I know you've said it. A amazing band breaks up and you absolutely love their sound, now your stuck playing the tracks they did have forever...

For me, this would be for Salt The Wound, To the Lions, and Dry Kill Logic. Such great sound produced by these three bands, yet they were cut short by dreaded "band issues".

It can be any form of music. Everyone has to have a band :(

Here are my videos for my three bands:

To the Lions - Breathless (The breakdown at the end is just perfect, the song in the beginning on the TV is by their old band "A Stained Glass Romance", the song being called Tom Cruise Control)
YouTube- To The Lions - Breathless

Salt The Wounds - Peas and Carrots
YouTube- Salt The Wound - Peas and Carrots (demo) (lyrics)

Dry Kill Logic - Rot (Yes, the lyrics do sound like Spice Girls in the beginning)

I wish the original 4 of Fear Factory would get back together (Including Christian in this). Archetype was decent, Transgression sucked, but Mechanize is pretty fucking good, but since Dino and Burton of all people put their differences aside to work again, where the fuck is Raymond and Christian? Off playing some fucking shit band, with shit musicians.
I hope for a next album, they make their return.
Also, no discredit for Byron or Gene, absolutely fantastic replacements, but as a lifelong FF fan, I really want the original line-up back even if just for one album.

I need to say Led Zeppelin as well. Even with John Bonham's kid on the skins it would still be pretty awesome to see these guys.

I would love to see Headstones again. caught them just before they split and they were awesome live.

I also love Frank Black's solo stuff but a Pixies reunion would be pretty sweet.

Van Halen back with Sammy Hagar would make my day too.

Too many to count. The first was probably Cream...I was devastated at the time. Others that come to mind are the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Glass Harp. I'd add the Doors, but that was due to Morrison's death. The remaining members released a couple albums after his death, but the music just wasn't the same.

I read that on wikipedia, but it also said that it was confirmed July 13th on their myspace blog. Their last login was the 28th of May so I'm not getting my hopes up because that is the only place I've seen that news, but I do have my fingers crossed that they come back.

Yeah, another Postal Service album would be amazing. I canít think of a better band that only released one album.

Mine would also be The Smiths. Oh, and Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett should have never left Genesis and should have kept blooming Collins away from the microphone.

At least the early Death Cab For Cutie albums have the same sort of sound, albeit a bit more downbeat. I guess that kinda makes up for the lack of Postal Service stuff.

Well dude, not to rain on your Chris Cornell hate rant but Soundgarden have been back together for a few months now and headlined Lollapaluza in Chicogo last week. They also have a new album coming out September 28th called Telephantasm. Mostly B-sides and unreleased stuff but I believe there is a new tune on it as well. I heard their new track on my local radio last week and it's pretty good. No idea if it was an old unreleased tune or a new one though.
