The past weeks/months there have been a lot of players creating threads and asking questions which have been answered many times before. After seeing multiple more this week, I decided to put up a guide to finding answers.

Table of Content
I - Three Steps to Finding Anwers
II - All Information Threads

I - Three Steps to Finding Answers
These steps are all very simple and it doesn't take much time to complete them at all.
Step 1 - Search Existing Threads
There already are multiple threads containing most, if not all, answers on questions. The thread you'll need to check depends on the type of question you have.

General Questions
For general questions about ingame-issues you'll want to check the Question Thread HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=289237)

Achievement Information
For the most common achievement-related questions you can check either the Question Thread (link is above) or the Achievement Guide HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=270067)

Collectibles Questions
For questions about collectibles, you can check the Question Thread or Achievement Guide (both links above), or the collectibles guide HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=271435)

Legendary Weapons Questions
These are the most common questions and answers can be found in pretty much every sticky thread. The Question Thread, Achievement Guide and Legendary Weapons thread (Legendary Weapons Thread HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=260032)) are the best to check

Step 2 - Use the ''Search'' function
If none of the stickies contain the information you need, use the ''Search'' button.
http://i52.tinypic.com/30ljeb5.jpg

As shown on the image, the search button is just underneath the page numbers bar, next to the ''Forum Tools'' function. Simply click on it and type the words you want to search for. The amount of threads found related to the words you typed depends on what you search for.
For example, if you type ''legendary weapons'' you will get more results than if you type ''flowers''

Step 3 - Place a Post
If neither the stickies nor the search button were able to help you out (which is highly unlikely), don't think of the ''New Thread'' button. Go to the last page of either the Question Thread, Achievement Guide, Legendary Weapons thread or Achievement Discussion (I think you can figure out yourself which one you need based on your question) and post your question. The forums are quite active, so someone out there should be able to notice your question and anser it fr you.

II - All Information Threads

LINK (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=289237) - Question Thread

LINK (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=176178) - Achievement Discussion

Actually, NEVER think of the ''New Thread'' button. The Question Thread was made for questions so if you can't find the info you seek, just post a reply there. It will save you from a lot of flaming and will prevent the useful threads to disappear from the 1st page.

Something like that should pop when New Thread button is pressed and the member has less than a minimum of post or time registered :)

I doubt new members even read threads. My sig is step 2.

Anyway, I'm gonna request a sticky for this

Denied.

EDIT:
Replaced the Search button picture by one which has a red oval 'round the button.

Anyway, I'm gonna request a sticky for this

OK, I just gotta ask:
Who rated my thread 5 stars?
That's my 2nd best friend for life

I'm not trying to reach new members only. I'm trying to reduce the amount of unneccesary threads on forums.
If you think it won't make much difference (that's how I understand your words), that's what you think. I think this thread will make a difference, even if it is little. Otherwise I wouldn't have made it.

And I think it's a bit too early to deny a sticky I haven't even requested yet, since none of us have seen if this thread actually works.

Why would you want to reduce the amount of threads? Look at what forum you are on. This forum is designed for queries where people are bound to ask questions.

Are you really asking this? Check the rules on the forum about repeated threads.

There's quite a difference between ''threads'' and ''unneccesary threads''

Fair enough I retract my comment the fable 3 forum is rather cluttered but you know all I will say is if it bothers you that much...go tell a moderator, its not any different anywhere else at 360a.

Don't get me wrong here; I like the idea and the layout, perhaps format it so it can be used across the whole website? I believe it has potential.

EDIT: I'll keep quiet now before this thread get unnecessarily cluttered too. :)

That's an idea, but it's too early to mention it. This thread is young and we haven't seen what it can do yet.

At this moment, it would be useless to inform the staff about your suggestion šause there isn't enough proof threads like these actually help. That, and I think the thread will need quite some support from the forum users before likewise-threads are spread all over.
