View Full Version : Hole in One on #4 at Augusta

I just made this I will post it to the EA Sports Gamernet Challenges under single hole challenges. I am unsure if it counts like that but it is worth a try. I used Zach Johnson his distances are perfect for this shot.

Hope it works let me know.

Also, under single hole challenges search for Augusta hole #4. My gamertag is MunchTheWaffle

Just an FYI, I just busted that gamernet challenge and did not get the achievement, so it looks like our hopes of acquiring it through gamernet are dashed.

Congrats on you getting the ace though.

Aw man I was hoping that would help you guys out oh well If you set it up the same as I did it saves everytime and you only need to custom select one hole and then exit out and go back in if you miss. It only takes about 20 seconds to do all of that. I prob tried 20 times or so

yeah.. it has to be local only....

Still could be useful though in terms of club selection, where to try and land the ball, etc etc. Congrats on the ace. Has to be better than putting that green.

Thanks. If nothing else you can try using the strategy I did to get the hole in one. It will in all likelihood take maybe an hour or so of trying.

I guess you are one of the lucky ones. It doesn't seem to work for anyone else but I am glad to know it helped at least one person out.

Hey just got it on my 3rd try. Might be luck but this what I did.

On Amatuer I chose quick play, members tee, sunday hole location, slow course conditions, selected Anthony Kim for all 4 players. Seven iron at 94% with a few taps of spin at 1:00.

Hope it helps.

I just tried it on quick play and got it eventually, but I was using mulligans. Thought it would save time from having to load, etc. but I guess mulligans disable the achievo. Can anyone confirm?

I also used amateur/members/Sunday because the Sunday location is flatter and more straight on. (I tried both Thursday and Friday locations a lot with no joy.) I also used tournament conditions and the extra roll is what finally made it as the ball went in from above the hole. Definitely not my third try but it was under 30!

BTW: I'm a 3-clicker but I don't think that alters this shot ...

I've read that in a few different places. A good strategy I've read about and used, is to do a local play using 4 golfers so you can take a swing with each of the four. If none of your four shots goes in, then just restart the custom hole 4 session again.

Took me about 10 minutes of trying doing it this way (got the tip from a friend who had the full 1000G) :

Quickplay - select hole 4 only at Augusta - sunny weather - calm wind - memberts tee - Friday flagstick location - course conditons Slow - mulligans OFF (i can confirm that using mulligans will not get you the achievement).

Select 4 Anthony Kim players
Aim a touch to the right (basically trial & error how much as light wind can still make a small difference)
Shot power at 97-99% with maximum top spin.
The ball will dash up the bank towards the hole and 95% of the time if the ball hits the bottom of the flag stick it will drop in.

If you fail to get an ace on any of your 4 attempts then simply quit out and reload (course options will be saved). Just to make sure this was not a complete fluke by me and my friend, i tried the same method again and aced the hole yet again just 5 minutes later :woop:

3rd time through trying #15 it worked for me. Much more consistent for me than the other methods described here. Thanks!
