10 or 50 kills
100 kills
250 kills
500 kills
750 kills
1000 kills
1500 kills
2000 kills

of course not for much but still be cool. but if they havethis that means or should mean they have a stat tracker witch would kickass so i hope they do.

Achievements for this game will probably be easy.

If I had to pick the achievements I would make them a little harder.

Story mode complete
10,000 or maybe 20,000 overall kills
(Names) People saved
Secret weapons found
Pictures taken (I recall pictures being taken in the game trailer)

heres some :

Killed Zombie with custard pie
Killed zombie with cuddley bear
Killed zombie with inflatable cactus

each one of them awards kicking out 200 points would be a fair deal
(i got the names of some weapons from official xbox magazine)

scoobydiesel
04-13-2006, 05:15 AM
No i dont want 200 points form that...if we do so many kills i only want a few points for it like 25-50 per achievement and give us like 50 achievements worth 1000.

After re watching the video i want to to be a "get 100 kills with a lightsaber" lol thatd be badass, well im nto sure if it really is a lightsaber, but if it is, thatd be sweet

I would like to see around 50 Achievements as well.
I read there's going to multiple ways to complete the story.
So probably one for each ending.
I would also think there would be something like:
Kill *Insert Boss Name Here*

So if there's a couple bosses those would be achievements.
I personally would like to see combo kills like:
Kill 5 zombies in 5 seconds.
Kill 3 zombies in one swing.

invincible rob
04-16-2006, 07:36 PM
well 50's ok if its distributed like this
15 awards - doing the proper storyline
20 awards - additionals, saving certain people, collecting certain weapons etc
10 awards - killing zombies with certain weapons, kill a number of zombies, combos etc
5 awards - doing the game on a harder setting or 100%ing the game (saving everyone, killing every zombie, had every weapon, got best photos)

scoobydiesel
04-16-2006, 10:03 PM
yeah that sopudns very good, i forgot about the multi ending.

But boss...i dunno how ill like bosses in this game...i seen soem chick with a gun so you know she;; become a zombie....

or they pull a Dawn of the dead(78) and have bikers or a day of the dead with the army

Are you kiddding? And you're saying 1,000 games played of every gametype known to man isn't time consuming?

Killing and endless flow of Zombies is MUCH more fun then wasting my time trying to find a second controller location in a Dark Ops game.

ZEUS has proven this true MANY times over with Nicaraguians.

it would be cool if they had like 100 kills under a minute and even some on the supposed co op multiplay they might have.

1,000,000 kills
unlocked all alternate endings
became zombie

i can dream cant i ?

Whitecat

I bet there will be an achievement for every different ending. Multiple ones for kills, probably for overall, and in a single game/story. There might be vengence and mercy ones (for all those random non-zombie shmucks). Theres probably a use every weapon. And there might be some for thoses bosses (like the tank, crazy guy with the shopping cart from hell ect.) I espically think there will for the bosses seeing as how you technally dont have to fight them. I would be too surprised if there was a kill no zombie achievement (How F****** hard would tht be?)

Fonkey Monkey
06-30-2006, 09:07 AM
1 million kills.
never die.
unlocked all upgrades.
collected every weapon(that would be hella hard.)
if there is less than 30 achievements that would be pretty gay:mad:.

This guy has the game early, I randomly found him on the gamerscore leaderboards, a few of the achievements are a bit extreme, like kill 53,594 zombies. These look pretty legit, I don't know how they could be fake, it just seems a bit strange that not even mygamercard.net has a leaderboard for Dead Rising yet. Someone can copy these onto the site so we can have them under retail games.

EDIT: 50 Achievements total, each one is worth 20 points each, very balanced system.

Well, I'd say that there probably would be an infinite (or something close to that) number of zombies, for the fact that while, yes the 53k zombies number matches with the town's population, but remember that there were survivors too, so not every member of the town is a zombie, hence the zombie number has to be less than the population number.

Taking that into consideration, the number's probably just symbolic, not representative of you having scoured every area searching for that last zombie.

