Overview:
-Estimated achievement difficulty: 6/10
-Offline: 30
-Online: 2
-Approximate amount of time to 1000http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg: 10-15 Hours
-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3, Adventures, Free Play, and Time Trials
-Number of missable achievements: None
-Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No Cheats
-Does difficulty affect achievements?: No
-Glitchy achievements: No
-Unobtainable achievements: No
-Extra equipment needed?: Kinect, A second human being

All the achievements are fairly simple, except "Platinom Nom Nom". This makes the full 1000/1000 much more difficult, but you can expect an easy 980/1000. Besides that one, this game is more like a 3/10 for difficulty.

Introduction:
Welcome to Kinect Adventures. For the best experience, you should have 6-10 ft. of space between you and your TV for absolute accuracy. Also try to remove any obstacles on your sides if you can, as some of the game requires you to move far left and right. It could be the difference between Gold and Platinum. You may also want to stretch out, because you're going to have to jump around and move a lot. Don't be surprised if you're sore the next day!

There are 5 different activities with each one having 6-9 different levels or courses. The levels for each activity aren't drastically different but there's some variety. This will likely be your first experience with the Kinect sensor so you'll be able to look past some of the repetitiveness of the game. The main chunk of achievements will come through your Adventures, Free Play, and Time Trials playthroughs, with a little cleanup for various other tasks.

General Tips:

20,000 Leaks-
Something you might not realize right away is that for leaks in front of you, you need to lunge or stick your arm ahead of you to plug those leaks. You can't simply wave your hand in that area. More advanced levels will require you to plug leaks on the sides of the tank, as well as areas of the floor. These are hard to miss so make sure to glance down there periodically for the lobsters that poke the holes there. You will also have to plug several holes simultaneously. Use every part of your body, including your chest and head to plug these leaks. Overall these are fairly easy.

River Rush-
In general, you want to take "the high route". I'd also say that 95% of time you want to jump off a ledge or a cliff rather than simply falling off it. Try to figure out what will register as a jump without tiring unnecessarily. You can lean side-to-side for subtle movements, and sidestep for larger moves.

Rallyball-
This game is a balance between hitting the ball hard and simply blocking the ball to keep things rolling. Hitting the ball hard will allow you to engulf the ball in flames and will shoot through several blocks. However, if you have multiples going and they happen to be the ones that score bonus pins, it's wise to just keep them all going as long as possible. Always get your hand (or feet or body) in front of the ball before it gets there, rather than simply taking a tennis stroke at it. If you do go for a hard hit, "wind up" your swing without moving your hand away from that area. Missing it would be more crucial than not getting a flame hit. If possible, aim for ball/pin multipliers.

Reflex Ridge-
This, more than any of the games, involves physical activity. This will leave you the most tired and the sorest the next day. Learn what the Kinect registers as a jump because you'll be doing a lot of them. You'll want to jump when you are sure you are clear of obstacles; don't get too fancy. If you need to duck or dodge something, focus on that so you get the pins for avoiding obstacles. Now when the coast IS clear, jumping is very important, as the time bonus is a huge chunk of the pins you get.

Space Pop-
Always pay attention to the edges as bubbles come out where the holes light up. This game sometimes seems hectic, but after 2 or 3 tries you realize there is a certain spot for each pattern where minimal movement is involved and you can collect lots of bubbles by simply standing or floating there. With your arms stretched out, you can collect four rows at a time. With that said remember your moves and be calm but quick with your movements.

Adventures Mode:
Adventures is basically the activities bundled up in groups of 3-5 levels requiring to get a certain medal or complete them under a certain time. There are 3 tiers of difficulties and one final adventure. This breaks down into 3 Basic Adventures, 8 Intermediate Adventures, 8 Advanced Adventures, and The Ultimate Treasure final adventure. None of them are practically hard, and none of them ever require Platinum Medals. This is why it is great to start with Adventures as you can get used to the game and Kinect while completing beginner tasks.

You will unlock various items beating these 20 Adventures:

Multiple Achievements
11 Living Statues
10 (5 male, 5 female) Avatar Awards
Time Trials

When you earn Living Statues, you should record all of them, and upload one of them. If you forget you can do them later however.

