I am just trying to find a nice slow steady song to get this. I got gold stars and 478 notes on one song 100% that made me super pissed. What are some good choices?

What difficulty do you play on?
Do you have any DLC?

Those are good starters for more info. Off the top of my head, I'd say play "Promised Land" by Vesuvius on Expert Bass. I just replayed it on my offline account to double check the amount of notes and "Bass Streaker" unlocked at the end. 100% GS. It's free to download in the Rock Band Music Store and it's pretty straightforward. :)

thanks for looking into it for me. I actually got it by pure luck on "The rock show" by blink 182 on medium bass. I had no idea how many notes it had, it came out to 504 notes in the song!

I can play expert bass on most songs but the songs with crazy alt strumming I just can't get, i need to calibrate my system some more for those.

This is pretty easy with Du Hast on expert.

Both of those are good songs to get this achievement. However, while I was waiting for this page to load and I was playing Hangar 18 by Megadeth, expert of course and got the cheevo just playing regularly. I would suggest that song since it gives a small challenge, then some difficultly (towards the end with all the HOPOs).

Radar Love on hard has around 1000 notes and was not as difficult as I thought for a five star difficulty bass song. I messed up in the middle of the song, so I still need to go back and get the achievement, but I don't think getting it on that song should be too difficult.

Thanks for the tip.
Just used this song for the 500 bass streak and 100% a song using only upstrums :P

Freebird has over 1000 bass notes and is only mildly difficult. Roundabout has over 600 and is downright easy, and I'm not very good at this game. These numbers are for Medium.

I was able to get the upward 100% strumming for bass and the 500 note streak with "Don't stop Believing." But that's DLC, so if you can have like 160 points laying around you can try that one.

Got this easily on Du Hast. Very repetitive, but it doesn't make me want to shoot myself, like Free Bird often does.

Thanks for this. Radar Love was incredibly simple on hard and easily got the streak.

If you play Expert Bass and have Bat Country, try it. Straight 16th note alt-strumming the entire way (after the intro). I got a 1500-1600 note streak with little to no effort.

I got it with Ramones - "I Wanna Be Sedated" on hard.

I got mine on 30 seconds to mars - closer to the edge on expert...it's fairly challenging, tons of hopos and a fairly quick pace...I usually play guitar and my wife plays bass, she's not used to chords and at one point swore she'd never play with me, that was around gh: aerosmith release I think, now she can't get enough of the games. She usually plays medium, up to hard on songs she's played a lot, and closer to the edge always tripped her up at the end on medium. She asked me to play it on expert and let her watch, just to see what it looked like, and I ended up with the achievement. She got hers on metallica - and justice for all, if I recall correctly.

I used the free Download, Charlene, on hard for the 100% notes hit using upstrum, then I did Du Hast on expert for the 500 note streak. Du Hast could easily be used for both though.

I got it playing When You Were Young on medium bass. On a side note, WTF is up with the orange notes popping up on medium now? Anyone else find it weird?

I haven't played on medium, so I haven't noticed that. Interesting though.

I did it on light my fire on expert, there's certainly enough time to do it. I had 1000 before I knew it!

I got mine on "Blue Monday" on medium, something like 709 notes if ya hit them all, then there is "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" which it is easy to get a good streak on just because it is so long. That was the song I broke 1 million on with just me on med bass, a friend on med guitar, and a second friend on expert vocals, really easy to break 1 million.