I also like the list in general...it's really broad, covers a lot of bases, and doesn't have any super-achievements that give you too many points. You have to work for what you get. That said, the fact that everything in 20 points does kinda kill some of the sense of accomplishment. Even taking some achievments and doing a 10 and 30 split would be much better.

I personally dont care what the achievements are.. If they are HARD then it makes the game that much better.. Due to the fact that I tend to stop playing MOST games after I get 1000 GP from them..LoL...

I think its a SMART move to make achievements more difficult because it makes gamers want to play that specific game MORE..

if a good game's achievements are easy people will see no point in playing it anymore because they just want the points, that's why i'm happy to see a lot of hard to get achievements to make you play games you like more and have fun.

Where it says 1 REQ Play: That means you can only get the achievement through 1 playthrough, it's not like you kill 300 zombies in one playthrough, and it saves. You have to get those many kills in ONE playthrough. Of course you can re-play story mode to try to get them all again , but still thats hard

For example: Zombie Genocider: Kill 53,594 zombies. That's NUTZ! You have to do this in ONE playthrough, there are rumors saying that's how many zombies are in the entire mall/outdoors.

That one seems hard

Total REQ means: During your whole entire game, like you can do multiple playthroughs and your progress will be saved.

Example: Gourmet, if you eat say a pie; it will be saved, and you wont have to eat it again. So everything you eat gets saved, you can play it multiple times and get which ones you need.

Besides that some of those achievements look easy

Example: Score 1,500 pp points. Well, in a video when your on the helicopter ( FIRST LEVEL ) you have your camera and taking pictures, there is a scripted event where a gas station explodes, take a picture while it's exploding and voila! at least a good 1,500 points right there

Those mysterious snuff shots eh?

Snuff Shot J: It has a picture of a girl named " Jessie ". Do you think that " J " something to do with that achievement?

Snuff Shot B: Same deal, his name is Bill i belive?

Woach!

These are going to be fun/hard/fustrating achievements.

And why would smash 200 items be total req and kill 53000 zombies be play req. Killing that amount of zombies in what 6 hours would be impossible youd have to kill about 130 a minuate.

LOL.

Im thinking of getting this game, wasnt really going to depend on easy achievements or not, but those do sound "hefty"! 50000 zombie kills is nothing to shake a stick at. Even if you could kill one every second constantly its like around 15 hours non stop (hope I worked that out correctly) so the chances of this being a quick 1000 is highly remote :)

Dare say theres going to be a weapon related one amungst them, pick up every weapon, or kill a zombie with every type of weapon or something. In fact, I can see this one being a fiendish 1000.

the 1 play achievements just got a little bit easier.

It's been less than a month since we got our hands on a timed playable demo of Dead Rising, and not a day has gone by without us wondering when we might have an opportunity to play a more complete version of the game. We were more than a little excited, then, when Capcom sent us a near-finished copy of the game recently and gave us permission to report on our first 24 hours spent inside the sizable Willamette Parkview Mall. We won't be going into any detail about Dead Rising's storyline for fear of spoiling it for you, but after spending an entire in-game day in the shoes of zombie-killing photojournalist Frank West, we've certainly got no shortage of new things to talk about.

The first thing we need to share with you is that Dead Rising has recently undergone something of a redesign. It was previously stated that when playing the game's 72-hour mode--in which you essentially have to survive for three days while waiting for a helicopter--you'd be able to spend your time doing whatever you like, even if that meant locking yourself in a closet for the entire time. This is no longer the case because the missions that drive the story forward are now mandatory, and although it's possible to keep playing even if you fail some of them, completing them successfully is often the only way to gain access to new areas of the mall. You'll still have plenty of freedom to explore and to pick and choose which scoop missions you undertake, but now you'll be required to check in with and assist key characters from time to time.

After opting to play with the tutorial windows--which pop up the first time you encounter a new situation--turned on, one of the first things we noticed was that when taking photographs, they get sorted into more genres than we previously knew about. The majority of the photos that we've taken in previous versions of Dead Rising have fallen either into the horror or drama categories simply because they featured zombies and survivors, respectively. We now know that photos can also be classified as erotica or outtakes, and although we've yet to get a picture of anything that even vaguely resembles erotica, we've found that zombies pushing shopping carts (which haven't appeared in any of our previous versions of the game) or wearing novelty masks invariably make for good outtake shots.

