Introduction:
Such a great game for the pc gaming world has finally been made PROPERLY for the Xbox 360, Yes we finally have the sims. You control your sims day-to-day life style, where they work, where they live, what they eat and where they sleep. everything they do is in your power. Ever wanted to be a Surgeon? or maybe be the head of the fire service with a lovely fire engine on your driveway? you can with the sims.

Breakdown:
If you are an experienced "Sims" player then, this will be quiet familiar to you. Although if you are not the tutorials in the game really help and explain the whole game through. Pretty much all you have to do is play and enjoy.

Misc/Clean up:
After completing A full sims life, you may have to go and clean up left over achievements by creating a new sim and heading straight for them. Achieving the 1000 wishes and 150 challenges may take a while these will be the achievements which keep you playing for a long time.

Conclusion:
This game, if you are a true sims player is a keeper. Wont be a quick 1000 but it will be a fun one.

Extinguish a Sim on fire.

If a sim happens to set on fire which trust me is difficult. You need to select a different sim, Then click on the sim on fire and select Extinguish. An easy way to get your sim to set on fire is to build a small room out in the back garden, Make sure you have a door though so your sims can get in and out. Build a fireplace and get your sim to poke the fire, Or if they have a certain handiness skill, Get them to try to upgrade the fireplace. They will soon set a light. Now get your other sim to come to the rescue. Blip!

Become a public menace.

This is also a challenge ("The Reviler"). The achievement and challenge need you to complete is a total of 5 other challenges. Those challenges are :

Ahh, Regret (Return a stolen object.)
After you have stolen an object, simply go up to your mailbox and click "Return object".

Big Ol' Meanie (Be mean 10 times.)
Be mean can't really say a lot about this, just go up to another sim and keep doing the "Mean" things against them.

Public Enemy (Become enemies with 15 Sims.)
Either go to a sim and be mean to them and start fights and rinse and repeat another 14 times, Or goto a community lot and do the "Epic Fail" Karma power, This will freak a lot of people out and then just be mean and fight them till you have 15 enemies.

That's My Candy! (Steal candy from a baby 5 times.)
You will need an Evil trait, i suggest "Kleptomaniac". Then when you have had a baby simply click on your baby and "steal candy", carry on till you have done 5.

Thief! (Steal 20 things with a kleptomaniac Sim.)
As this states your sim needs to have the "Kleptomaniac" Trait, after that you can go to a community lot and steal things when other sims are not looking, i Believe there is a cap on how much you may steal a day but unsure.

Use the Epic Fail Karma Power on 13 unsuspecting sims not in your family.

Any sim, in the street, Around town or that you have invited over just use the "Epic Fail" Bad Karma power on them. The power costs 25 karma posts totalling 325 points in total. You can use the Karma power 13 times on the same sim for this achievement.

When you become partners with another sim this is classed as 1, if you then get engaged that is classed as 2. So you will need to go through at least 3 relationships to achieve this.

Prepare a perfect meal.

Your cooking skill will have to be quite high for this around 8 or above. Cooking something perfect works in the same way as painting a masterpiece. There isn't really that much you can do. There are a few things that may help though. First of all buy the best stove and best fridge. Now with your cooking skill around or above 8, Select your fridge and make sure you select "Make Dinner/Brunch/Lunch/etc"...And pick any item which is expensive to make. Keep doing this until you finally make a perfect meal. At least after all that effort your sim can enjoy it!

Buy out a commercial property in town.

In the Town Map view you can "Partner" with a company for a certain amount of , After you have done this, save your money again and "buy out" the company and blip. I suggest going for the "Paragon Personal Private Charity Warehouse" this costs 15,000 to partner with and then 35,000 to buy out, Also this goes and helps with the "Partners in Crime (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../game/the-sims-3/achievement/45257-Partners-in-Crime.html)" achievement. If you don't have enough money the option will not come up.

Do this on your home, you will receive a check for a certain amount of money just make sure your home has a lot of expensive objects in it before you use the power. Make sure you save your game before attempting this, so you can reload if it doesn't go well.

Grow a perfect plant.

Your Gardening skill will have to be full, level 10, and just grow some plants, sooner or later you will grow 1 perfectly just remember to look after the plants while they grow. When you have seeds (You'll find them like rocks everywhere around your house or parks) and when you have one or more in your inventory go to 'Build & Buy', then 'Family Inventory' and chose 'Sim'. Pick up your seed and just put it on a green area on your property, now go back to 'Live Mode', choose your Sim and move your cursor to that Seed and you'll have the plant option.

Thanks for the great guide NeMiiZz :) Your guide looks pretty good so far considering how fast you've written it.

