Introduction:
Welcome to Medal of Honor, developed by Danger Close. Jump into the boots of a Tier 1 Operator, to the helmet of a Apache helicopter gunner. Fighting in Afghanistan, dodging grenades, and sneaking around cover. Escaping just in time, before imminent death.

Breakdown:
This game is split into two sections, Single Player and Multiplayer. There are no collectibles that need to be collected, but only level specific achievements besides completing the Campaign. Two single player playthroughs, and Multiplayer which will take up a majority of the time.

Single Player - Hard Difficulty:

Start by playing the Campaign on Hard Difficulty and completing all the missions. It is okay if you miss something below, there is a mission select found after you complete the specific level. The level specific/random Campaign achievements you need to look out for in obtainable order are:

"Right in the Grape...."
"Smooth Operator"
"The Sledehammer"
"Crowd Control"
"Dropping Deuce"
"Fear the Reaper"
"Manic Suppression"
"It Takes A Village...Out"
"Pistol Pete Showdown"
"Like a Surgeon"
"Feeding the Pig"
"The Scalpel"
"The Quiet Professional"
"Timber!"

Single Player - Tier 1 Mode:
After completing the campaign on Hard. The second playthrough will begin with Tier 1 Mode. You must complete every Single Player mission under the requested Par Time. This will earn you the "Conspicuous Gallantry" achievement. You can only play Tier 1 Mode if you are connected to xbox live.

Multiplayer:
This is the portion that will take the longest time. There are 3 classes to choose from.

Assault - Assault Rifles/LMGs
Spec Ops - SMGs/Shotguns
Sniper - Short Range/Long Range Snipers

The best way is to try to stick to single class, as there is a achievement to get one class to the highest rank. You need to play all the available game types for two hours each.

Combat Mission
Team Assault
Sector Control
Objective Raid

The final part that may take you the longest is earning every offensive support action/earning 1000 support points/and reaching top 3 on the leaderboards.

Clean up:
After completing Campaign on Hard, Tier 1 Mode, and playing Multiplayer you should be near completion. If you are missing something, refer to the Achievement Guide for any missing information you may need.

Conclusion:
After shooting, blowing up, and riding the mountains in a 4-wheeler; you should have experienced a great surrounding of you and your teammates, pushing the enemy one step further.

Deploy a missile strike support action (awarded at end of round)

A Missile Strike Support Action is your 3rd Killstreak reward. You will be able to use it once you gain 175 points without dying. You have to press :dleft: to call it, and you steer the missle with the :rs:. This Achievement will unlock at the end of the game.

Use each offensive support action once (awarded at end of round)

Offensive Support Actions are the killstreaks rewards you receive after you've gained a certain amount of points within one life. There are a total of seven Offensive Support Actions you must call to obtain this achievement. When you have the choice to choose a reward, pick the Offensive Support Action (:dleft:). This achievement does not require your to call in all Offensive Support Actions in one game. You must call all 7 Offensive Support Actions throughout your online career. So if you do not wish to call in an Offensive Support Action that you have already called in, you can call in a Defensive Support Action which will grant you free points towards your next killstreak reward. This Achievement will unlock at the end of the game.

Level 1 - Mortar Strike (50 Points)
Level 2 - Rocket Attack (100 Points)
Level 3 - Missile Attack (175 Points)
Level 4 - Artillery Strike (250 Points)
Level 5 -Strafing Run (350 Points)
Level 6 - Air Strike (450 Points)
Level 7 - Cruise Missile (600 Points)

Get 1000 support points

You must achieve 1000 support points throughout your multiplayer career. You gain support points by calling in Defensive Support Actions or Offensive Support Actions. Calling in a Defensive Support Action (:dright:) will help your whole team by giving them an advantage, and you get your support points right away. Calling in a offensive Support Action will help you get kills. Depending on the ammount of kills you get, that is how many support points you will earn. I would recommend calling in Defensive Support Actions for this achievement.

Reach top level in one class

There are a total of 15 levels for each class. You must reach Level 15 in one class. You need a total of 31,700 Points to reach level 15. If you want to check your progress, go to Multiplayer - Career - Stats & Awards. This achievement should take you about 8-10 hours if you are good at the game. Below is a chart of how much experience you need in between levels.

Level 1 - 0 Points
Level 2 - 250 Points
Level 3 - 350 Points
Level 4 - 500 Points
Level 5 - 800 Points
Level 6 - 1,100 Points
Level 7 - 1,500 Points
Level 8 - 2,000 Points
Level 9 - 2,400 Points
Level 10 - 2,800 Points
Level 11 - 3,200 Points
Level 12 - 3,600 Points
Level 13 - 4,000 Points
Level 14 - 4,400 Points
Level 15 - 4,800 Points

Be top 3 on the scoreboard ten times

You must be in the top 3 of the scoreboard a total of 10 times. The best way to do this is to earn streaks, and capture/destroy objectives. If you are not good at FPS games, then I would recommend playing an objective game and go for the objectives. If you are good at FPS games, I would still recommend going for the objectives, unless it is too risky and you might die, resulting in losing your streak. When you get a Killstreak Reward, your safest option to get the most points you can get in a game is to choose the Defensive Support Streak by pressing :dright:. If there are many enemies beside each other and you know how to use the Offensive Support Streaks properly, then use that instead by pressing :dleft:. Earning and using Killstreak Rewards is the best way to get in the top 3 of the scoreboard. Good luck!

Singleplayer: In First In, Kill the Hostage Taker with a Head Shot

When you have to clear the last building (you will get a checkpoint before, so you can restart last checkpoint if you mess up), you will kick down the door. It then goes into slow motion and you pull out your pistol. The guy you have to kill with a headshot will grab the hostage (he has a symbol above his head). Simply aim and shoot him in the forehead.