Shopping carts are one of many items that we've found for the first time in our 95 percent-complete build of Dead Rising, and like the parasols that Frank can use like a snowplow to clear a path through zombie crowds, they're very effective when you need to get from A to B but do very little for your zombie kill count. Lawnmowers, on the other hand, make a real mess of the undead when you run through them, but it doesn't take long for the blades to break, and so like many of the more powerful weapons in the game, they're only useful for a short time. Other improvised weapons that we've been experimenting with lately include nail guns (reasonably effective), bowling balls (lots of fun), golf clubs and balls (difficult to aim), chainsaws (say no more), excavator drills (almost as much fun as the chainsaws), swords (good for slicing zombies in two), and an unusual insect in a jar that can be thrown as a one-time use zombie smart bomb. We also found a skateboard to ride around on, which enabled us to move around the mall much more quickly and, for the most part, more safely. We were initially a little disappointed to find that we couldn't perform any tricks on our new ride, but that was before we found a book on the subject inside a store.

Every book that you find in Dead Rising has a different effect on Frank's abilities for as long as he's carrying it. The most common books appear to be those that give Frank extra health or power, but some of them have far more interesting properties. When carrying a book about skateboarding, for example, we were able to perform tricks on the aforementioned board. And when attempting to rescue two Japanese tourists who were hiding inside a store, the only way that we could communicate with them was to find a book that gave Frank a rudimentary understanding of the Japanese language. Early on in the game, carrying books around can be difficult simply because you're not able to hold more than four or five items, but as you progress through the game and Frank's skills (and those of some enemies) improve, we suspect they'll be invaluable.

Twenty-four hours into Dead Rising, the vast majority of the enemies that we've faced have been undead--they're slow and clumsy by day and only slightly less slow and clumsy by night. We've had some memorable run-ins with nonzombies, though, and they've invariably got the better of us at least once before we've either figured out how to defeat them or loaded a save game and avoided the encounters completely. To go into too much detail about these psychopaths would be to risk spoiling your own dealings with them, but among those that you might already have seen in official screenshots from Capcom are a chainsaw-juggling clown, a survivor who doesn't want to share any of the supplies from the hunting store that he's holed up in, and three escaped prisoners who are riding around in a Humvee and shooting at anything that moves. Most of the prisoners' targets are zombies, of course, but we learned the hard way that they're more than happy to shoot at survivors when we crossed their path with the aforementioned Japanese tourists in tow.

If you choose to spend a lot of your time in the mall completing scoop missions, then having survivors following you around is something you'll become very accustomed to. Scoop missions are generally offered to you over your walkie-talkie by a character who has an uncanny knack for being able to locate survivors and pinpoint their positions for you. The walkie-talkie system can be annoying, because Frank isn't able to use any weapons when he's holding it. We're hoping that later in the game you might gain access to some kind of hands-free technology, though the messages would still interrupt the gameplay to some extent because--at least in our current build of the game--none of them are voiced, so you have to read text that appears along the bottom of the screen. When you locate survivors, convincing them to follow you generally requires you to do little more than speak with them, and once they're in tow, you can tell them either to stick with you or to move to a specific location. They're well behaved for the most part, but they'll become embroiled in fights with zombies occasionally, so you'll need to keep an eye on them. It's also worth noting that if survivors aren't standing close enough to you when you move through a door or any other area that requires a brief loading screen, they'll get left behind.

What's clear to us at this point is that, regardless that the story missions are now mandatory, Dead Rising is a game that promises to have plenty of replay value. Our experiences with the game thus far have never been the same twice, and regardless of whether you're in the middle of a mission or not, you still have the freedom to just play around and have fun with zombies if you prefer. We've thoroughly enjoyed our time with Dead Rising, and we look forward to bringing you a full review closer to the game's release.

so basically to complete the game you have to do all the main missions that it mentions in the demo. so like you could stay in the first bit of the mall and kill 53,000 or wotever it is and then go on to doing the main missions to complete the game ? if this is what they mean thne sweet!

