gealt
Go to the bioware social site, set up an account, link it with your gamertag, sign into xbox live, finish the demo, start up DA2 and it should be listed in your unlockables...

KrossWinter
From the game menu, you can link the game to your bioware account. From there, everytime you log on it will read what you've done and will link the reward to your game. From there, it will all appear in a chest at your house. Tom Pladgett
Then again, it's hardly an essential item. Sure, it's absolutely the best two-hander available for the early game, but becomes obsolete around the jaunt to the Deep Roads. And you can sell it for a princely 1 copper. I used it deep into act 3, until I got the sword from the Arcane Tomes quest. Stick a decent Rune in it and it cuts through enemies, even though it stats dont look great later on
