Or is it just as crappy as the stock controllers? Need new controller and I'm trying to figure out what to buy. Either a play and charge kit (is it any good?) for my only controller out of 4 that doesn't have a problem. That new d-pad controller. Or a new wired one (but 2 have crapped out on me by constantly disconnecting due to improperly connected wires:mad:).

Yeah it's a pretty neat improvement. Instead of buying a regular controller, the one with the adjustable d pad would be a better option. My friend has one and i use it when i can, i personally don't like them as the coloured buttons are either grey or white.

The new d-pad is still crap. This my friend is where it's at: 4 seperate pieces for the d-pad:

I would go for a wired one, personally. My gf bought one because the second controller I had was a used wireless and on it's last legs. Now I use the wired one almost exclusively because the response seems just slightly better and it's usually cheaper than a wireless. In addition, you never have to worry about charging it!

The silver w/ adjustable d-pad comes with the play and charge kit. Otherwise it is the same price as the controllers with the play and charge kit. I don't use my d-pad all that much so I couldn't comment on how well it works.