08-06-2006, 06:43 PM
Actualy that just made it harder..To complete the game you must meet the time and have finishd the main story missions by then.
Also there are rumors of a timeless version of the main story that unlocks once you beat the game, which should make the kill count less of a pain.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to get the Strike! achievement. Do I have to hit ten zombies with one ball? What has to be to done?

Also, anyone know where I can find "novelty" masks?

I think this thread should be used for people to give out tips on certain achievements =)

where you exit the warehouse. Continue to your right and you will see a toy store on the left side. It's right around where the movie threater is at.

You only get about 6 masks but just kill a zombie and put it on another one. Continue that until you get it.

The survive for 72 hours achievement... does anyone know how that one works? Do you get it automatically after you finish the story mode for the first time, even if you died.

when you go outside (for the second time) there is an umbrella thing that you can pick up from the tables. All you do is hold it down and charge into the zombies. I screwed up in my game and i guess a guy died that shouldnt have, so i am restarting all over again! Yet I am level 5 when i do so it is kind of cool to be a higher level.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION.

Ok, so I figured I'd start an Achievement guide thread. I don't know how long its going to take for me to 100% this game, but I though I'd share what I have done already and how to get it.

Photojournalist
-TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Score at least 1,500 PP from a single photo. - 20G

This is pretty simple if there are dozens of dead zombies on the floor. You can get this in the beginning of the game when you are in the entrance plaza and Lindsey opens the door to get her dog and the zombies swarm the room.

The Artiste
-TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Score at least 3,000 PP from a single photo. - 20G

This one is alot tougher then the first, but can be done very easily early in the game. You can nail this achievement and the Photojournalist one in just one picture. After Otis opens gives you the Transciver and Map, go into the ducts. Once on the roof you, walk forward about 20 ft and you will be infront of the Warehouse. On the left side of the building you will find Mary. Get her to follow you and then go to the other side of the warehouse and you will find Jeff. Once they see each other they will run towards eachother and hug, take a picture when they hug for 10,000 PP. Not only will you get the 2 achievements, but you will level up as well.

Freefall
-TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Drop from a height of at least 16 feet (5 meters). - 20G

This one pretty much speaks for itself. I jumped over the railing on the 2nd floor of the mall and got it, and don't worry your guy will barely lose 1 block of health.

Group Photo
TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Get 50 Target Markers with the camera. - 20G

Kill a ton of zombies in one area, and take a picture, or take a picture of the mass amounts of zombies in the beginning of the game at the mall entrance.

Raining Zombies
TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Knock at least 30 zombies aside with a parasol.

If you do the first story mode you receive, and go to Brad, defeat Carlito (still said 20,000 PP for defeating pschopath so not sure how that works if it does not count first try) and then continue following Brad into next mall section, there will be a parasol (table umbrella).

Just pick it up, press X, and you will just begin running with it in front of you. Head for the doorway where there are like 50 zombies+, and you will receive the achievement within seconds.

PP Collector
TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Photograph all PP Stickers

Just though I would start helping identify where you find PP stickers.

1.) Couple on rooftop - take a picture of them hugging. (previously stated in another thread)
2.) Rooftop Vent shaft - take a picture of it up close.
3.) Kent the camera guy - take a picture of him dropkicking a zombie (this one is earned by finding Kent in the mall in the beginning and completing a 500 pp photo challenge will let him runoff after zombies for photo ops).
4.) The fat guy in Jill's Sandwich shop that you have to rescue, after you feed him, it will pop up.
5.) On a mission I believe called The Lovers or something like that. It's in Wonderland Plaza on the second floor in a sports shop. The guy is injured and asks you for a gun while you take his girlfriend out. If you give him one, he commits suicide and there is a PP sticker. You have to get your camera out REALLY quick to not miss it.
6.) The hatchet guy you fight in the supply store when he goes into one of those little trap doors.
7.) The psycho in Wonderland with the molotov cocktail. After you defeat him, he'll accidentally set himself on fire and there will be another PP sticker. Plus if you put the fire out I think you can get him as a survivor.
8.) The two people hanging off the big inflated bear in Wonderland. Just snap them before they come down.