For the achievement:

And I have a question from my own concern. So you can change your Lifetimespan from Short to Epic. Does this affect to optaining skills, getting faster promotions. I haven't tried it out immo, I'm playing at epic and it seems very slow when I'm working on skills, so I don't know if it's working faster when I adjust the Lifetimespan shorter. Maybe then you can push wishes faster by changing to short.

You can't do it while you're working, when you go to your friends menu or when you'll call a Sim you can filter your friendlist by just people from your work. You have to do it while you're home or by inviting someone traveling to town.

Extinguish a Sim on fire.

If a sim happens to set on fire which trust me is difficult. You need to select them and select Extinguish. Way of sims to get set a light, make sure you do not have a fire alarm above your cooker and let your sim stand near the fire.

This is pretty easy if you have a handy sim. What I did was I got my sim to turn on the fireplace then I got her to put an upgrade on it...... instant sim on fire :-P

no need to be a twat.

anyways great guide so far.
seems complete to me.
everything is pretty straight forward to begin with except for maybe a couple.

and im not exactly sure but i know the challenges(ie. one sim can be a criminal and one can go for policeman and both count towards the get to level 5/10 job) and wishes are cumulative in your house not sure about other saves though.

just one question any answer on wether or not lifetime wishes are completed without being chosen or do you have to wish for that to get it complete when you get to a level 10 career for instance?

To make this much easier, what i did was, invite a friend round, and make sure that you have at least 30 Karma points (100 would be awesome) Then just Spam the Fire Storm Karma, the guest should catch fire, have your Sim extinguish. So you dont ruin your house, save before, then just re-load once youve done it.

Throw an awesome party.

This may sound easy but trust me it isn't! Click your sim and select the Cell phone and now select throw party. When all your guests arrive make sure there is lots of food and music. chat will every guest make them all happy before leaving.

Too make this easier, Buy "Legendary Host" from your Lifetime Rewards, which costs 5,000 points. Then when a few of your guests are there, half way through use the "Good Times" Karma power (30 Points), and obviously talk to people, have food and music ^_^

So I have the option to get the money from them (Charity Warehouse 2,500 and Bakery 1,800). Is this money wich you can get stackable? For the achievement: Sim About Town

You have to check your newspapers for this. On the new delivered newspapers you have an option to 'Check weekly events', just be there on the time which is shown you in the Info Box on the Top Right corner and do what is recommended.
I think the most events are grill and community events.

Just to elaborate on this, when you find out an event

e.g. Meet 'n' Greet @ Central Park - 3pm to 11pm

Go there BEFORE 3pm, and start talking to people. Then when 3pm passes an opportunity will appear. Accept it and the achievement should pop :)

I wasn't there before 3pm, just between the called times and got the achievement anyway, I also got the opportunity mesage but I haven't gained the achievement directly after accepting the oppurtunity message however after a few conversations with some Sims. I don't think you have to be there before to get the chievo and I'm not sure if the times for every town event are fixed or if they are changing.

And it only pops straight away if your midway through a convo (meet n greet) or playing guitar (bards session) etc.

For the "Master Architect" achievement you need to first live in the Goth house (the one that costs like 179k) You will now need about 200k. If you want you can make another save and sell all your deeds to get enough $. When you have enough go to Build & Buy and get buy two parking spots and put them on your property. Buy two 100k cars and put them in that parking spaces this will count towards lot value. Now just exit out and it should pop.

I've got the 'Fit For a King' [Prepare a perfect meal.] achievement yesterday after around ~10 excellent meals, you don't need own ingredients, I just got it and it looks like you have a rare chance to get it finally like paint masterpieces. I also figured out you can't do it with salads cause an autumm salad has always just a normal quality, also try to make meals where you need a stove for it and do the option 'Have Lunch.../Dinner.../Brunch.../Whatever' and not 'Serve...'; I got it with the 'Have...' option and it looks like you have a better chance with that. Sadly I've forgot which meal I've prepared perfectly but it was definetly one of the more expensive meals.

For gardening; Yeah that's really stupid made, when you have seeds (You'll find them like rocks everywhere around your house or parks) and when you have one or more in your inventory go to 'Build & Buy', then 'Family Inventory' and chose 'Sim'. Pick up your seed and just put it on a green area on your property, now go back to 'Live Mode', choose your Sim and move your cursor to that Seed and you'll have the plant option.

Another Question. Can I make a pond on my property? I know you can make swimming pools but I would have my own pond and don't want to go always to a park to fish :( Can't find any alternative. Also I miss the good old whirlpool, that was one of the best things in the old Sims games.

Unlock every Good Karma Power by purchasing them with Challenge Points.

