First sorry but it won't let me search for this topic. Says error.

I turned my xbox on this eve after it had been off for about 5 hours and I had a message saying about overheating etc.

Twenty mins later my xbox turned off. Is it on it's way out?

Unfortunately, it probably is. I got error msgs, and even two RROD on my original box before it crapped out for good. I got those after only around 30-40 minutes of use, so it wasn't like the 360 had been on for hours.

Thanks :) Not the best news though lol

Shame I can't fix it or anything. it's way out of warranty!

Get some compressed air and blow in side the vents.
But if you want to do it a bit more safely open up the Xbox and clean all the Dust. if it still says this take off the CPU heatsink and clean the thermal grease, and then reapply. Clean the heat sink aswell from dust.
Thermal Grease: Also if you can watch the video for the product.

Just trying blowing the dust out of it that might buy it a little more time, however it still maybe close to its end still.

At least it says that it is overheating now.