------If you guys find other ways, or how to get other achievements post it up and I'll edit this post.

I thought it would be a good idea to post the method that worked best for you killing psychopaths. Some of them are pretty tricky and I know I wouldnt mind the extra help.

Machete Guy (Cliff):
I brought an SMG and would stand on top of the shelves and just shoot him as he ran to his holes and as he was standing on the shelves. After I wore him down some and ran out of bullets I went in close with a katana and was able to beat him. Dont forget to take pictures as he jumps into his holes for lots of PP points. Also watch out for his flares and grenades.

Convicts in the park (Not considered psychopaths):
Many people have mentioned taking guns such as an SMG and some pistols, or a sniper rifle from the gun shop, and shooting them. Killing the gunner first seems to help and make sure to kill all 3. Someone had mentioned jumping on top of the roof a picnic area and shooting them from there as they run into the structure helps. If you want to get rid of them for good make sure to blow up the vehicle or else they will return after you leave. The sniper rifle is in the gun shop which is in the north side of the mall.

The Clown (Adam):
When the clown blows a balloon shoot it and he will start coughing. Once he is coughing either shoot him from a distance or go in close with a katana or your choice of close combat weapon.

Guy in the Gunshop (Cletus):
Bring a gun or two with you (handgun from cop or SMG). As soon as the cut scene is over leave the shop and stand outside. Kill any zombies around you so you dont have to worry about them. Stand outside the shop from a comfortable distance and just take shots at him as he walks back and forth. Every once in a while he'll shoot a few out the door but stay behind the door or wall and you should be ok. If you need more bullets or youre running low on health there should be cops (carrying handguns) around as well as jugs of milk around.

Cult leader in the theater (Sean):
Go to the sword shop and fill up on katanas (you can get one from food court if you just want one) and after the cutscene happens run outside and stand half way between the doors and movies. Let him come and swing, swipe at him run outside, repeat.. If you need health go to the other theaters and stock up on food. It takes awhile to get this but it was the safest/easiest way.

Overtime Boss (Brock):
The trick with this fight is keeping your distance until you need to attack. This will reduce your chances of getting grabbed. Two moves seem to work well against him, the jump kick, and the double lariat. Attack and then retreat, try not to give him a chance to get the upper hand. If you get knocked off try to Zombie Ride as soon as possible. Then make your way back to the tank.

You have to kill the convicts to jack the truck. I killed the guy on back first and after he's gone it's pretty easy. Unfortunately though when you cap the driver, the guy next to him moves over and takes the whell so I think you have to kill them all.

graf1k

Yeah, I think you have to use the car to get it. I've got about 22 hours left and only about 3,000 kills because when I killed the convicts I barely had any time to make it to my next mission so I didn't use the car except to get in it for the hijack achievement and ever since then I just avoid them when going outside.

And as far as removing your mask. you either have to go to the store that you put it on in and Remove it.. OR what I ended up having to do (because I was STUCK in the LEGO head forever...LoL) is go to the Beauty shop in the Upstairs part of the Enterance Plaza.. I think the store # is E209 or E210.. Somthing like that..Just go to one of the shelfs and you can DYE your HAIR.. When you do this your mask is REMOVED.

Yea I thought that you had to get captured by the guys in yellow then defeat them all in that little room. Well thats not the case, defeating them just gets you out of the room. You actually have to go to the theater. Also once you beat him you have to get rid of some more yellow raincoat guys but once you do there are like 5 people in there that you can easily escort back to the security room. Theres even a book in the middle of the room that makes escorting a million times easier because they arent afraid to follow you. Not to mention bringing in 5 people makes your level jump dramatically.

yea for the guy with the bat you have to beat him senseless, i perfer something big like the shelf or plywood blocking the entrance, but dont hit him too much or he with defect and attack you until he is dead and the other guy will be very reluctant to follow you because you killed his friend.