All together the challenge points you will need is 950. When you have this amount of points and have completed the following challenges,

I Double Dare Ya
Home is Where the Simoleons Are

Simply buy them all, you don't have to use them all.
You also need the 'You Never Forget Your First Kiss' Challenge for the 'Get Lucky' Karma.

Don't worry, looks pretty good so far. You have at least a detailed description for every achievement and also some vids, I'm not a guide specialist but every description is comprehensible and everyone should be able to get every achievement after them.

Maybe some little corrections for my part:

Glitchy achievements: I'm sure none (There are some glitchy gameplay parts but no glitchy achievements, everyone who still have it 1000 had no glitched chievos).
For 'That New Car Smell': I would add an info that you just can sell your car farther when you've got the achievement and when you're short of cash.
For 'Movin' On Up': Add a description like for 'But it's Inflammable!'. If you don't like to move out from your old home but need the 40 G achievement; You can make bevor you're moving out a new save, then go to the 'Move' option with your telephone or computer and chose a new home location. When the achievement popped up you can quit your game and load your save which you've done before moving out. So you don't have to be really rich for it but remember you don't get the 'Movin' On Up' Challenge completed if you reload your save (That count also for the 'But it's Inflammable!' Challenge).
For 'Epic Fail': I would like to know if you have to do it on 13 different unsuspecting Sims or if it still counting towards when you do it 13 times on some unsuspecting Sims (or 13 times always on the same one) multiple times cause it's easier when you just spam one Sim full with the 'Epic Fail' Karmas.
For 'Wishful Thinker': I would add this achievement directly above the 'Wish-Master' achievement and add the same description 'Refer to "Miracle Worker" Achievement Below.' Then add a good combined description for all of this three Wish achievements.

I have also good news; The money you can get from your Community Properties is stackable! I own the Charity Warehouse now, normally you become 4,000 in a week. I checked it now after 2 weeks and I can get 8,000 , that's great if you forget to go there don't worry you'll become the next even more :).

Quote about the "Buy a Car" thingy:
Saving before you buy a car and then buying it, is the best way because you always lose some of the money buying something and then selling it.

It's easier to just save, buy the car, and then load the previous point.
The achievement stays unlocked, only the challange isn't.

Shortly said, it's your choice :)

EDIT: Just like Movin' on up. :)

I don't see why you would even go through all the trouble. The cheapest car is like 1,100$. Also it counts as a challenge towards the challenges achievements.

I just found something out.
You can get:

That New Car Smell!
Partners in Crime
Owned!
Home is Where the Simoleons Are
Movin' On Up
Pyromaniac

Completed very easily by just choosing the richest family.
When you create a new game, just select "Choose a Family" and select the richest one. First of all buy a car ($1100 / gets you 1 achievement with 5 G) Then just buy out Paragon Personal Private Charity Warehous. (First become a Partner, then become the owned / gets you 2 achievements with 25 G) then go to buy / build and place some thing, then press LB to undo it, then quit buy / build (gets you 1 achievement with 10 G) and lastly, select your phone, choose move and move to a cheap place! (gets you 1 achievement with 40 G) This way instantly gives you 40 + 10 + 15 + 10 + 5 = 80 G!

EDIT: Save the game after all of this and leave it saved as-is to also have the challanges completed!

Extinguish a Sim on fire.

If a sim happens to set on fire which trust me is difficult. You need to select them and select Extinguish. A way to do it is, invite a friend round, and make sure that you have at least 30 Karma points (100 would be awesome) Then just Spam the Fire Storm Karma, the guest should catch fire, have your Sim extinguish the other sim. So you don't ruin your house, save before, then just re-load once you've done it. rinse and repeat.
there is an easy way to get this all you have to do is buy a fire place put a couple of walls up to the side of it and then just have one of your sims poke the fire until it set them on fire.

No you don't you can live on any of the top 3 priciest houses, it doesn't need to be on the goth house.

No, but that's the easiest.

Actually it would be a little harder because you get bigger bills on the more expensive properties and since the gothic house is the most expensive you get the highest bills. Since bills are about 1% of what your houses total worth is technically you get bigger bills because the gothic house starts off with the highest price tag.

It obviously doesn't really matter though just the way you said it made it sound like you NEEDED the gothic house.

Okay you're making WAY to big of a deal about this. You won't have any bills because all you're doing is buying the house, buying the two cars and then once you have the achievement reloading your save. It IS easier. If you bough any other house you would need more then just the two cars. It just seems like you looked SO hard for something wrong with my solution and this is all you came up with.

Okay. I think you should update the achievement for 250k lifetime happiness because getting the abilities from those help A SHIT LOAD! To keep track just add up all the ones that you have spent as it will have a check next to each one you bought and how much it was.