Free Play:
While there are multiple achievements surrounding Free Play, essentially what you need to do get them all in co-op (online or off), and earn a Platinum Medal on every level of every activity. Co-op is a lot of fun, although a bit clumsy. Your best bet is to hope for as many Platinum Medals in co-op as you can then finish the rest by yourself.

Time Trials:
The Time Trials are unlocked throughout Adventures Mode. The requirements are very lax for these as you gain more time by collecting pins.

Conclusion:
Once you mop up some uploading, sharing, and viewing achievements, and play both an online AND offline co-op session, you should be done. Congrats on an exhausting 1000!

Earned a Platinum Medal, or saw one earned, in all Free Play levels

The hardest achievement in the game obviously. Remember, if you received Platinum in Adventures Mode, this does not count, you have to do them all in Free Play. While it is a blast to play co-op it doesn't seem to offer any advantages so it's best to attempt this solo. Some games require a lot of jumping and sidestepping so you'll likely get tired. Make sure you are well rested for the more grueling of activities

I'm not sure what tips I can offer quite yet on getting Platinum by I will provide them should I be able to explain them...perhaps a "tips" section explain each game in the roadmap. A good chunk of it just comes down to your physical "willingness" to jump around and side to side. A very small portion goes to coordination and maybe actual physical fitness, but Platinum mainly comes down to jump, duck, side step and pose and your 'want' to do so. You can't get these achievements without a lot of moving!

Great start. I think what gamers would want for the platinum medals are the scores needed for each event/challenge. Tips on best routes to take on the water might help too.

We'll all have to get together and figure that out in the other thread what's the Platinum thresholds. Perhaps we can link to that then.

I'd say it's actually 3 minumum playthroughs: adventures, free play, and time trials.

Great job on the guide. I'll see if I can start keeping track of the thresholds for platinum.

Wondering if completing these DLC levels are required for achievements? I suppose it would be safest to get the achievement before adding the DLC if people haven't yet just in case.

Yea, it's hard to estimate or assume how much time a difficult task will take. Great example...BEST example...Call of Duty 4. Had to re-do so many Veteran levels, and hours and hours on Mile High. Perhaps there are others who breezed though campaign and spent 30 mins. on Mile High.

But, for this game a 10-15 range may be more appropriate. I'm terrible at gauging time, because I often have to game in short spurts so some games takes me days and days so in my head I think "40 hours" when everyone thinks its 15. So I tried aiming low with ten, but I'm going to make it 10-15 now though.

The difficulty steeps at some points. Getting platinum on the advanced raft and bubble pop games is actually not a walk in the park. For the latter I'd almost recommend a guide outlining the patterns and where to stand to maximize bubble popping.

i have a question for the teamwork cheevo...last night i played some rounds with my sister and also made kinect recognize her. when she left the room she was signed in also, so i played some levels in free play alone, but with her signed in. Does that count too or to i have to repeat the level with another player?

Great guide, however 7/10?? No way. the plats are easy if you realize which ones are better solo and which co op. Rallyball and the Bubble game ares easy to plat if youre playing co op with another adult. However, the rafting and 20000 leaks ones are best done solo. Also just remember what you scored for the gold medal and know how much more you need to go, its usually only a few more medals. Its not that bad.

Outstanding guide, Pink. The only advice I can offer regards the best way to get platinums. If you have a solid online partner, that seems to be the easiest way to get them, particularly in Rallyball and Space Hopper (or whatever the zero-g game is called). Unless you have considerable space or two small people, platinum is more difficult with two local people. Either that or my partner was terribly uncoordinated. Solo seems to require much more movement and coordination, so it may be difficult for some people.

Nice guide, but, oh dear, platinum in all levels ? That's going to be a hard ones, why do they make this achievment secret -_- . Was already happy that it seemed they just wanted to get "Gold" in every acitivity, which really isn't that hard, if you try a couple of times. But platinum seem's very hard ...

Well you have to unlock them first. After you unlock them they should have their own selection on the main menu called time trials. It's the option furthest to the right.

Might be a good idea to say something like 3 or 4/10 difficulty for 980 points, and 7/10 for full 1000.