A few hits with something big will easily get him to stop, it isnt because of the mask, its becuse he doesnt want more people harassing him, you learn that from the text.....that is if you can read it

I will probably have this confirmed tomorrow but what you can do is escort all the ladies to the roof. Then use RT + Y so they will stay. Accumulate 8 woman and then take them through the vent.

1. Couple on rooftop - take a picture of them hugging. (previously stated in another thread)
2. Rooftop Vent shaft - take a picture of it up close.
3. Kent the camera guy - take a picture of him dropkicking a zombie (this one is earned by finding Kent in the mall in the beginning and completing a 500 pp photo challenge will let him runoff after zombies for photo ops).

That is all I have so far on PP stickers.

***SPOILER***:locked

Oh, some advice on story-mode for Kent - after you take a PP sticker shot of him in action, get a 700 PP shot of him (after the 500 PP shot) doing his thumbs up signature pose and that will advance his storyline. He will then share photos with you and challenge you to take better photos than he has - this is as far as I got but you need exotic photo (find a lacey zombie and snap shot of her breasts up close) a brutality photo and a drama one I believe.

That is about as helpful as I can be so far in this game.:Bounce:

Don't want to post any spoliers because I don't know how far people are but eventually there will be a motorcycle that spawns in front of the supermarket in North Plaza. Get on it and just ride to Wonderlan Plaza.

Also I did the car achievement the way the poster above said. Get a car (faster than the hummer) and start at North Plaza entrance. Drive straight towards the pond and hit the hill right before the pond. It doesn't look like its 33ft but I got the achievement anyway.

The survive for 72 hours achievement... does anyone know how that one works? Do you get it automatically after you finish the story mode for the first time, even if you died.

I got this one at level 7. How you ask? I left my game on all night. I put myself in the water fountain outside, and went to bed. When I woke up, i had beat the game! I also got the 24 hours (outdoorsman) award for being outside, and the survived 72 hours. I didnt see my ending but they told me i had ending E. So this is an easy way to get it, so i assume if you beat the game you get it no matter what

It's not to difficult when you get your stats up. I saved about 21 out of an attempted 25-30 so it's not too bad. Unfortunately I missed one of the storyline cases and so a lot of the rescure missions never came up for some reason. Almost got the escort 8 survivors at once but that fat bitch security guards killed one of the girls after I accidentally dove out of the store.

A couple more PP stickers:

1) The fat guy in Jill's Sandwich shop that you have to rescue, after you feed him, it will pop up.

2) On a mission I believe called The Lovers or something like that. It's in Wonderland Plaza on the second floor in a sports shop. The guy is injured and asks you for a gun while you take his girlfriend out. If you give him one, he commits suicide and there is a PP sticker. You have to get your camera out REALLY quick to not miss it.

3) The hatchet guy you fight in the supply store when he goes into one of those little trap doors.

4) The psycho in Wonderland with the molotov cocktail. After you defeat him, he'll accidentally set himself on fire and there will be another PP sticker. Plus if you put the fire out I think you can get him as a survivor.

5) The two people hanging off the big inflated bear in Wonderland. Just snap them before they come down.

I know I've seen more, but those are just off the top of my head. I think each psycho has a PP sticker at some point during the fight or right after.

Those you get after you beat the game. They haven't 'escaped' fully when they are in the security room.

A couple more achievements I'm wondering about:

The 24 hours indoor/outdoor. Are those 24 hours in a row? Because I finished the game with the A ending and logically I should have at least spent 24 hours outside OR inside in a 72 hour period, unless of course it's in a row.

The 5 & 7 Day survivor. I'm guessing you just load the ending save from your first game and play through again to get the 5 day one and then a third time to get the 7 day? Or are those ones that have to be done in inifinite mode?

Escort 8 at once. Anyone know if you have to actually get them all back to the security room or just be escorting 8 people or 8 women specifically at once? If it's the latter, it would be much easier.

And thanks to Sgt. Hobo for how to get the Hella Copter achievement. I would have never thought of that. I figured it was for an ending where Frank had to pilot his chopper out of there himself or something.

