I reckon that it should let you, people (not me) have put heaps of time into there gs and all that would be undone once the next gen came out.

Another one of these? Yes, Microsoft would be complete buffoons to not let us carry over our gamertag and achievement score.

I would assume so. But we won't even have to worry about the next gen of Xbox for a while, they've stated time and time again that the 360 is intended to be around for a good long time.

But if history is anything to go by (which it usually is), then yeah, you probably will be able to. You could transfer your tag from original Xbox to the 360, so I don't see why they wouldn't allow the same for this.

If they don't I will die a little inside for wasting so much time with achievements lol

it would be rather pointless to spend 1,000s of man hours setting up the Live service just to make you loose it because they release a new console. Seeing as they have started the Games for Windows stuff as well I don't think it's going to vanish anytime soon.

that would be pretty stupid if they dont!

What, you didn't hear? All achievements will be converted to PS3 Trophies for all next gen systems

Microsoft has this service called Xbox live, not sure if you've heard of it. So when they release a new console it would also have this service hence why you're GS will carry over.

They better let us transfer our GT and Gamerscore over.. or Ill nut it.

Recover? I expect to be able to put it on a usb stick and copy it from that to the new drive. It might run a five second update but thats about it.

07-07-2010, 02:54 PM
Assuming it'll even have USB ports. (Which it probably will anyway, but never know what they'll decide to do)

07-07-2010, 03:02 PM
Yes, i would think the backlash, if they didn't do that, would be huge.

if M$ didnt .... i would jump ship and go to PS3. No way am i going to but in a shit loud of man hours just to do all again.