Singleplayer: In Breaking Bagram, destroy 2 vehicles with a single 2000 lb Laser Guided Bomb

When you get the objective "Move into the Tower" and complete it, you will then be using 4 different weapons (you will enter a binocular-like mode) to destroy vehicles and foot soldiers. The first one is GAU-8. The second one is Hellfire. The Third one, and the one you need to use for the achievement is GBU-24. The fourth one is MK-48. You will be able to use GBU-24 once the 3 tanks start coming down the right path. Press :ybut: to switch to GBU-24 and aim at the tank in the middle (there are 3). Hold :rtbut: and then you will be able to guide the bomb. Use :rs: to steer it, and try to get it right in between the two tanks. If you fail, more vehicles will come in groups, or you can restart last checkpoint.

Singleplayer: Jump 7.5 meters high on the ATV

This is done on the 3rd mission "Running with the Wolves...". Now you will make a total of 3 stops (including where you have to 'Eliminate enemies with M82") before you come to the spot to get this achievement. When you get on the ATV the fourth time, start driving for a while. You will eventually have to drive up a big hill, and then down the big hill when you reach the top. Once you reach the bottom you will have to take a left and then there will be 2 big drops in a row (2nd drop is seconds after the 1st). This is the area you will get the achievement. You want to make sure there is a decent gap between you and "Dusty" so that you can go full speed without bumping into him. As long as you drive fast and hit the drop/jump head on, you will unlock this achievment. If you go off both drops but don't get the achievement after a few seconds, restart checkpoint and try again. The spot is right before you rally up with your team.

Singleplayer: In Dorothy's a Bitch, destroy the entire AQ Camp with the AC-130

Once you exit the cave with the crazy enemy inside, you will have to kill a small group of enemies. After that you will come up to an AA gun that will be destroyed by the AC-130. You will then have to "Target Enemy Positions with SOFLAM". This is where you go for the Achievement. Once you enter the binocular-like mode, choose the 105mm gun (press :ybut: to switch). At first, there will be 6 squares locating the main groups of enemies (press :dup: to see the main groups again). You want to destroy those 6 groups and everything around them. If you leave at least one main group of enemies alive (I left the top left alive, as shown in the video), then you will remain in SOFLAM. Make sure you destroy everything around the other main points, and then focus on the last one and try to destroy everything before you exit SOFLAM. If you don't have the achievement once you exit SOFLAM, you can restart last checkpoint.

Singleplayer: In Belly of the Beast, defeat the DShK in under two minutes

At one point Tech Sgt. Ybarra will go on the radio, and you will be crouching beside him not able to move. You will then be given the objective to supress the DShK with your SAW so they can move in and mark it. Move up to the ruins (the broken walls) to the left and keep shooting the DShK until you kill the gunner. When you kill the gunner, kill the enemies outside (you don't have to do this). Once a new enemy jumps back onto the gun, shoot him until he dies again. Repeat. Once the red smoke appears, you have to quickly regroup with your team. Your team will then call an airstrike to destroy the DShK and several seconds later it will be destroyed. You get the achievement once the DShK is destroyed.

Note: You cannot restart to last checkpoint to get this achievement as the achievment unlocks right when you get a checkpoint.

Singleplayer: Destroy 30 buildings in Gunfighters Village

After you destroy the 3 mortars, you will fly for a short period of time and encouter more enemies with many buildings around. These are the only buildings in this level, so make sure you destroy as many as you can. Use :rbbut: to fire your rockets and try to destroy all the buildings. Try to destroy the buildings that are off to the side of the town. If your rockets are reloading, wait until more than 2 shots reload (reloads all the way up to 8). You can check how many are loaded by looking at the bottom right corner where it says HYD X/XX. Firing multiple rockets is a faster method for destroying buildings.

This achievement may be a bit glitchy as many people have had problems with it, but you can obtain it! This achievement is not accumulative, so you must destroy 30 buildings in one playthrough of the level. Make sure you completely level the buildings so no walls are standing and that you get the buildings off to the side of the town. As long as you don't destroy the main blue building at the end when the countless RPGs are firing at you, you will continue to stay in that area. You can then continue to destroy any buildings or walls left standing, but if you take too long, you may get hit by an RPG and eventually die. You should get the achievement when you destroy one of the few remaining buildings, or even the last one.

Singleplayer: While long range sniping, hit one of every bodypart

This is done on mission 7 "Friends From Afar" in the beginning of the level when you are sniping, or can be done later on in the level. You have to shoot 4 different body parts: Head, Torso, Arm, and Leg. This achievement may be glitchy, as many people have had problems with it. To make sure you get the achievement, shoot all of the following:

Head
Torso x2 (Chest and Gut)
Arm x2 (Left and right arm)
Leg x2 (Left and right leg)
There is more than enough enemies to make sure you get these shots, but take your time and don't be careless. If the achievement still doesn't pop, try again. You will eventually get this.

Other things to keep in mind:

You have the upper hand on some enemies because they do not move.
This has to be done on different enemies. You can't shoot a dead enemy over and over.
There is no bullet drop, only the time it takes to get there, so hitting the desired body part should be easy.

Singleplayer: Finish every level in the game on Tier 1 Mode under par time

Tier 1 Mode is a game mode that you must complete missions under a specific time. If you die during any part of the mission, it will cause you to restart the mission. You must be connected to xbox live to play this mode. Here are some tips to help you complete this:

Stay back, your team will take care of some enemies, but not all of them.
Conserve your ammo and go for kill shots. You can't request ammo from your teammates like in normal campaign. You can rarely find a weapon, so pick your shots carefully.

