View Full Version : Avatar Issues?

Anybody else having this problem... where it keeps changing your Avatar to one of the generic ones? I'm signed in, use the 'change avatar' option... I play one game and it then loads up the second part but i'm back to being a different avatar, half the time a different gender too? I'm getting tired of having to re-select my avatar on EVERY event.
I don't have this issue on any game apart from this one?

Sounds like it doesn't know what gamertag you are. Have you calibrated it to recognise you?

Yeah, all done but still seems to be an issue. My brothers have the same issue on their Kinect too and so does one of my mates?

I've calibrated my gamertag aswell and often it changes me to one of the generic ones. It usually happens if i stand too far away/too close to my Kinect, as in moving out of the recognition zones. ;)

It started doing it ever since launch & now I've used the calibration card (smiley card) it's stopped doing it :)
Another good tip that I've used is to update the Kinect ID calibration (not the card) for 4 different scenarios -
1. Morning/Midday with window blinds/curtains closed.
2. Morning/Midday with window blinds/curtains open.
3. Afternoon/Night with lights on.
4. Afternoon/Night with lights off.
It works like a treat now on any game & the kinect dashboard - just remember to UPDATE your Kinect ID calibration & not delete/overwrite :)
