Personally I think there will be no changes at all, they all continue to be the same Generic Lego game with exactly the same gameplay..

@ Benny263, Same gameplay eh? There have been a few significant gameplay changes throughout the lego games. I'm assuming from the fact that you say they all have the same gameplay that you have played them all, but looking at your gamerscore and previously played games, you seem to only have actually played Star Wars TCS. So where does this opinion come from?
I personally feel that if they incorporate all the changes they've made since the first Lego Star Wars games this should be a kick-ass game.
Would still love to see Ghostbusters or LOTR Lego.

Lego LOTR would be so awesome! I love the Lego series overall, as it is one of the few that my wife will actually play along with me, and it's good for my kids as well. Still, I have to wonder at another Star Wars version. =/

I am really looking forward to this one. I loved the first two Star Wars Legos and Batman rocked! I didn't get into the Indiana Jones episodes as much but did complete both. Harry Potter has been a major bore and I can barely put myself into the game to play it.

I like the Lego series... Not sure about the Clone Wars, as I didn't like the prequel movies. I am looking forward to the Pirates LEGO coming later:)

Good to see a lively debate going on here about the Lego franchise. :)

Saves me starting a new thread. The Lego games appeal to my neat and tidy completionist side and my children love them too. Not sure I'll quite be buying day one, still got Batman and TCS to start (done Harry Potter and 1 cheevo left in Indiana Jones TOA) but wait a few days and Ebay is your frind... :)

I've 100%'d Star Wars 2, TCS, Indiana Jones 1 and Harry Potter. Both myself and my GF think that the star wars iterations are just ... more fun.

I will be picking up LEGO clone wars on release :woop:

I'd love a LEGO marvel ultimate alliance type game ... although I've read that the super hero squad game (or whatever it is called) is meant to be similar?

Why not Lego Back to the Future or Lego Jurassic Park? Or even a Lego Gremlins (although there are only two films).

Why not Lego Back to the Future

Because there are no BTTF Legos?

or Lego Jurassic Park?

No JP Legos?

Or even a Lego Gremlins (although there are only two films).

Not even any Gremlins Legos?

Do people even pay attention?

What the fucked does that mean? Do they need existing toys to make videogames?

Yes. Every single Lego game has been based on actual Lego toys so if Lego doesn't have the license to something there isn't going to be a Lego game based on it. It's really not that hard to understand.

They can still create a Lego videogame in the future, purchasing the licenses...

Not on stuff like "Back to the Future" or "Ghostbusters" where other companies own the rights to Lego-style minifigures. Diamond Select has the rights to both of those locked up via their (awesome) Minimates line.

Then you have to realize that even if Lego were to pursue a license for something largely due to the possibility of making a video fame tie-in that they still have to create an actual product that retailers will stock and people will buy. For all we know Travelers Tales pressured Lego onto getting the Pirates rights but no matter what happens Lego will have a bunch of expensive PotC sets flying off shelves around Christmas.

Would they, on the other hand, even be able to get Target or Wal-Mart to stock Lego sets based on something like Gremlins? As awesome as those movies are kids haven't been exposed to them in practically a generation, and Lego has a company policy to create a family-friendly image which rules R-rated stuff like "The Matrix".

Even though we all know that it would never happen due to reasons previously stated, there is no harm in saying Lego Such and Such would be an awesome game. I would love to play Lego Die Hard, even though it would never happen.

I wasn't to impressed with Indy 2 or Harry Potter, so I'm kind of hesitant with SW 3. I rented instead of buying first. But, I'll probably buy it later. Maybe after POTC.

Break new ground! Make the the game and then release the toys! Lego Justice League! Or Lego Superman for the upcoming movie! Lego Avengers anyone?

I'd like a Lego Jurassic park, I think it would suit the series and be easy to tie with films.
