kaotic
15 year old Gaurav Rajav recited 8,784 digits of Pi placing him third in national and North American Pi recitation and 12th in the world. He was aiming at trying to recite 10,790 digits but sadly failed. His parents promised him an Xbox 360 console if he could reach his target. As it wasn't met, his father offered him the console but no games. Surprisingly Gaurav turned it down as he wanted to stick to the deal. That's very honourable, but I can't say I would have done the same. Gaurav will try again in May. all i have to say is unfreakinbelievable

Webb
My phone number wasn't in there and it seems like such a waste of time. He's gotta wait till May now to do it again. If he wants a 360 that much, get a job and pay for it ya self, he could have had one by now with every game and be top of the leaderboard with all them lost hours
Webb
Some could say the same about video games I suppose. I'd like to think that playing video game are a tad more enjoyable than knowing Pi to 10,000 decimal places, i'd hope most of you agree too. If not, what you doing here, get learning
DarkLif3
No, I agree but some would and could say it's a waste of time. Any thing can be a waste of time really. All just on how you see it.
Webb
Exactly, I'm not saying they are, but sports could be a waste of time too. But I seriously think remembering Pi is a waste of time, he can't surely enjoy it
k_dog
I enjoy Knitting? What's it to you? Does anybody else? Probably not. Point is, everybody is unique and enjoys something unique. Maybe he finds personal gratification on learning Pi. -Brian
Webb
15k gamer points and knitting, how do you fit it all in? I see your point, I find personal gratification on getting out of my face at every opportunity
