800 MSP for 2 hours worth of gameplay is out of order. To be honest the only thing that will make it longer is the Il Principe achievement and considering that achievement includes content already on the disc 800 MSP is a bit steep.

Regardless it's a fun 2 hours and excuse to plat more AC.

should have been 560 like all the other games dlc's

I was satisfied with the DLC. I think it will take a little longer than 2 hours though (for those going for 100% synch).

I didn't get the collector's edition of the game and I was pleased to see that it came with the Drachen Armor and the two Templar Lairs that came with it.

At least it cam with achievements this time unlike the Assassin's Creed 2 DLC.

Isn't there also a new multiplayer mode in the dlc? That's worth the time you're willing to put into it ;).

Two hours for the DLC's main story is pretty fast but unlocking the 100% sync achievement will take some time if you haven't already done so in the original game.

For only 800 MSP with multiplayer content, singleplayer content and 10 achievements for 250 GS. Pretty good deal

The DLCs were about the same length in ACII so there's no reason to have expected much more from this one. Eight missions doesn't take very long at all. I haven't bought this one yet but I'm getting it soon because I love Assassin's Creed; I'm just not getting my expectations up since ACII's DLC wasn't the greatest by any means but I plan to enjoy what's there. Besides, this one has achievements.

It was pretty short, but it was a helluva lot more interesting then the AC2 DLC in terms of story. It actually connects to the present-day plot, whereas AC2's DLC didn't really add anything to the overall story. Plus Brotherhood was severely lacking face time for Leonardo.

Just finished my 1250 and I'm satisfied. I did run into a couple weird things though.

1. For some odd reason, playing the DLC missions takes away all of my parachutes.

2. Twice I got stuck in a mode that wouldn't let me use tunnels or access the DNA menu. It said the mission I was currently in didn't allow it. Problem is, I wasn't in a mission.

Despite the little stuff though I'm happy with the DLC. I'm still going to play the Templar lairs here tomorrow to see what those are like.

Yea I loved ACB but I'm still debating to get the DLC, 800 msp could go towards something else i might get more hours off of.

Both those things happened to me in the main game, so it probably isn't the DLC

I think its well worth the 800msp as you get single player and more multi player, so im happy with it.

Same thing happened to me. The parachutes not really big as I had got that achievement already, but not using tunnels was a bitch.

800 MSP for 2 hours worth of gameplay is out of order.

That'll be why there's a bunch of new MP content with it as well.

As such this is a pretty needless thread.

And this is a pretty needless reply.

I don't care for the AC MP, I don't like it!
I play AC SP so I want new content for SP not MP, besides we're paying for SP content so they have to deliver SP content not MP content!
If they think people want MP content then they should sell map packs and the like instead of selling the SP content for a higher price or making it shorter.

I did not know that.
Bit gutted I bought the Codex edition now.
Well I still got the pretty box.

It did add some new stuff to online as well. So I don't mind paying 800msp for it.

The single player missions were a bit on the short side, and if it were 800 just for them then yes, it would be a completely over-priced.

But we also got new multiplayer content & the preorder/special edition stuff to so I think it works out quite nicely :)

I thought so too, that's why I bought it almost immediately, and well, it's more Assassin's Creed for all I care - WITH achievements this time around ;)

Also "Il Principe", the 100% synchronize achievement, counts for more replayability, in my case at least, since I never really bothered to go 100% in the retail edition :)

wait so you need to pay the 800 msp even to get the other new achievements like clowning around or special delivery?

Yeah...I don't know. I have the game for both PS3 and 360. Had the DLC on 360 and liked it enough to buy it again.

Even if the missions are short - full sync/collectibles take awhile more.

And - the MP content is quite excellent. I absolutely love Escort and Assassination feels like it's the true Free- For All the game should have had (which isn't a slight, it's just so naturally fun).

I think if you don't play online then this might not be worth it, maybe - but if you do it for sure is. Even still I found it to be better than most $15 map packs out there.

Then don't play it. No one cares.

I play AC SP so I want new content for SP not MP

Not everybody plays this game solely for the single player.

besides we're paying for SP content so they have to deliver SP content not MP content!

This makes ZERO sense. How are we paying for SP content? The DLC has both SP and MP content so if you bought it you are paying for BOTH....

If they think people want MP content then they should sell map packs and the like instead of selling the SP content for a higher price or making it shorter.

If you want to buy 5 MP maps for $15 like in Halo or CoD be my guest, but I honestly don't know how you can complain about the content you get here for 800 MSP...8 new missions, 10 new achievements, 250 :gsicon:, 4 new multiplayer characters, 2 new MP modes and a new MP map.

Maybe you prefer such DLCs as the ones for NFS: HP where you only get 3 cars and 8 races for 560 MSP and those only have 45 - 75 :gsicon:. So maybe you should stop complaining because this shit isn't Burger King and you can't have it your way.

For most of the missions, I had fun. Some of them were really irritating though, like that stupid painting exhibit.....

Took me half an hour to finish it.

You're paying for contents. Doesn't matter what you like or don't like. It has a great add-on for the single-player and has some nice additions for the multi-player. Just because you only wanted the Single Player content doesn't mean it's a rip-off.

Besides, the single-player content lasted a while for me. I wouldn't say it lasted hours and hours, but I completed after like 3 or 4 hours. I took my time, didn't rush and enjoyed the content.

For starters, this DLC is much more satisfying than than ACII's. Second, asssuming you have Xbox Live, you can get much more than 2 hours with the multiplayer game types.

I disagree, i got so much replay value out of the game by purchasing the DLC. It made me go back and 100% the original game which took many hours to do. I agree that the DLC is short and easy but it was also fun. You also unlock new multiplayer characters, maps and sessions.

In my opinion, it was definately worth the 800msp.

anybody who pays full price for DLC is an idiot - it will go on sell eventually. Also i can buy a full retail game for $10 - why would i pay $10 for less than 10% of what i'm gonna get in a retail game???

Which full retail game would this be? For a $60 game to be discounted down to $10, it's gotta be pretty damn old. Or do you not quite understand what a "full retail game" is?
