Looks like the xbox.com update has changed a lot of my achievements to being earned on 1/1/1753. Now besides this being funny, I really hope they fix it. I really like going back to games and seeing the dates :(

It looks like that date is displayed if you earned the achievement offline. Also, the achievements seem to be sorted chronologically, so the offline ones are all at the top.

Ugh. I don't like this redesign.

Figured it out - any achievement earned offline, which previously wouldn't display a date on xbox.com, will now show 1/1/1753 as the date you earned it. It screws up the order the achievements show up on xbox.com, but whatever.

Edit: What HamKet said basically ;)

I wonder if this will affect recovering your gamertag? Will all offline achievements have this date if the tag is recovered, and will they be out of order?

That just shows that George Washington and it's Gang had and open mind back in those days for Achievements for the XBOX 360. Washington was a man of vision and knew that Xbox was going to rule America....He He!!!

i can't even log in~!

Just finally got on the website.

How annoying. >.> It does indeed seem to happen on all offline achievements, along with ruining the order. I don't really get why this of all things changed, it was fine without a date. Hopefully this won't screw up anything else.

But oh well... Way to go, MS. Break something that was just fine. lol

10-20-2010, 07:07 PM
This is stupid. Most of my games have this date rubbish.....They better fix this.

10-20-2010, 07:17 PM
The new xbox.com is just agony incarnate. It's slow, painful to navigate and most times doesn't even load the page I'm trying to get to, goes blank and my browser says "Done".

Yay for F5.

I agree with Shryoyami, it wasn't broke so of course they had to go do something about that.

All they had to do was rebrand the colour scheme to the new layout, not completely overhaul the site inside out.

I agree, also I hate the way they've changed the pictures of your played games from those little icons to the rubbish looking game boxes ... great work Microsoft, sigh.

Weird... I'll have to check this out later. Sometimes my net boots me off XBL without me noticing, otherwise I avoide offline achievements but I just got a couple recently.

This doesn't affect me too much since about 98% of my achievements were earned while I was on live, but the annoying thing is when I'm trying to compare my achievements with friends who play offline from time to time. Now it's a jumbled mess with achievements in random orders, where before it was almost perfect. Hoping this gets fixed soon cause it's aggravating the hell outta me at the moment.

10-20-2010, 08:08 PM
Not happy with the new setup either- every page has a lag and yes I too hate the date configuration for cheeves we got offline. Hopefully enough people will complain to where MS fixes/changes this.

OMG Imagine if the xbox was actually invented then by one of the kings of England :O But Microsoft stole there idea.

Then I'm going to have over maybe 10 achievements earned offline then, lol 1753? Really Microsoft?

Personally I can't believe this is such a big deal to some people. A good chunk of my achievements have been offline and have this new date which really doesn't bother me that much(It's annoying having the closest modem in the living room, where I can't play my 360 online whenever I want).. I'm sure once the new site gets up in running to its full potential everything will be fine. Even if the dates don't change, oh well no need to cry over spilled milk.

But this is most likely just a glitch and will be fixed.. Let's not lose sleep over it.

yeah this will be heaven for game hackers and savers, no way to tell who has and hasn't cheated as all the offline achievements are mixed up to all hell. lol

also, if no one's noticed, greasemonkey no longer displays achievement times due to this update. again, making gamesavers harder to prove.

Awesome, xbox.com is finally recognizing that I've been unlocking achievements since before Sweden adopted the Gregorian calender. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1753)

10-21-2010, 01:42 AM
ehh dont like it haha XD

10-21-2010, 09:34 AM
Isn't it fascinating that the Xbox360 was around back in 1753?Its a bloody miracle.I believe that the new website is slow and aggravating. My browser keeps freezing. The whole layout is terrible.

10-21-2010, 10:21 AM
I really don't understand why MS are trying to be cunny funts on the new site, it just looks really awful tbh. (This and the "We were playing Reach" BS.)

Setting the date at 1753 isn't funny in the slightest, it's just fucking stupid and that's not even taking into account that the dumb bastard that set the achievements up for the new site thought it would be nice to organise them by date rather than the way it was already and by not showing all the achievements you have as one solid block when comparing.

Always nice to know my great great great grandad was rocking Gears Of War back then, and finished it on insane for me! Go Grandad.

10-21-2010, 10:49 AM

Thats weird I never noticed the dates for offline achievements being turned to that. Didn't really look around too much because everything was just slow. I wonder if this is a bug or if they will just add any random date to achievements unlocked while offline.

10-21-2010, 11:12 AM
ill jump into my Animus and get some Cheevos....

10-21-2010, 11:15 AM
wow that's great, i never got an offline achievement.

10-21-2010, 05:30 PM
Yeah, these time machines are sweet!

10-21-2010, 07:55 PM
I think its cool I got achievements in 1753.. when I wasn't even alive, or when the Xbox 360 was out for that matter XD

10-21-2010, 08:12 PM
Yea the new design is absolute garbage. They made it to try to sell you more stuff through marketplace, which is no surprise since it's MS. But the way the achievements are sorted is ridiculous with the offline ones coming first and then the ones you unlocked first start at the top and the last one unlocked is at the bottom.

really really poor design.

I can't believe I was playing Avatar the game back in the 1700's.......damn I'm old

10-27-2010, 12:57 AM
I only have one or two offline achievements, but I just checked them and they just say "Acquired". Maybe its been fixed now?

12-14-2010, 03:58 PM

Guys...a little support please?

Achievements are scrambled: http://forums.xbox.com/35239111/ShowPost.aspx

It seems they fixed the 1753 year problem, to be honest I did now know about this untill I descovered the topic 5 minutes ago, but there is another problem now. The offline achievements are scrambled, this is stupid. I mean EVERY one...even back from...2006 or 2007.

I made that topic (Achievements are scrambled) a few days ago hoping for an official to answer but as you can see they totally ignore it. Typical Microsoft BS. Can you check you list and post in my topic if you have similar problems? Something has to be done...

Thank you.