Singleplayer: Get 7 headshots in a row with any weapon except the long range sniper rifle.

For this achievement, all you have to do is kill 7 enemies in a row with headshots. This achievement is quite easy as enemies don't move around much and when they pop up out of cover, they remain there for a while. Press :dright: to switch between firing modes (if your gun has the option), and choose single fire. Then get a headshot. You will know if you killed the guy with a headshot, because a headshot symbol will appear at the bottom of your screen. You can get this achievement in any level. If this achievement is hard for you, play on Easy. If you are still having trouble with this achievement, then play Mission 9 "Neptune's Net". You can silently kill 7 people in a row with headshots, without alerting anyone, and without your enemies firing back.

Note: You can use sniper rifles such as the Dragunov SVD, but not long range sniping rifles such as the M82. Long range sniping rifles are when you are able to zoom in and out using :ls:.

Singleplayer: Kill 5 enemies at once with a single hand grenade

On mission 3 "Running with Wolves..." you will be driving a ATV in the beginning. You will have to make a stop to "Secure Perimeter of Outpost", and "Rally up with Team". Then you will return to the ATV and drive for a bit. You will then stop to "Eliminate Enemies with M82". After that you will then drive just a bit further and leave the ATVs. You will drop down a ledge and you will see 3 enemies by a truck, and 2 more enemies going towards the group of 3. You cannot miss the spot; you will know when you arrive there. Once all 5 enemies are near eachother, cook your grenade (hold :rbbut:) and throw it at the last second. If you kill all 5 enemies, achievement unlock. If not, restart last checkpoint and try again. If you are having trouble placing the grenade, try throwing the grenade directly at an enemy so it bounces off him and lands in the middle of the crowd.

I always get my games 4 days before retail release so will give you feedback tomorrow, the guide already looks amazing though and you seem like a down to earth guy (unlike some guide writers lol, they write a guide and think they should win a Nobel) so thanks for this :)

I'm really good at finding stuff post Beta I.e easy ways to farm and boost or shortcuts, not that I'm trying to find thesse I just have a sound sense of logic and eye for detail

Now I am not sure when the timer begins and when the timer ends. But what I did was move up to the ruins (the broken walls) to the left and kept shooting the DShK until I killed the gunner. When there was no one in it, I killed the other enemies to help my team. If someone entered the gun again, I would kill him and repeat this process. Once the red smoke appears, you have to quickly regroup with your team. Your team will then call an airstrike to destroy the DShK and several seconds later it will be destroyed. You get the achievement once the DShK is destroyed. Now until this is confirmed, I believe that the 2 minutes is only timed from the checkpoint to completing the objective of supressing it. The time it takes for the DShK to be destroyed doesn't count for being time (I believe).

Note: You cannot restart to last checkpoint to get this achievement.

Dude, I did it in two mins, but when the mate throw the Red Smock. it took forever to be destroyed !!!

This achievement is weird !!! I mean is it just to see the red smock or until you see the explosion ?

What?? What?? we have to "PAY" to play the multi-player??

please someone inform me !

because its made by EA, they have started including codes with new purchases of games, which allow you access to online features within their games, this is to stop people from buying cheaper pre-owned games, as 9/10 the codes will have been used.

This way if you buy pre-owned, you have to purchase a new code or whatever from the marketplace to access online features.

It didn't occur to me that there will also be a problem regarding renting a game, as it is not something i ever do.

However, it may be a good idea to rent on release, and hope you are the first to get a copy and get the code, you could then keep it for when you buy pre-owned or ebay it lol

GhOsT SLaYeR
10-10-2010, 11:43 PM
For online pass.... you get a code with a purchase of a new one.
You get a free 7 day trail of the online without using a code, but once those 7 days pass you'll either a.) buy it off market place or b.) not play online....

It won't affect me as I am buying it... and I get a code with it. Now idk when I am picking it up tho- =\

I think this new online pass is a great idea. I for one think second-hand sales hurt the industry but they may also be a way to protest a bad publisher like evil Activision. However, most of the time they are just used by greedy gamers who have no capital conscience.

Sorry for rant. Anyway, can you select chapters as you complete them like in Halo?

Thanks for the guide so far. I completed the campaign on easy and got all the achievos thanks to your guide, gonna play the Hard campaign next.

One note, Tier 1 mode not available when not connected to XBOX Live?!?

Question about the online ones, it states: Reach level 2 in any class. But by the other it says: Reach level 8 in one class.
Does that mean they mean ALL classes need to be level 2 / 4 for the achievement?

If you look closely, baring in my they cannot attack you, they just spawn and spawn, you can literally see them appear and pop their heads.

Hardest achievement in the game by far. Essentially, you need to do this achievement in one life as it's very difficult to build your points all the way back up.

Top tip though, let's say you manage to get to level 4 using all of the offensive support actions and then die, use the defensive support actions to build your points backup as they are guaranteed points. For example if you use UAV at level 1 it gives you 30 points whereas if you use the mortar strike and hit nobody, you wont get any points.

I've only managed to get to level 5 so far with a K/D of 15/0. The game timer expired before I could rack up anymore points :(

Are you 100% sure?

You could always get a life and just play.

There is no need to be rude. Besides, how is someone boosting for something have "No Life". If you are only here to post non-sense like that, then it would be safe to assume you are the one with "No Life". But in the end, that isn't true. People who say someone has "No Life" are ignorant people, because everyone has a life. And everyone who plays videos games, etc has a life that doesn't have to do with video games, etc.

well i only shot both legs and arms and got the acheivo , as there your only limbs xD

Hmm, well I will add it to the guide, but I need someone else to confirm too.

Thanks for the guide. The only achievement I am worried about is the Tier One Under Par Time.

