I finished my first season ranked #5, no dlc,no masters, plus skipped one of the 2 star tourneys. Just won the masters and everything leading up to it in my 2nd season (no dlc) and have only gone to #4. Just curious...

I got to number one during the last tournament of my 1st season. I won every tournament my first year and the only events I skipped were DLC.

Well, I'm pretty sure that you have to beat Tiger head to head in the FedEx Cup Championship (last tournament of the year, aside from the fantasy open) to actually get to #1. It's doable in the first season. If you win every event that's available to you before the Masters, you should be around 75-85. If not, just beat (you don't have to master them) all of the Masters Moments to get an exemption into the Masters. Winning that will give you a serious rank boost, as will any major.

I did it at the very end of season 1, but you may have to wait until the end of season 2 which may put "Broken Record" out of reach for your current golfer.

Rankings are not SOLELY dependant on wins...
All stats (fir, gir, drive accuracy/distance, sand saves, bounce backs, scambling%...etc) count.

You would get better ranking losing evey week by 1 and hitting all fir/gir driving 300+, than winning by 5 and missing every fir/gir, and driving the ball 220 and 1 putting....

Play the ball from fairway to green one putt when you can and you'll jump in rankings...
Always try for 18/18 Gir, 14 (or more) fir, and low putts.
Currently into year 5 and missed 2 fir and 3 greens.. average 54.1 and 1.2 Putts per round. I can literallty skp about 6 consecutive tourneys before I have to play again (waiting to have all sponsors maxed and skip to 7th green jacket... then I'm done.

I got to No1 after beating Tiger in the head to head in the FedEx cup - even though he cheated (nothing new there). I had it set to 2 rounds. He finished the first round on -2 and then started the 2nd on -24.

I got to #1 after winning the tournament just before the Fedex Cup. I won every tournament up to that point apart from the DLC ones I had to skip.

I've only skipped the DLC, and I just won the masters for the first time (season 2) and I am still #2. :-(

How can tiger come up 2 spots and surpass me in one match when I won the darn thing? Don't tell me about the FIR and GIR because I hit everyone of them and even had a bogey free round finishing -11??????

If it helps anyone, I reached #1 at the Tour Championship ( the final FedEx Cup ) tourney and got my Broken Record trophy at the Hawaiian Championship during the 2018 season. Then I skipped straight to the Masters for my 7th victory there.
