Hey guys i just completed the main storyline of fallout 3, my play time is 17 hours and 44 minutes, i took my time to be honest, what was your guys play time?

140 hours.

still four missions i haven't completed, because i haven't made up my mind about them:

tenpenny tower. can't decide if i want to kill the ghouls, or let them in (in either way, they kill everyone)
strictly business. i locked up arkansas, to prove i could. if i let him go, he'll kill anyone else there. may or may not capture the other guys, may or may not kill and the slavers. dunno.
trouble on the homefront. not sure the resolution i want, or if i want to try to glitch the vault to stay open.
plik's safari. can save the two other party members, if i have the ghoul mask from tenpenny tower.

that 140 hours above includes:

all main story missions
all side missions (except as above)
all dlc (except as above)
pretty much every unique weapon
close to ever skill book found (you can't actually get all of them)
a completely ridiculously broken character build

oh my, at least 150 hours with all my different games combined. To get all achievements including DLC, I think 60 if you wanna have some fun as well.

Well with my first character, doing all the quests, and all dlc's i have 32 hours. But now (more experienced and know what to do) i did all the dlc's and the main storyline in 9 hours 53 minutes :o

I have put 300+ hours into this game.
(i didn't have live when i got this game)
But yes i really enjoyed this game. I have got all unique weapons and all that.
It's really fun if you got nothing else to play.

I dont get why you would want to rush through it like that? That would take all the fun out of it for me.

EDIT: Just finished the game, all DLC included. I didnt rush through it and just took my time enjoying every min.. end time was 127 hours.

Just got 100% on this game, all DLCs included in about 80 hours +. Loved every bit of it, feels so long ago that I was doing the baby tutorial  Roll on New Vegas!

I have near 50 hours on each character and I have 4 characters so around 200 hours total.

My current character (a stealthy unarmed & melee weapon guy, who specializes in lockpicking over science. his science skill is under 25) has ~50 hours and i've only done the main quest, all dlc except Mothership Zeta and Broken Steel, and around half of the sidequests. I spent a lot of time collecting Teddy Bears and gnomes.

I've got two characters; one that has good karma, specializes in Critical Hits, Science and Energy Weapons, and V.A.T.S. ~ 90 hours with him.

I've got another, one that has bad karma and specializes in big guns, lockpick, and sneak.

I am currently around 67 hours and in the middle of my final DLC, Point Lookout. I will probably still play this periodically to finish some other side missions not achievement related until New Vegas is out.

My play time was 118:20:34. I acquired all rare weapons, discovered every location, found every Nuka-Cola Quantum, completed all main and side missions and obtained all of the achievements. Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a true Fallout fan.

I just finished Point Lookout and got my 1550, and I believe Im at 91 hours. I explored a lot, and tried to take my time.

100% across the game + DLC came to 72 hours for me. Great game though, worth the time.

YOu could probably finish real quick if you wanted. I spent literal days just wondering the wasteland. Checking out buildings.

A fun way to play is to limit yourself to what your bring. You can only have 100 shotgun shells. 3 weapons. One set of armor. 3 stim packs. all the rest of the gea goes into your home. When you leave you take the minimum.

Finally i finished the game (1550/1550). First time took me arround 55 hours to finish the game (main story and some achievements). Then i picked the game once more (DLC's and the rest of the acheivements) and took me arround 88-90 hours to finish (starting from level 0 again).

I got my fisrt achievement in 21 November 2008 and made the last in 24 August 2010 :D Ye, it was a loooooong paced gameplay but it was worth it, the game is full of little gems. Maybe i'll continue to play it from times to times just to visit some of the magnificent places in the wasteland. Totally looking forward to New Vegas btw :)

I'm with you on this one - the best part for me is exploring every nook and cranny on the map(s).

On the Goty Ed on PS3, I got 100% of the trophies, all quests/ side quests (not all of the ones without trophy) in 43 hours.

The story line without side quests took me 15 hours to get to the last mission, playing on variations of easy to normal... depending on the situation.

Then I realized I needed to stop and work on side quests.

Ok now I don't feel so bad to say that I logged over 150+ hours into this game. I absolutely loved Fallout and my fiancee thought I was crazy playing it how I did. I would literally search every single desk, locker, chest, computer, shack, and every other thing in the Fallout world to search. I just wish they would release 1 more DLC pack before New Vegas hits shelves. You know to get everybody in the mood ; ) I had so much fun playing this game for the enjoyment I didn't even care about achievements. I'm just hoping New Vegas lives up to its predecessor. Lets cross our fingers!!! ^_^

Haven't played in months, but I was up over 400 hours--all in--no lie (yes, I have no life... ) before I finally put it away for good back in Feb/10.

First playthrough, I concentrated on being strictly a projectile weapon shooter.

Second playthrough, I went exclusively energy weapons as soon as my level allowed (you don't have easy access to lasers and plasmas until you pass certain points in the game.)

Finally, I ended up getting the GotY PC version for the double GS--but I was weaning myself off of the game by then, so I only had something like 80 hours in the PC version.

The most interesting thing to me was that, even on the 3rd go-round, I would still come across the occasional building/tunnel/room/etc that I was discovering for the first time. Still amazes me how much content they stuffed into this game.

And, man, I can't wait to do it all over again in Vegas! :AR15

It took me more than 90 hours and less than 100 hours to get all achievements except 1. However, to get all the chieve's for attaining a certain level with good/neutral/evil karma I just want back to save games and bought good karma from a church. Don't know how much time that would add to my overall.

Finishing the main quest doesn't take long if that's your only goal.

All I have left is that alien archivist or whatever it is. The one from mothership zeta. might go back an get it someday.

I just ran through it a second time, because I finally got all of the DLC. It took me 43 hours and 45 minutes to get to level 30 and beat the game, including DLC. I missed three missons: Oasis, The Nuka-Cola Challenge, and Strictly Business.

I've just gotten into this game. The first time I picked it up, I couldn't get into it. But, I found what appears to be a very in-depth, detailed guide on GameFAQs, written by eolsunder.

Because of his guide and the Fallout Wiki, I've just have fallen in love with this game. I've yet completed Galaxy News Radio and have clocked in 20 hours already. I imagine it's going to take 100+ hours to complete following this guide religiously.

About 50 hours all told to finish 1000g plus Operation: Anchorage and Broken Steel.

I'm a little annoyed as they were the only DLC I wanted, but it's gone and added the achievements from 'The Pitt' to my list as well, despite not having bought it. Now it doesn't look complete on my achievement lists :(

Doesn't feel like I rushed at alll, spent plenty of time wandering around and only used guides to pick up some things like bobbleheads after I was done with everything else.

What do you mean by 'gone'? Are you saying that some of the DLC is not available?

I hate to even guess but I would say around 200 hrs in the complete game. I couldnt really say about the main story line because I saved alot of that for last. I liked Fallout a lot but Oblivion still rules in my book.