I am more worried about Multiplayer: Fire Controller. But Conspicuous Gallantry won't be that hard IMO. Just a bit annoying if you die from some sort of BS and then you need to restart the level.

As the achievements is awarded "at the end of the round" then it needs to be done in a single game I believe. I've never got the last 2 offensive support abilities though so I cannot confirm it 100% myself.

It's an incredibly hard achievement that many might have overlooked when evaluating 1000G.

just got done with like a surgeon and it's left and right leg and arm, body and head... the tricky part is not hitting his body while hitting the leg... if the guy is crouching hitting his leg will cause the bullet to pass thru to his body and won't count as a leg "kill"...

I have a simple question: I need to know, are the difficulty achievements stacked? Meaning...can I start the game on "Hard" and get both the regular game completion achievement + hard completion achievement? Also, is Tier 1 locked until you beat the game on any difficulty first?

I'm just trying to avoid playing through the game more than twice.

got the It Takes A Village... Out achieve on easy by doing nothing but shooting rockets at buildings. got it in one pass well before moving on. i didnt bother to shoot at anything or anyone otherwise. there were still buildings left after i got the achievement as well.
most of the buildings were destroyed with one rocket by aiming dead center.

guide is looking good so far! thanks

edit - got Like A Surgeon with a torso, head, arm, and leg shot (several arm shots actually accidently. blew their arms completely off!) only.

Add to Roadmap.

Singleplayer: Finish every level in the game on Tier 1 Mode under par time

Just finished that, and am globally ranked #1 in most missions. It is a very easy achievement for anyone relatively familiar with first person shooter games. Take your time, go for head shots, & make your shots count, as you cannot request more ammo from your team. Always use cover, and when moving up, slide from cover to cover whenever possible. I would recommend playing though the game at least once before tackling Tier 1, so you will be more familiar with enemy locations and your surroundings.

Good to know it wont be hard then, as far as playing through the game once, you have to, to be able to unlock the tier 1 mode.

Oh. Really? I was able to see Tier 1 mode on the campaign menu when I popped my disc in. I didn't choose it though, as I wanted to play through all the levels first. Maybe it's there, but you're unable to actually play it until you beat it on hard?

Also, is Tier 1 locked until you beat the game on any difficulty first?I can confirm that the difficulty archievements are stackable. Did one playthrough on hard last night and got all those achievements. Btw: Hard is piece of cake for any CoD veteran since there's no endless spawning like in MW or MW2. Just make sure you move from cover to cover.

There is no achievements below Hard. there is completing the game and completing the game on hard, so therefore you get both. I don't know why everyone is saying they are stackable as the achievement specifically says complete the game on easy, normal, or hard.

As for Tier 1, I believe you have to beat the game first. I am not positive actually. I will check into that.

Yes there is. The achievement is called "The Battle Is Won" and you get it for beating the game on any difficulty setting. So if you beat the game on Hard you get that one and "...But The War Rages On" for beating the game on Hard.

For the like a Surgeon achievement, believe it or not there are actually five things you must hit. One=Head Shot, 2=Arms, 3=Legs, 4=Center Mass (Chest), 5=Right in the ass. The best place to get all 5 are in mission 7 when you are firing with Dusty calling them out.

Thanks =) And for the achievement, I am still pondering whether or not it is a career achievement. Like do you need to call them all in 1 game, or can it be over your career in multplayer.

It's all in one game, you can't get to level 2 without getting level 1 first. So if your on level 5 and you die, you start all over getting level 1. So yes, this achievement is meant to be done all in one game. Good luck!

I found a really good place for this is mission 3. There is a place where you get off the ATV's and follow Dusty off a short wall. He will say something along the lines of wait for them to split up. You can throw one there as there are 5 people there. It may take a few turns before you get the right line though. An even better place is to wait after they split up and you shoot the one guy that comes out the door. You will follow Dusty around and let two guards pass. These two guards go to the campfire with the 5 you let thru earlier and so there are 7 in close proximity. FRAG AWAY.

Singleplayer: Finish every level in the game on Tier 1 Mode under par time

Tier 1 Mode is a game mode that you must complete missions under a specific time. If you die during any part of the mission, it will cause you to restart the mission. Here are some tips to help you complete this:

Stay back, your team will take care of some enemies, but not all of them.
Conserve your ammo and go for kill shots. You can't request ammo from your teammates like in normal campaign. You can rarely find a weapon, so pick your shots carefully.
If you are sprinting, pressing the :bbut: will cause you to slide. Use this to quickly get from pieces of cover.
Learn to use the :lbbut: cover system. It will be a good amount of help while trying to get the upper hand on some enemies.

The Par Times for each mission are as follows:

First In - 25:00
Breaking Bagram - 30:00
Running with Wolves... - 20:00
Dorthy's a Bitch - 17:30
Belly of the Beast - 25:00
Friends From Afar - 15:00
Compromised - 12:30
Neptune's Net - 15:00
Rescue the Rescuers - 28:30

I have not finished every one but the hard part is staying alive. They give you plenty of time, but you have to finish it off in one go. There are ways to make time "freeze" as well. Head shots and melee kills give you 2 seconds each. 5 kills within a certain amount of time give you 5 seconds. There may be more but that is all I know for now.

but i want to state out that tier 1 modus is NOT available when you play offline.. you might want to change the online and offline achievement to 500/500...

also i found the It Takes A Village...Out a little bit glitchy.. did it a couple of times without getting the achievement.. so i installed the game to my harddrive and tried the level again and it popped up qwll before completing the objectives...

also i found it easy to get the Right in the Grape... achievement for the headshots in a row very easy in the last level before the final bunker... just to the left there is a dragonov with enough bullets.. you can lay down and shoot the guy behind the machine gun continous...

