Ok so I didn't really see a thread about this but I was just wondering what you guys think of the music that will be in FNV? I know I really liked the old 30's-50's style music that was in Fallout 3. I was hoping we would be seeing a comeback of some of those songs. What do you guys want for music in this one?

Someone said to me the soundtrack was on you YouTube. But I don't know if its true. I have also heard Frank Sinatra is on the soundtrack.

I agree the music was a great atmosphere/game addition in F3 and i'd love it to be similar in NV.
One thing i never figured though, why 50's music? What relevance does it have?
I don't care if there's no reason but i guessed there would be.

Lava Tonsil, in response to your question: Pre-1945, the Fallout universe was exactly the same as ours. After 1945, the Fallout universe diverged. After WWII and as the US began to enter the 1950's, they began advance technology at a much faster rate than in our universe. As a consequence, they practically did not develop socially/culturally. The social and cultural norms of the '50s (inculding music) continued to dominate the US all the way to the Great War in 2077 and beyond to the Fallout games.

The music will be basically the same as fallout with the old classic music i personally love the music it's different and it makes good free roam music to listen to..

The music will be the same to Fallout 3 but with the addition of music you might imagine gangsters of the 30s and 40s listening to. It will be compiled by Inon Zur.
