It’s up to you to take on an enemy unlike any ever encountered before. Battle: Los Angeles is a First Person Shooter game based off the movie Battle: Lost Angeles! You are accompanied by fellow soldiers as you shoot your way through the streets to stop the invasion. This game has an easy 12 achievements worth 200http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif! You will have to play through the game 3 times since the difficulty achievements don't stack. Get ready to jump into the shoes of a soldier who puts his life on the line to defend Earth! Step 1: Easy Playthrough On your first playthrough you will either want to start on Easy. Since you have to play through the game 3 times anyways, it will be best to start at the lowest difficulty to get use to the game. On your first playthrough here, you will be getting all the side achievements which are relatively easy and will probably come just through natural progression. These achievements -in order- are: Long Range, Hummer, and Rocketman. The campaign should take less than an hour to complete, and all the other achievements are either story related, or difficulty related with the exception of: One Hundo, and See Your Video. See Your Video requires you to watch a video in the unlockable section which can only be done after completing the game on any difficulty. One Hundo requires you to complete each difficulty once which unlocks all the unlockables. After you beat the game the first time, make sure you get the achievement: See Your Video. Step 2: Normal Playthrough Now it is time for you to beat the game on Normal. You will be going for the achievement Color Me Impressed (complete a mission without dying, failing or restarting a checkpoint on normal),and Staff Sergeant (complete campaign on Normal). You have 3 missions to try to get Color Me Impressed. Each mission is pretty easy and doesn't require much strategy. For tips refer to the achievement guide or below to Step 3. Step 3: Hard Playthrough This will be your last playthrough. You will be more familiar with the game and the spawns of the enemies. You will want to take your time with this playthrough by staying back and using cover a lot. If you complete the game on Easy and Normal first you will unlock "Mods" found in the Main Menu. You can use them to make the game easier and the achievements will still unlock. Once you complete this playthrough you will unlock: One Hundo, and Sergeant Major. Here are some tips for hard. Tips Do NOT rush towards the enemies. Stay far back and behind cover. Use crouch to stay low behind cover and pop out when you are not injured to shoot enemies. Avoid hiding behind cars because they can blow up. If you need to hide behind a car, make sure it is not on fire. Try to go for head shots or torso shots When you are injured, hide behind cover until you are fully healed. To be on the safe side, hide behind cover BEFORE your screen goes black and white with red around the screen. This means that you are near death. When fighting the Alien Air Units with the Rocket Launcher, there is a good strategy to kill them faster. Right as they start charging their shot, shoot your rocket launcher at them. Reload and shoot again quickly as possible. You can sometimes get 2 shots off before waiting for them to charge again which makes the process go by twice as fast You can make the game even easier by turning Aim Assist "On". Go to Help & Options, then Settings, then Game Settings to turn on Aim Assist. Make sure you click http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/a.png to accept. This will make sniping much easier too. An effective way to cover Nants when ever you need to. Conclusion: This game is a relatively easy 200:gsicon:. It will require little effort, but a bit of patience since you will have to complete the game 3 times. Overall the game is okay but could have been a lot better if they worked on the gameplay and added a multiplayer. Within 4 hours of gaming you will have the 200:gsicon:! Just stay behind cover for most of the level and use your Assault Rifle or Sniper Rifle. Try to avoid hiding behind cars because they can blow up. Kill them and 2 more enemies will appear on the roof. Kill them then pull out your rocket launcher and sprint down the alley. 2 Aliens will come out beside each other. Shoot the rocket right in between them to kill them both. If you didn't kill both of them, click restart checkpoint because you will restart right beside that area. Venomized
Hey nice guide but I make guide first and you should help me get road map instead of you make smiliar guide. Why you do it? Making a guide first doesn't mean anything. Anyone can make a guide and there can be an unlimited amount of guides. If you look at my signature you can tell I have done a few guides already. I like writing guides. I just wanted to make my own guide that's all. Nothing personal. I prefer doing work for myself, instead of doing work for someone else. Our guides may be similar as in the fact that it both has to do with a game that has easy gamerscore, but at the same time they are quite different. After playing the game, I am sure the movie will seem pretty awesome since the game kind of suck. At least in my opinion it did. You welcome of course I haven't seen movie yet but I heard movie is good by some film reviews so yes I agree game so suck and seem developer with Konami rush this game into XBLA for release smiliar time for movie. I wish this game better for retail with more long gameplay, more number of achievements to earn and more time. One thing I like say aliens look so funny face I shoot their heads lots and easy kills them lmao:uzi:

HalfEVILmonkey
One other quick tip for the "Long Range" achievement is that after you get the sniper rifle and get back to street level, there is an ammo box with more sniper ammo in it. I kept killing the aliens and then running back to this ammo box until I finally got the achievement to pop. The ammo box never runs out.
luuwat
don't really need a guide for this,. but im glad there is one, alot of people would have troubles with the rocket one, had to get the info from somewhere and it was spot on.
Venomized
Seem's like a mistake Thank you sir! Missed that. Use to writing full retail game guides don't really need a guide for this,. but im glad there is one, alot of people would have troubles with the rocket one, had to get the info from somewhere and it was spot on. Yeah the achievements are really easy. So writing the guide was just as easy =p But every game still needs an achievement guide
Toastngravy
I'm actually rather convinced that the rocket achievement is broken, at least for myself. I've gotten it a few times on that point but it hasn't unlocked. I'll have to try it out later, but from what I gather it may be due to me just choosing the checkpoint before that (before you go up the walkway to fight the ship) through the menu. If that's the case, well, that's silly. So I'm not sure if it's the fact I didn't play the entire chapter out or not, but something's messing with it. Funny thing is, the achievement glitch aside, this is still the hardest achievement in the game. Only died once on hard without looking at a guide. IAmTheDude360
Just to say that the unlockable mods don't stop achievements unlocking either. Just completed easy with the physics mod enabled and it still popped. If you do easy first you unlock Hollywood mod (big heads) which makes hard even more of a breeze

Toastngravy
After testing it, yes it appears that was the issue. This game is odd. Apparently, upon attempting to obtain the rocket achievement (probably the same issue with other ones...but...that's really the only achievement that you could possibly miss) while loading a checkpoint through the menu (be it the start of the chapter or the closest checkpoint) you're unable to obtain the achievement. If you start a new game, you can obtain it. So that means don't be like me and try a few times, keep missing, then give up. Do it while you're there. Will save you a play through of this mediocre game. This very pretty mediocre game.
DeafSunchaser
the rocket achievement was easy on the very last part of the game when ur on a turret there is 2 on the upper floor one on each side of the wall shoot the middle wall and chevo pops every time even a few of my mates have done it this way! Lucifer Adams
Thanks for the great guide & roadmap. Man, that was a fun 2 hours. Good little game.
TriRock
It looks like loading a checkpoint denies you many (if not all) achievements. I went for a ciggarette after Act II and upon returning checked the achievement list to realise I missed 'Rocketman'. So, I reloaded the checkpoint, and after enough tries and reading this thread realised I couldn't get it. So, I re-loaded the first checkpoint from Act III, played through it without unlocking any achievements. Had to start the a new campaign to get 'Dropping Bombs' and 'Private'. So, summa summarum, don't use the 'Load Checkpoint' from the Main Menu if you want achievements. Otherwise, a very good roadmap / guide. Cheers.
