Nope, you have to look each song up individually

You have to go to the RB3 music store. You can find it on the main menu. Just select Get More Songs and then the RB music store.A few of the songs that I got for free were......

Stephen & the Colberts-"Charlene"
Vesuvius-"Promised Land"
Glados-"Still Alive"
Lights Resolve-"Dreaming of Love"
Little Fish-"Am I Crazy"
Miranda Cosgrove-"Headphones On"

I know there is more that I dowloaded which were free, but I can't remember them all right now. Hope that helps

There's also the 20 free songs from Rock Band 2, although I don't know if those count or not.

Wouldn't it have been easier going to xbox.com and typing the song names in the search bar then asking and waiting for a response to that question?

well since a. I dont know the song names of the free ones and b. im not in a rush at the moment as im not on the game I'd imagine not.

It was a pretty simple question as to wether they could be organised that way so that when I do go on the game that they could be downloaded that way. Was it really worth the time of typing that pointless response?

Before I continue, I have a SERIOUS question that is bugging me:

Does ANYBODY on this forum actually use the internet to look up information or search THIS website to find information instead of making unnecessary threads to get the answer? You're on the INTERNET. I don't get it? It's the INTERNET!...:confused::confused::confuse d::confused::confused::confused::confused::confuse d::confused::confused: How in the world would you guys get research papers done or do info lookups for jobs? Make a thread?:confused::confused::confused: (I'm not making fun, I'm REALLY asking)

And someone typed the names above, but maybe you missed them.

Just click the links I posted in another thread below to download them from your computer:

You're on the internet. There's this thing called a search engine:

Google, (http://www.google.com/) Bing, (http://www.bing.com/) Yahoo, (http://www.yahoo.com/) Ask.com (http://www.ask.com/)

Use one of them. The unnecessary threads are really getting ridiculous.

Stephen And The Colberts--Charlene (I'm Right Behind You) (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf00f2-0000-4000-8000-000045410829?cid=SLink)
Glados--Still Alive (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf005d-0000-4000-8000-000045410829?cid=SLink)
Vesuvius--Promised Land (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf00b6-0000-4000-8000-000045410829)
Miranda Cosgrove--Headphones On (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf0186-0000-4000-8000-000045410829)
Lights Resolve--Dreaming of Love (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf03ac-0000-4000-8000-000045410829?cid=SLink)
Little Fish--Am I Crazy (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf0440-0000-4000-8000-000045410829?cid=SLink)
Rock Band Network Megamix (for anyone randomly reading this, YES the vocal glitch HAS been fixed) (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf04f2-0000-4000-8000-000045410829)

In the future, if you can't find a Rock Band song, search "xbox.com rock band ______" (write the name of the song in the blank). On Google, at least, the first link result will be the direct link from the Xbox website. ;)

That was an entirely rude answer to an honest question, which you must not have understood. He was asking if there were MORE songs other than the ones listed above.

He also asked if the songs could be listed (in game) in order of price. Which would put the free ones at the top, and then he would be able to see which (if any) other free songs there are.

The answer is no, you can't order them by price as far as I know.

Actually, he asked if there was an easier way for him to find all of them grouped together. He never said "are there any other free songs?" And after re-reading all of it, I DID forget to mention that songs cannot be sorted by price (many people have asked Harmonix for this option though). But if he actually checked the in-game music store, wouldn't he have found out that you can't sort by price? Oh, wait...I'm being rude again.

When I typed out my post, there were TWO other threads on page 1 asking about the free songs and another one that got pushed to page 2 or 3. The post I quoted was directed at someone else that made 3 unnecessary threads in the span of two days to ask simple questions (and the thread was deleted...it will say "invalid" if you click the quote). Posters listed the songs the OP could download in THIS thread and still this was typed:

well since a. I dont know the song names of the free ones

...they were listed above. And someone even suggested to search them on Xbox.com.

b. im not in a rush at the moment as im not on the game I'd imagine not.

So I figured I'd post the xbox.com links since he WAS on his computer and then they could all be downloaded when he turned his Xbox on. But then there was this:

It was a pretty simple question as to wether they could be organised that way so that when I do go on the game that they could be downloaded that way. Was it really worth the time of typing that pointless response?

If THAT'S not kinda rude, I'm not sure what is. The "A" part of his post was not necessary, since he was given the names of the songs. And the last quote above could've simply said "Well, I saw the list of free songs, but can songs in the music store be sorted by price to find the free ones easier or would getting them from xbox.com be a faster way?"

That's not the same as "Oh, it was a pretty simple question..." and on and on. The reason I had my...moment (yeah, that's what I'll call it :p) is because I've seen the same questions asked over and over and over. It's sort of like how the Halo Reach section was the first few weeks. It's not a big deal in the beginning, but after a while you start to wonder if people actually search for information, or if they just make threads out of laziness...or other reasons.

When I first got Rock Band two years ago, I had no idea of ANY of the songs that were available to download. So I did an internet search and found a Rock Band DLC wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complete_list_of_downloadable_songs_for_the_Rock_B and_series). It lists every song that's available and denotes which songs are free and half-priced. And there are also Youtube videos that show gameplay for DLC content, if someone is wondering whether or not a song that he/she wants to buy is any fun.

I understand that people have questions about Rock Band (and other games) sometimes, but you'd be surprised how much stuff you could find on ANYTHING just doing a simple internet search (or a forum search here). :p There's also the official Rock Band forums (http://www.rockband.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?6-Rock-Band) and website (www.rockband.com) (that people do have to visit for an achievement). 99% of the questions posted on xbox360a have been asked on the RB forums days before (or even weeks/months before) I see them here. It's not a big deal or anything. But when you start seeing the same questions asked about the same topic (posted on page 1 no less), "did you search?" does not sound like a rude thing to ask.

We ARE on the internet and it's filled with information. People who grew up without it talk about how "easier" it is to find answers to any questions you may have. But with all the threads that people start on any website, that seems like the furthest thing from the truth. I guess my issue sometimes is that people post for attention, people create threads because they're too lazy to search, people post to troll and some people post innocently, unaware of other threads. And when that much posting gets done, they all blur into one another every once in a while.

If you edit your post down to just the above, it will finally be relevant to this thread.

Umm you called him rude, he was justifying why he posted what he did above which is fair enough (seriously, the search function is not that complex to use)