Platinums are not easy, but they aren't impossible either. I must try to get time to post some tips here, or possibly record some vids :/

ALL LEVELS: I would recommend configuring the sensor so that the right or left most part is at a wall. The reason I say this is that during levels if I wanted to change direction fast, I could just dive towards the wall with my hand out and then push on it to change to the opposite direction. Wall on both sides would be ideal. I found these easier when I was playing in bigger spaces. Familiarise yourself with where the limits and front are... that way you can dive forward and backward, knowing that you'll be in the right place without having to look where you are going.

Space Pop: There are 2 things to know in this. The help tells you, but most ignore it. Put your arms straight down to fall quickly and put your arms straight out to your sides to hover in place. This way you can stay at a certain height and run forward, back, and side to side easily. In all of the levels, there's a sequence and "sweet spot" where you can stand. If you find these spots, you can get there and wait for the bubbles to hit you. When I got platinum on all of these levels, I missed hardly any at all, and without much replaying, so it is very possible.

20,000 Leaks: Like space pop, try to know exactly where front, back, side to side limits are. Sometimes you only need to plug holes singly even if there are 4 holes at once, and sometimes you have to plug all of them for them to disappear. After you play most levels, you should know when to expect each type. If you only have to hit them singly, then I found it faster if I kinda wave towards the spot rather than holding my hand in place. Also, replaying a level, you should know what positions are gonna come up. I always hold my hand in place before the first fish makes the hole.. then it fixes instantly.

Rallyball: Not much I can help with here, but the thing that instantly helped me go from golds to platinums was by hitting the ball HARD. If you bat or swing at the ball when it comes towards you it rockets back at the pads. (it has flames on it) If you do this, it can break more than one pad, so it's well worth it.

River Rush: Again, not much can help here. Really, these levels are all about knowing where the jumps are and what routes to take. In general, if you stay up high in the clouds as much as possible, you will get more tokens. Just keep replaying while the route is still fresh in your mind.

Reflex Ridge: Same with river rush, just replay until you know where jumps, ducks, and sidesteps are. Try not to rush too much by jumping to speed up when there really isn't space. it's more important to get all tokens and avoid all obstacles than get to the line quicker.... although that is important too.. lol

Hope this drivel helps someone.

Played all levels with multiple players

The description is a bit deceptive, you just need to play all 42 levels in 2-player mode, regardless of score

This is the picture for the achievement.

I got my BEST BUDS accidentally when my dog walked past and the kinect recognised him as a second player and it just popped. I think it only unlocks when you are in the middle of playing a game and THEN someone joins in.

Thanks for the guide I got Gold on all Free-Play.

Reflex Ridge seems to be the hardest to do - with all the jumping and ducking - quite exhausting - biggest problem seems to be, that the game needs time to realize I stand up again after ducking while playing reflex ridge. Jumping to gain speed - is it Counterstrike again?

... I do have the bonus levels from the DLC but I'm not sure what the DLC adds.

Scroll through each freeplay section - on the far right the bonus DLC 'maps' will have a blue stick pin in the top of their thumbnail picture. I suppose it's to show that they were "tacked on".

For the Platinum Nom Nom achievement, since it says you can see it earned, I was wondering if this was possible: since I only need a few more platinum medals, I was thinking about having a friend join me online to help me get platinum in the last 3 rallyball levels, and if those 3 platinums are my last three, I'll get the achievement and then he should also, correct? Since he saw me get a platinum on all levels?

By the way, LitePink, I think you should add to your guide for the Platinum Nom Nom achievement that Co-op makes Rallyball and Space Pop drastically easier to get platinum on. The requirements don't increase, but you have twice as much area covered. In your guide you say co-op doesn't offer any real advantages but I'd have to disagree when it comes to Rallyball and Space Pop.

I dont think he will, as he only saw you get it in 3 levels.

Thank you. One note, as another member mentioned. For 11 Living statues you may have to go to show & share and record the final living statue (should be farthest left statue of you in jumpsuit). I had chosen to record at every opportunity, but still had to do this to get the achievement to pop.

I think the game means seeing him GET THE ACHIEVEMENT for getting platinum on everything in stead of seeing him get platinum on everything... not sure but this is how most "or see..." achievements work.

Thanks.
I was wondering why I didn't get this one after completing adventure mode and recording everything the game prompted.