There is an achievement for COMPLETING THE GAME ON ANY DIFFICULTY.

Then there is an achievement for COMPLETING THE GAME ON HARD

What don't you udnerstand?

Stackable means if there is an achievement for a lower difficulty, and you beat it on a harder difficulty you get both.

Ex: Complete Game on Hard Achievement
Complete Game on Easy Achievement
If you beat hard you get the eays achievment as well. That is stackable.

That is not what I mean. You can call in the first 5 streaks offensive. Then the next game call in the first 5 streaks defensive and the last 2 offensive. That is what I am wondering.

Singleplayer: Destroy 30 buildings in Gunfighters Village

After you destroy the 3 mortars, you will fly for a short period of time and encouter more enemies with many buildings around. These are the only buildings in this level, so make sure you destroy as many as you can. Use http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/rb.png to fire your rockets and try to destroy all the buildings. If your rockets are reloading, wait until more than 2 shots reload (reloads all the way up to 8). You can check how many are loaded by looking at the bottom right corner where it says HYD X/XX. Firing multiple rockets is a faster method to destroy buildings. There is no trick to this achievement except shooting as many buildings as you can. I may be wrong but I think this achievement is accumulative. I didn't get the achievement the first time and I destroyed almost all the buildings. Then the second time I destroyed a bit less than what I destroyed the first time.

Note: I Will look further into this achievement. Any help is appreciated.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I think I figured this out, Start a new session from main menu for this level and then if you look at the buildings there are green and a few red barrels on top of them, you need to shoot these buildings. I noticed this when I restarted the checkpoint and the barrels were gone. So I gave this theory a go since I was getting so frustrated at this damn achievement and it popped. If you don't get it the first time you can't restart to check point you need to finish the level then load it up again and the barrels will be back and I believe this confirms they are cumulative as well. Hope this helps!!

Just a quick help comment.

If anyone for any reason is having any ATV 5.7 meter trouble...worse comes to worse you can drive the ATV off the actual road and to your death and get the achievment.

After you complete the first checkpoint and drive through gate and partner radios "good thing it was unlocked" just jump off the edge around there...get achievement and the checkpoint loads about 5 seconds prior and finish mission as usual.

i found with the 'it takes a village...out' that you won't continue onto the next area until you destroy the ammo dump, the concrete building. i just leveled the whole place for ages then left that for last, then as soon as it was destroyed the ach popped.

also on the limb one, i'm pretty sure the head and torso counts, and maybe even the arse. i tried and know i got every limb as well as heads and nothing happened. then i decided to give a guy a new arse hole and it popped. didn't appear to blow of either legs either, so just a thought.

I don't know where you got the impression you couldn't load the last checkpoint but it's definitely inaccurate. Had I simply restarted the checkpoint on my first run through, I would've unlocked it and not had to run it a second time.

I, and many others, have done this and have not received the achievement. If you killed 9, isn't it possible that Mother killed 4? That is why I put a video up and started at the beginning of the mission.

For the campaign knifing achievements, does it unlock if I knife some enemies and then reload the checkpoint? Or does the counter reset when you reload?

edit: it does work if you reload the last checkpoint. I just did it by knifing the first 4 enemies in Neptune's nest over and over.

YouTube - Medal of Honor: Like a Surgeon Achievement Guide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2AyC7haa2I)

Ok, I watched this video and I tried to get the achievement and I tried to do exactly what they say "arm, leg, head, torso".

Now the commentator is right when he says that you have to listen to what Dusty says, but you also have to pay attention to what he says AFTER you kill a target as well.

I heard him say "you got his arm" "that was his leg" "that was center mass" "headshot" and I figured I would have gotten the achievement. But the one that I just heard was "gut shot" and I finally got the achievement to pop.

So I believe there are 5 different locations to hit: head, either arm, either leg, chest, and lower abdomen/groin.

If you think about it, it's obvious it has to be done in one life since unlike MW2 you cannot pick your killstreaks. So if you get to the last Killstreaks your obviously going to get all the other ones. It's not like you can get all but the last and just go for the last one like in MW2.

So if you die don't sorry about it :)

For "The Scalpel" and "Pistol Pete Showdown" I loaded up "Breaking Bagram" (Mission #2) and at the warehouse (Previous of shooting snipers from the control tower) you will get a checkpoint. Here, use your knife/pistol and run up to the right, up the metal staircase and kill 2 enemies in the room, a further 2 on the catwalk on the other side of the building, 1 on the adjacent catwalk and multiple on the ground. Once the warehouse is clear, reload the last checkpoint and repeat until the achievements pop!

Nice guide, helped me with a few of the Single Player achievements. Just 2 to go!

For the fire controller achievement you DO NOT need to do them all in one life I use all defensive actions until I got the cruse missile, at the end the achievement unlocked, just use nothing but defensive actions to boost your score until the missile, and just work your way down its much easier that way. Another thing I think helped is dont use your streak right away, try to get another kill or two so that when you do use it you will go right to the next streak, and if you die you can use one of the upper streaks to get to the UAV and match ammo right away.

And Chosen One your one the problems with this game, all you do is snipe and camp by looking at your comments.

K here's a few things. Yes, all I do is snipe exclusively. I want to get that out of the way. Despite what some of you may think, it actually does take skill to be good at sniping. First off, if you miss, you're probably dead. Secondly, there are counter snipers that I have to deal with as well. I don't just sit in one spot the entire match. I actually help out my team mates.

Another thing, if the developers didn't want sniper rifles in the game, they wouldn't have put them in there.

