No offence but this is old news. Bout 1000 threads alredi on this. But thanks the article is better. However 3d wont work unless u have a 5000 tv.

hardly 5000... You can get Samsung 3D TV's now here for like $2600 (42"). Which is around... 1500ish.

But who cares about that. In November Toshiba and a few other companys are releasing a 3D TV where you dont need the glasses. Think it might finally be time to upgrade right in time for Black Ops :P

Glasses = No
New TV for 1 game = No

No + No = No (Hard to believe right?)

Maybe when 3D becomes more popular, I'll consider it. I still don't understand why movies in the past have been released in 3D with no need for 3D TV, unless I'm confused.

I really don't like 3D stuff that much my eyes hurt if I watch anything in 3D for too long so i've never really considered it and it's pretty expensive right now anyway.

Has anyone seen the "Avatar" game in 3D action? I remember be shocked at how little the 3D capability of the game has been discussed.

3D is overrated, isn't it?

Movies previously released on TV in 3D used old Orange/Blue 3D Tech....New 3D Tech is far more effective and does require a TV that can handle such...

However, I totally agree with your sentiments...Alot of 3D is over-rated atm...I've only personally seen one movie with enough scenes to justify it worthwhile watching in 3D (Resident Evil: Afterlife) and even then i coulda enjoyed it without...So i have a feeling 3D gaming will be just as over-rated...

Plus i don't have 1000 plus lying around for a new TV, nor do i have 100 plus for a set of glasses for anyone who wants to watch said TV without getting a headache...

Any TV that claims to have 3D Tech without glasses, is far the better purchase...But...As stated...Will most likely be far over-rated considering actual 3D content to purchase price...I betcha' ;)

But doesn't a double negative become a positive?

And on-topic: 3D sucks.

A 3d tv without the need of glasses? I doubt it. I dont see how its possible unless its some really really expensive tv.

Anyway, 3d is only fun for watching a movie from time to time, but for games, I can guarantee, that it will make your brain go lalala after an hour.

All this fuss over 3D, it's shite, having seen a few bits here and there, it brings nothing to the table over HD. Plus when viewing in 3D if your short of glasses the people in the room without just see blurred crap, and leave with a migrane!

Count me out, 3D was garbage 10 years ago, and it's still garbage now.

Yep stick with hd. And avatar the game had 3d i played it noticed nothing. Infact the graphics were pretty crap and i use 1080p. And a tele with no glass in 3d how? unless its like a projector its just not happening tbh.

[QUOTE=Rifle Elite;3590916]A 3d tv without the need of glasses? I doubt it. I dont see how its possible unless its some really really expensive tv.QUOTE]

A few weeks ago my family and I were shopping and we saw this one TV in the electronics department that stood out from the rest. As we got closer to it we realized that it was something new, it was soo fucking sweet and the picture really popped out. It was a 3D TV, about 3000 euros for a 32". But it was sweeeet, and no glasses required.
