I mean, beating the game with a score of 12,345,678? You have to be extremely lucky or pro at getting percise scores.

Also it kills me that you have to kill 53,59(6) Hammer ons and Pull offs. [Prototype] already did that. Dead rising 2 failed at one upping that to 7 already and Rock Band fail it as well? That's terrible.

The achievement says beat the score, not match it.

You have to beat the score of 12,345,678 not land on it perfectly. :p

there will be away around that score achievement, it will not end up being as bad as it sounds.

and the HOPO one is just all about playing over time. Its just like the zombie kill count achievement in L4D, requiring a duration of playing, yet nobody put that down as a bad achievement list.

I sooo wish people would learn to read before starting topics. The achievement reads "Beat a Rock Band 3 score of 12,345,678." It specifically says to "beat that score", no where near "beat the game with a score of".

I love how it says KILL 53,596 HOPOs. I mean think about it. Isn't it what we've been doing all this time? Killing notes? When you hit them they EXPLODE.

lol - just ramblin'.

its a reference to left for dead. theres an achievement for killing that many zombies, and they wanted to copy that and make it HOPOs instead. so yeah, thats where the "kill" reference comes from.

No, young one, it's a reference to "Dawn of the Dead."

No, it is a reference to an achievement in Left 4 Dead, which is a reference back to an achievement in Dead Rising. The Dead Rising achievement is the one that references Dawn of the Dead.

Because each one increases the count by 1, they are acknowledging the game that came before, so it's a reference back to the achievement instead of back to the movie. Prototype did it too, but they seem to have ignored that one.

So many complainers about this darn achievement list. I bet there will be two more threads added before the end of the week  It's just achievements people. But I guess if making a thread to rant about something works for you.....

yay rb3 is officially killing zombies but yeah this is how it works
rb3 "kill 53 596 ho/po"
left 4 dead "kill 53 595 zombies"
deadrising "kill 53 594 zombies"
and who actually is going to get that exact score i mean of 12 345 678 and it can be in a band (easily over 500 000 a song (more notes more points) with decent players on expert in every song in a full band) so its not exactly hard either

Again. It's not "Hit the exact score of 12345678 points;" it's "Beat the score."

Can you please explain how the Dead Rising achievement is a reference to Dawn of the Dead? I own Dawn of the Dead, but don't remember any mention of 53, 594. I'm doubting my memory, not your statement.

The town of Willamette in DR had a population of 53,594...That was all I got from the number.

In the original Dawn of the Dead, that is the population of the town.

It should be noted that Shaun of the Dead also references 53,594 as that is credited as the number of zombies harmed in the making of that movie.

Dead Rising was the one to start off that number. Left 4 Dead and Prototype came soon after.

But yeah, it's not as impossible as you think, honestly. I mean, 12 million alone isn't all that difficult.

LEGO_MAN

12 million is not hard at all. you have 4 difficulties over 5 different instruments not including the additional harmonies and pro-mode. it just takes time. same thing with the HO/POs. people hate these achievements because they cant get them in a day. it takes weeks/1 or 2 months *gasp*

cant wait for this game.

LEGO_MAN, I could be wrong but, doesn't it only consider the highest score when it comes to difficulties? Like, if you get 200,000 on hard and 250,000 on expert, wouldn't the score for that song only be 250,000?

Your career score counts the highest score you on each instrument, not just the highest score. Each song contributes at least 5 scores to your Career score. (Pro Scores may be separate from normal scores)

i personally love it when people complain that achievements arent so easy that the devs hand them to the gamer on a silver platter, they forget that the point of achievements was supposed to be a challenge to overcome essentially for bragging rights, not a pointless commodity earned for playing a game for 2 minutes

This really isn't that hard . . . . ticked it off the list in less than one week, maybe 15 hours total of playing, almost all at Hard difficulty. More of a silver platter achievement than a difficult one.

The funny thing is that I think band score counts toward this because, playing with two friends, this was one of the first achievements I got within about an hour in this game.

I don't think the cheezies are that bad. They're meant to be gained in the long run. That's what you do with this kind of game is keep playing it over time. It's not like an rpg or fps where you run through the story and are done.