Lastly, snipers in reality also do a lot of work out in the field. They are able to suppress opposing forces from long distance and can take out key targets with just a few bullets. They are supposed to be precise and efficient. That's why I like to be a sniper in games because you can't just run in and mindlessly shoot at people.

I didn't get Like A Surgeon until about my 4th attempt...when I finally got it, Dusty called out "gut shot" on one of my shots. I hit the usual leg, arm, head, center mass (torso) as well - so maybe gut is in there as well... I dunno.

Two cheevos I'm having issue with are It Takes A Village...Out in the campaign (destroying 30 buildings) and MP: Heavy Fire Support (fire 1,000 rounds in an MP game).

Anyone have suggestions for a good game type/map for Heavy Fire Support?

...and is it confirmed that It Takes A Village...Out is cumulative over multiple playthroughs and must be done on Hard?

Another thing, if the developers didn't want sniper rifles in the game, they wouldn't have put them in there.

I'm not flaming you here, but just because the developers put something in a game, that doesn't mean that they made it correctly or even well. Everyone is free to use whatever weapon or class that they want, but the developers did make a mistake in that they should not have made snipers a one hit kill to the entire body. I think, unless the game is trying to be super realistic, which this game isn't, then all games should probably make snipers a one shot kill to the head only. Otherwise, people only use the sniper class, which significantly degrades the overall gameplay. Wouldn't you agree?

Two cheevos I'm having issue with are It Takes A Village...Out in the campaign (destroying 30 buildings) and MP: Heavy Fire Support (fire 1,000 rounds in an MP game).

For "It Takes a Village...Out", I did it on easy, so you don't have to do it on hard. For the other, get a high enough rank in the Rifleman class and pick an LMG such as the Saw or the PKM. Then, in any game mode but Objective Raid, stand by an ammo crate and fire away. The achievement doesn't pop up until the end of the round.

5 objective conquest game mode.

Unlock an LMG....either M60 via gamestop code or rank up to the M-249 SAW

They each have 100 rounds in a belt. Just play until you get the Shxxxxxx Mountain map with snow and the downed chinook.

When your americans spawn @ base and just crouch next to the ammo crate and fire 10 belts of ammo. The achievement will pop at the end of the round. You'll get some stares while shooting into the ground/walls near crate but that's about all.

Sorry for being away and not updating anything or answering your questions, but hopefully this long list of answered questions will make up for it!

I just did "The Quiet Professional" achievement. I killed the first four no problem, then immediately alerted the enemies in the next portion. I restarted from last checkpoint, killed all nine enemies and the achievement popped.

I don't know where you got the impression you couldn't load the last checkpoint but it's definitely inaccurate. Had I simply restarted the checkpoint on my first run through, I would've unlocked it and not had to run it a second time.

Fire 1000 bullets in a round (awarded at end of round)

Choose Either a Rifleman or Special Ops. Now use any Automatic weapon, and fire as much as you can in a single game. If you run out of ammo, run to an ammo box to pick up extra magazines. This should come naturally to you, but if you are having troubles follow this method.

Choose an Automatic weapon. Find an ammo box. Keep shooting your gun until you run out of ammo. Pick up more ammo from the ammo box and keep shooting!

Where are the ammo boxes? I've played each of the multiplayer modes and have yet to come across one.

Anyway, I'm working on leveling up Spec Ops. What I did is got to Level 2 to get an extra magazine. That gave me 150 ammo before I ran out. I shot off all my ammo at a rock or a wall, and because I couldn't find any ammo boxes (I don't think they exist ;)), I threw a grenade at the wall and killed myself. Now, that gives you -10 points each time you do that, so be warned. I did that 7 times (7 x 150 = 1050)(getting -70 points), but when I finished it I was able to quickly get positive points. I think I ended up getting like 100 or so positive points by the end of the game.

Singleplayer: In Neptune's Net, eliminate 13 enemies without alerting anyone

In the beginning there are some opportunities to get a few kills without alerting anyone. Eventually you will meet up with "Mother" and you will come to an area with 9 enemies (press :dup: to see their location). You can silently kill every enemy if you choose the right ones to shoot first with well placed shots. If you mess up and are detected in this area, restart last checkpoint (if you restart last checkpoint, the kills you got from the last checkpoint onwards do no count). There are 3 more enemies that you can kill without alerting anyone further in the level.

I just did "The Quiet Professional" achievement. I killed the first four no problem, then immediately alerted the enemies in the next portion. I restarted from last checkpoint, killed all nine enemies and the achievement popped.

I think what F8L Fool was confused by is that in your description for the achievement, it does say "If you mess up and are detected in this area, restart last checkpoint (if you restart last checkpoint, the kills you got from the last checkpoint onwards do no count)." By reading it that way you imply that by reloading the checkpoint nullifies your previous kills. Just an observation. You might want to take that out. :)

Edit on the qautermaster achievement. The support points you get with offensive kill streaks do count towards it. But only the points you get for killing an emeimes with the streak e.g mortar. I never ever used a defensive ks and ive got qautermaster. But if you want the achievement quick its best to use defensive because you get a fixed amount of points

[quote=TAI JASON;3630052][QUOTE=Venomized;3629790]You have to be in the top 3 out of both teams. not just your own.

Correct me if i'm wrong but 1st, no private matches, sorry m8 :). 2nd, there is a badge you can earn for getting top 3 10 times. So check out your badges, it says how many times you already got in first/second or third place.

Again, loved the guide, only 4 more achievements left (online ones).

the award that keeps track of this is 3 down and ten over (far right). it will give you a number out of 15. 10 gives you the achievement while 15 gives you the award.

im surprised i got it so quickly, considering i havent gotten the missile strike chieve yet. a lot of sucky teams when i was the only one activating things and a lot of good teams where just activating one thing and defending gets you top 3 in a 2 min match..