Another thing for the one for getting the perfect fish just get up to level 3 or 4 and use the lucky karma power. Some live bait doesn't hurt either.

On the grow a prefect plant just plant an apple seed, take care of it and fertilize it with fish. Once it matures replant it. Then just rinse and repeat two or three more times.

I'm looking for someone who will fully complete this guide for me. Today i decided i would kick my Xbox over in a tantrum which has resulted in my sims 3 disk having a really big scratch all the way around the disk. I shall go get this sorted but black ops is only a few days away and i know for a fact that game is going to pull me in for a few months at least. It would be a shame for this guide to just die out. So up for offers if you want to pick up from where i have left off. I will want to be credited just as much as the person who picks the guide up from here.

To cheat, press LB + RB + LT + RT in the "Menu" where you get Save, Options and stuff.
It's the in-game one, after you load. Further instructions are on-screen.

This, however, blockes EVERY Achievement AND Challenges from being achieved.

Sure you can ;)

Just found out something.

There actually is a glitchy achievement. It's the "Expertise" one.
Well, there is only one of 10 skill that is glitchy but...

Sometimes when the Athletic skill is at level 10, the challenge won't unlock and nor will the achievement. So far it's only occured with Athletic skill for me.

Hey NeMiiZz, I have a question I want to ask.

Do you mind if I copy the "Leet Skillz" text (the milestones to be axact) to use in my challenges guide? I'd very much apreciate it if I may :)

Well, I could write them all myself, but still asking ;)

Welcome a child into the family.

When you are in a Romantic relationship with another sim and try "Woo hoo"ing a few times. After this you will be able to try for a baby. Select the other sim and select "Try for a baby". If you are successful you will hear the baby tune after they have finished within a few sim days, you can enjoy a little baby sim, Oh and your 40 big ones.

You can get this by using a phone and adopting a child too

Just fill up your entire lot with counters, and then place a laptop on every single counter. That will also do the trick of gettin it easy.

Awesome guide sir. Checked out the other one that some dude in here was trying to point was better. I immediatly refreshed back to this one. I just picked up the game today (sacrificed some of my CE Dead Space 2 Credit too!) and looking forward to it. I adored The Urbz: Sims in the City for the DS so much...I bought it 3 times LOL. It really came down to I never paid full price for a DS game. I always traded stuff towards 'em and everytime I got rid of The Urbz, I wanted to replay it the following week or month. Tried the PS2 version and it didn't compare. Was hoping they'd port this one to the xbox after it's huge (and obvious) PC success.

Kudos for the great guide and looking forward to playing.

Tip: Go, get the "Moodlet Manager" as soon as you're able to afford it for 450 Challenge Points. It makes the game so much easier in general since it will cure all negative and neutral moodlets and will restore your Sim's needs (sometimes the Moodlet Manager fails and your Sim will be exhausted but choose "cure" again and you'll be fine). Then you can fully concentrate on making money, developing your skills, relationships, etc.

Throw an awesome party.

This may sound easy but trust me it isn't! Click your sim and select the Cell phone and now select throw party. When all your guests arrive make sure there is lots of food and music. Also Buy "Legendary Host" from your Lifetime Rewards, which costs 5,000 points. Then when a few of your guests are there, half way through use the "Good Times" Karma power (30 Points). Talk with all the sim's there and make sure they leave happy.

I got this by accident... I proposed to my soon to be wife, and then decided to throw a wedding party I invited 1 person and my soon to be wife. An in game hour later I got a wish to throw a private wedding... So i just threw the private wedding and was married. By the time the party time came around, the 1 other dude I invited came and started playing his guitar... I went to bed, and my wife went to work (it said I couldn't leave until the party was over, but i still left)

The dude played his guitar for a very long time... but when he finished and left, I got the Epic Party Achievement.

Also, does anyone know if these achievements stack over mutliple sims? or do you have to get the 1000 wishes and 150 challenges all with only 1 sim...

@Skai, if youre going for romantic interest you can try with a new family... make a household of 2 (roommates) and when they arrive at the house, just start them talking and flirting as if their lives depended on it... soon enough you get the romantic option of taking it slow (which actually means going steady) and that's your first point... then move into the bedroom and woohoo (maybe twice) and then have one of them propose marriage... tadaa second point.
Do it again with a new household for another 2 points and then just once more to the steady-fase and you'll get the romantic achievement. That;s how I did it... it'll cost you 20 minutes top...

you actually dont need more than one playthrough.
if you wanted to just start a house and strategicly place 4 or 5 sims with desired traits.

then go crazy.

theres no story line in this version unlike other versions so basically the point of this game is to do the goals/challenges and have fun building houses thats about it.
