not stolen, as it's Microsoft's, and you aren't allowed to make any amount of money off your account.

When you download stuff on another account it give that tag a license and your console. So you could download Map packs on that account and it would work on any GT on your console.

Don't buy them or even bid for them. They're stolen accounts or they're hacked accounts. Most of them are silver accounts that are created. Odds are the points were loaded with a stolen credit card.

This plus sooner or later MS or the ebay seller recovers the account. Unless you do a license transfer.

No need to transfer license cause when you download DLC your console gets a license as well, plus the accounts are sliver which are created for free.

People need to know more helpful information like ways to avoid this happening to you.

And what could happen if you do buy these types of accounts.

Dont create passwords that are easily guessed like 12345678
Never send your account information to anyopne no matter how much you think you trust them.

Buy only MS Point cards that way you know your not gona get ripped off or in shit with anyone.

for the sake of a few dollars its not worth loosing anything like an xbox over.

From what I hear is someone broke the code for almost all of the current money code generators so this includes iTunes, PSN, Xbox etc. so they just keep using random codes until one works. Then they make an account, load it with points and sell it but maybe some are also stolen CC's as well which is a shame. Some people eh?

Or had an undetectable key logger on his PC which is unfortunate.

But yes, stolen accounts. Buy the MSP with the victim's credit card info, change the password, email, etc. Sell the account on eBay.

Buying stolen accounts put your console at risk of being banned from XBL.

Absolute bullshit. There is no keygen for this sort of thing and never will be. Free MSP come from stolen accounts with credit card information.

ummm... what?

OT, phoning the bank would certainly be my first port of call (if I had CC details online in the first place which I dont), but really who knows how quick it is between getting into an account and then having it on eBay for sale, I'm betting its pretty quick, and probably happens before you can get to the Bank and have charges reversed.

No credit card on any of my tags either. No way in hell I'd ever be stupid enough to do that. If anyone steals my tag they'll get my tag and 200 MSP. Oh, and gold prepaid until 2012.

If I want Microsoft points I'd rather buy them on eBay and have the code emailed to me and get them that way. Credit card on a gamertag = fail imo.

*sigh* Now common sense would automatically tell you that yes, they are indeed stolen/hacked accounts that have had the credit card on file for the gamertag in order to purchase the MS points. Stay away from them!

As for taking your credit card off of your account, you can do what you want but you don't need to do that. As long as you have a moderately hard password to figure out and you keep your personal information to yourself and not share it with anyone, like the password and e-mail associated with the account, you'll be fine.

Or go the "just to be on the safe side" route and buy the pre-loaded cards at a store. Problem solved : )

It unfortunate for you that you like to participate in these illigal activites. Your in possesion of stolen property and this is not the place to ask for help on what to do now.

You are a prime example of what can happen when buying these..sorry buddy but your not gona get your points

No, I have the tag on my 360 now. The seller sent all the information and I recovered it about a week ago. I'm just asking how it's stolen since there isn't any CC details on it.

Or who would have a long gamertag like that.

Either way, you shouldn't have bought it.

I dont think you did anything wrong (except buy a GT which I don't think you can) odds are the points are stolen but as long as no one reports that account as stolen, you should be fine.

Or had an undetectable key logger on his PC which is unfortunate.

When I use to play WoW, my PC got a key logger on it some how, and to this day not really sure how it got on there but it did. I kind of wounder if I got from one of those freebie flash games that you download, my younger sister would download them all the time, when she was home from college. I told her I didn't like them on there and would uninstall them, but she never listened to her brother. lol :).

But yeah they did a number on my account, changed my password, sold all of my items, striped all my chars gear, cleaned out the bank, transferred two chars to two different servers(which that cost $25 dollars a pop) to give gold to the person who bought it, and then farmed for more gold on my warlock, and they also setup a bot on my account on two more different servers to run though stormwind yelling there gold farming website and set a red flag to get a warning and locked the account for a couple of days for abuse. This was all within a day of getting my password reset from blizzard cause by the time I realized it was stolen tech support was close for an hour.

My guess would be the long name full of convoluted letters is a dummy silver account the seller created by just hitting random keys to quickly shoot you the info after he made the sale, which also explains the 0 :gsicon:. The missing CC could be summed up by the fact he probably entered it to charge the points, then deleted it off of there so he can charge it again on another account (and probably keep the buyer from using it for his own devious purposes before the seller can profit from it again).

I remember there being a keylogger hidden in one of the ad's found on the official WoW forums at one point and that was getting lots of ppl hacked. And all it required was for someone to be on the page when the specific ad was being run; no clicking or anything was required.

Okay just wondering. I don't condone the buying of hacked accounts because it encourages it to continue, but I understand where you're coming from.

I'm really against this sort of thing, however, because it's a criminal act most of the time (hack someones account, use their CC to buy points, change the details, sell off the account to someone at a reduced price-per-point). I've been personally affected on both Xbox Live and with a World of Warcraft account of mine so I know how it goes.

Still, people can do what they want. I hope that doesn't come across as demeaning or a personal attack or anything.

But still I would recommend people not to buy them since well it's stolen
