Instead of Creating a ton of different achievement guides, how about the community work on one big one, and the same for road map?

Not that it isn't a good idea but that would never work. There are as many different methods and strategies as there are people. A guide that took this into account would be unusably long.

I agree with you 100% but I was just curious on how the guides are chosen. Can anyone make a guide? If so I'm guessing the best one is chosen for the forums.

Anyone can create a guide. From there, the community generally helps out and comments on different ways they have found to do an achievement and the information is combined into the one guide. If multiple guides are created and submitted to the site, the best parts of each will be combined once a guide is posted to the main site.

I understand what you're trying to suggest, but that's kind of how it works right now. There has to be one person who oversees and edits everything though, and that is usually the first person to put forth a quality showing. But yeah, the community can have as much input into a guide as the guide writer will accept. If they are a jerk and won't add anyone's suggestions, their guide probably won't go very far and a new person will create one though.