After you destroy the 3 mortars, you will fly for a short period of time and encouter more enemies with many buildings around. These are the only buildings in this level, so make sure you destroy as many as you can. Use :rbbut: to fire your rockets and try to destroy all the buildings.

First of all, the manic suppression achievement can be done while re-loading the checkpoint because thats how I did it. Secondly, I don't know if the It Takes a Village...Out achievement is cumulative or not, but most likely glitched. I beat the level and destroyed all the buildings but didnt get the achievement, then I came back and re-did it a 2nd time and kept re-loading the checkpoint to see if I could get it but still no achievement. Most likely glitched but I can't speak for others.

About the Quiet Professional Achievement.

First of after killing the first 4 enemies and when you are gonna hide from the patrol thats coming you have to run on the right side and hide. Coz I ran up to the right and hided from the patrol. then later when I got to the camp and killed the rest of the guys without getting spotted the achievement didint unlock.

On my 4th try I decided to run on the left side and hide from the patrol and later on when the guys and the camp were killed I got the achievement.

And also note if you mess up at the camp you can load from last checkpoint and still get the achievement if you kill all of the enemies at the camp on the next try :)

I got this achievement under my campaign playthrough on hard. I noticed that when I shot missiles at the buildning that they didnt really destroyed at once what I did was I kept shooting down the walls also then it just popped up on my first try.

I find this game quite glitchy and unfinished game. Sometimes I hade to restart the last checkpoints coz my AI Alley stuck on a rock or something so its alots of bugs everywere.

I just popped on here to check people's completion times, and noticed you'd done the guide, it is spot on, The only glitch I found was on the last Teir 1, level, where the game would freeze half way through. I would suggest just rushing and sliding into cover until the air strikes are to be called in, it knocks about 4 mins off the level time, only shooting at what you can see, no popping out to take out enemies you dont need to,
Also what I dont see in Guides is BUY/RENT, and with this game being able to be smashed in 2-3 days loose play ((WITH THIS GUIDE LESS)).
I'd recommend RENTAL only, dont waste your money on such a bad rip-off of Bfbc2. I enjoyed Rogue Warrior more than this rubbish.
There are no glitched achievements, CONFIRMED!

Good Work though.

This achievement was NOT accumulative for me. I didn't get the achievement the first run through but when I did it for the second time, I had to destroy everything and when you get the last objective in the village and I destroyed that building, the achievement poppped. I definitely destroyed every other building in the village the second run through. I didn't have to reload checkpoints or anything, so I don't think it's accumulative.

I don't know if you want to add this to your guide as a general tip or something, but I find that switching to single-fire on any gun that is capable of doing so is usually a great idea. Not only does it make you pick your shots better, resulting in a better percentage of headshots, but it does well in the conservation of ammo, too. Just saying. I know it helped me a lot in Tier 1 Mode.

-Approximate amount of time to 1000:gsicon:: 20+ (Campaign 7+; Tier 1 Mode 3+; Multiplayer 10+)

Well i havent read all the posts , but i remember something that could be usefull in the tier 1 mode.

On the last mission after the cave when you find the two guys of the AFO Neptune , its really easy to be with not to much ammo, to fix that near the end of the mission , there is a M60 taliban (i dont remember the exact name of the weapon) before the last fixed machinegun and its really easy to miss it because its hide at right, near the rocks and some boxes

This is done on mission 7 "Friends From Afar" in the beginning of the level when you are sniping, or can be done later on in the level. You have to shoot 4 different body parts: Head, Torso, Arm, and Leg. This achievement is quite easy as you have the upper hand on some enemies because they do not move. This has to be done on different enemies. You can't shoot a dead enemy over and over. There is no bullet drop, only the time it takes to get there, so this should be easy.

Note: I need someone to confirm what body shots you need to make, such as both arms, both legs, torso, etc.

Just to confirm what you have wrote in your guide, I dont have any way of making videos sorry but I got both achievements while following these descriptions so I would say there correct.

The first achievement I played the level for the first time on hard, then completed the game. Once I did that I repeated the level on easy and as soon as I had destoryed pretty much every biulding again and the helicopters flew away from the village thats when my achievement unlocked.

For the second achievement I actually did this on the Running for the Wolves level where you stop in the ATV and sniper from across the valley at the four guys.

The first guy stood by the camp fire I hit in the head, the second who walks out of the door I hit in the left arm, the third guy who walks on the other side of the fence I hit in the leg and then the final guy who walks up the stairs I hit in the torso and go the achievement Like a Surgeon. So I would say that the achievement requires you to hit the head, torso, one arm and one leg and nothing else, as thats how my achievement unlocked.

To add to your other point about sticking your guide, I think I remember seeing one of the mods post, possibly Method? That you have to wait to atleast 1 month after the game has been released for them to sticky any guide and add them to the main page, so just message a member of the guide team or mods and let them now about your guide and it will be stickied when that 1 month has expired.

So far everything in the guide has been accurate, and very helpful. The videos are also helpful as well, because sometimes just reading something still doesn't make it quite clear, but then when you see it done first hand, it gives you a MUCH better idea.

Great guide.

The conclusion needs some work, as it has no ties to the game/achievements at all except a description that really makes no sense (a great surrounding with team mates?). You have multiplayer in there, but it's more of just a list of classes and modes. You don't go over what actually counts in multiplayer. Like does the time inbetween respawning count? What happens if I quit out early will the 5 minutes I was in there be added to my total time?

What about the classes, what one might be easiest to use? Why do people have RPG, you don't mention that? Snipers have battle rifles and snipers not short and long range. Lot of little things can be fixed here ;)

The conclusion is fine as it states clean up before the conclusion.
Multiplayer you don't need to say "the time in between respawning counts" because it's as playing the game type as a whole. It doesn't state "alive" game play. Kinda obvious. Your requesting info that is totally not needed, and others haven't asked us for that. No one in the forums has even asked a question like that.

I'm not going to go and say, "The sniper is the easiest class to use". As it is all about personal preference, some may be better with a Sniper then a SMG, and some may be better playing with the Assault/Spec Op classes then the Sniper class.

Battle Rifles are also known as Short Range Snipers in reality. Draganov, G3, etc. I'm not going to state "Rifles" as someone may get confused with the Assault class type.

All in all; all I see that could need fixing is grammar, and some of the descriptions.

Exactly. No need to add if time counts in between time. Like honestly, who is going to actually record if that counts for the 2 hour achievements.

Venomized I īm confirming you, you need to shots in both arms, both legs, torso and head.
You have 8 Taliban enough to get the achievement http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/ub/5a/0oCLiGJhbC9CCBsFG1lTWUY3L2FjaC8wLzI2AAAAAOfn5-11vqU=.jpgLike a Surgeon-10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif

best regards

Just to re-confirm you DO NOT!!!!!! need to shoot both arms both legs, torso and head. I got the achievement after killing 4 enemies, 1 arm, 1 leg, torso and head. And like I mentioned in my other post this achievement is also possible on "Running With Wolves" when you stop on the ATV's and you have to shoot the four guys in the camp on the other side of the Gully.

Thanks for the guide, found it quite helpful

Just letting you know for the "Manic Suppression" cheevo it is possible to restart from last checkpoint and still get the achievement. I restarted it twice and it still popped up :)

For Like A Surgeon. I shot everything stated in the guide about 100 times on 8 trys. I was looking around Youtube at some different videos and in a comment it said that a Groin shot is needed (Crotch shot) and sure as hell when i shot an enemy in the family jewels along with the others listed Achievement unlocked.

So if anybody is having trouble unlocking this go for a Crotch shot aswell as the others. May need confirming again by somebody else but its definitly worth mentioning in the guide and it definitly worked for me :)

On another note this guide needs a sticky. Its the only guide on site and its a pretty damn good one aswell. Really helped me getting my 1000 :)

By the sounds of it then, whatever shot you want to pull off for that Like a surgeon achievement you can, because I only had to hit 4 body parts and got the achievement, others have had to shoot like 8 body parts, so venom you might want to add that it could be a little glitchy so if you dont get the achievement try shooting different parts of the body.

If you are sprinting, pressing the :bbut: will cause you to slide. Use this to quickly get to cover.
Learn to use the :lbbut: cover system. It will be a good amount of help while trying to get the upper hand on some enemies.
Take advantage of Headshots and Knife kills as they will reduce your time.
Also take advantage of killing several enemies (or getting several headshots) in a short ammount of time as this will reduce your time.
The Par Times for each mission are as follow:
First In - 25:00
Breaking Bagram - 30:00
Running with Wolves... - 20:00
Dorthy's a Bitch - 17:30
Belly of the Beast - 25:00
Friends From Afar - 15:00
Compromised - 12:30
Neptune's Net - 15:00
Rescue the Rescuers - 28:30

I didn't read thru all the comments so idk if someone mentioned this already, but for "Like a Surgeon" in Mission 7, I think you need to hit the torso twice. While I was going through the beginning, Dusty commented when I killed one guy saying "center of mass." Then, when gunning down the 82mm mortar team (still in the beginning), the achievement popped after I killed a guy and Dusty commented "right in the gut." I'm assuming you need to hit one in the chest and then another in the stomach for this to go. Also, prior to getting the achievement, I think I hit each arm and leg (left and right) on targets so you may need to hit each and not just one, but I am not sure.

I then google it and somebody said to do it on hard, it popped after about 8 buildings.

OK, I'm sorry if this was already mentioned, I didn't read all 8 pages. For the achievement where you have to be top 3 10 times, is that just your team or over all? I currently have 8 second place and 5 first place ribbons, so i should have this, but it hasn't locked. I haven't seen anyone complain about it being glitched so i was wondering if it was only for top over all.

Is there anyway to check how far you are on the achievement? I don't see a ribbon for it (except maybe the 1st place overall ribbon).

Thanks:drunk

There's a medal available for getting a Top 3 place overall 15 times, but there is also a handy progress indicator e.g. x/15 times.

It's the medal that's in the bottom right.

Tier 1 must need further explanation. Somebody skillful should do a walkthrough to show people which part they can rush to save time. I've barely been able to beat the clock in First In and that's just the first mission!

And what does it mean by "scoreboard"? Is it just for the round? If that's the world leaderboard, beat it...

I got this one yesterday on Kabul City Ruins. Get in the main sniper building on the side of the map where the ammo box is in the middle of the small market. Don't go near the windows because you'll get sniped, but stay in the big hole in the building and use the concrete between the hole and the window to protect your body from sniper shots.

Using a sniper rifle yourself (preferably an SV-98 or M24 with HP scope, open-tipped ammo, and the Rangefinder barrel), watch the spawn point that's just behind the wall with the hole in it. When an enemy spawns there, wait about 1.5 seconds and shoot them. The spawn point will stay active for them until around scorechain 5. After that, you'll have to improvise. I went 38-0 doing that, so hopefully this will help you.

Every instance I've seen of people completing It Takes a Village..Out it has been stated that it required multiple playthroughs, and it was no different for me. I recorded three successful runs of that mission, obliterating everything in site. On the third attempt, I eliminated all but two or three buildings prior to the objective building and it popped.

It Takes A Village...Out is a cumulative achievement.