I say hold off on killing psychopaths until your a pretty high level, with 53,594 kills (wait on the helicopter after you reach the 53k kills so you get the bonus weapon from the achievement.) that way you can get the Real Mega Buster and then you'll be able to pwn all the psychopahts, i was able to kill the guy in the huge market (where you get the med. for brad) in 4 shots using the Real Mega Buster, and the girl on the motorcycle took only 2 hits with it and she was gone (REAL easy with the gun) the reason why i dont have the psychopath achievements yet is because i plan on beating 72 hour mode, then doing a new 72 hour mode by just killing psychopaths with the Real Mega Buster.

I have a good way for beating some people. The guy in the movie theat 3-5 er, bring 2 shotguns if you can, but any gun wil work, its just that shotguns are stronger. As soon as the battle starts run right past him, there should be a half-ledge and then another ledge up to the stage. go up on top of the ledge he wont be able to get to you, for some reason he gets stuck of the half-ledge, so just shot him till hes dead. The clown has the best weapons for killing bosses. As soon as you kill him take both chainsaws and dont use them on random zombies. I beat almost every boss ive encountered by a simple rush and 3-5 chainsaw attacks, but i was leval 20 so that might have somthing to do with it...

I think the 5 and 7 day have to be done in Infinite Mode which sucks because time seems to go a lot slower in inifinite mode (at least to me) and all the psychopaths are just roaming the mall so you have to fight them too and on top of all that even survivors are enemies in this mode AND your life meter goes down over time. I'm on 22 hours a right now and while it's not too difficult, its going to be fucking tedious.

Certain achievements will unlock clothing that when pieced together makes the Mega Man outfit. Heres what you have to do.

UNLOCKABLE: Mega Man Outfit
It was originally believed that the Mega Man outfit was obtainable if you were able to locate a particular toy store in the mall that housed the costume. However, unlocking the outfit requires some good old elbow grease, better known as hard work. You must unlock certain achievements throughout the game in order to piece together the outfit.

Real Mega Buster: Obtain the Zombie Genocide Achievement by defeating at least 53,600 zombies. This buster shoots actual destructive blasts opposed to the tennis ball cannons located in toy stores.

Mega Man Tights: Obtain the Punisher Achievement by defeating 10 psychopaths, or bosses throughout the game. You will know you defeated a psychopath when you earn a "defeated psychopath" message after a boss battle.

Mega Man Boots: Obtain the Unbreakable Achievement by getting the true ending of the game in the 72 hour mode plus the overtime mode without getting caught by the special ops. If you are caught by the special ops forces after the 8th case, or in overtime mode and you witness the sequence where you must wiggle out of the binds and escape then the "true ending" won't occur and you won't receive the boots. If you do get caught, restart the console and try again.

Mega Man Helmet: No Achievement is necessary, instead all that is needed is a trip to a toy store. You can find the helmet in the toy store that resides in the movie theater, just north of Paradise Plaza.

Please Note: Once you attain each of these achievements, the corresponding pieces of the outfit will be delievered to the Security Room. You will find them behind the airshaft where you first meet Otis the janitor and get the map (plus the transceiver).

This isnt confirmed by anyone I know, but seems legit. I can tell you though I did what they say you have to do for the Unbreakable achievement, and I didnt get it. And on the other hand the Mega Buster has been confirmed. Let me know if you get anything else. This was lifted off 1Up.com.

the way to do it easier, is to get 4-6 wines (you can find these at the food court, as soon as you walk in wal to your right...i think if there not there then go to the left and they'll be there, there are some on the floor.) and put them in a blender (two at a time) you then get a quick step drink, get an SMG or two, or a katana or something run over to him and either shoot him or hit him with the katana, when i did it i used the Real Mega Buster, which you get when you kill 53,594 zombies. in order to get it you have to wait on the helicopter at the helipad.

By far the EASIEST way to beat this one is to get the big gun off the truck (when you fight the three psychopaths), after the cutscene run up the stairs into the sporting goods store and wait until Carlito runs out. Aim and shoot and he's done in 2-3 seconds TOPS.

yeah i just ran people over in the parking lot with the car (diddnt kill anything inthe tunnel because the car would explode and i was to lazy to find the truck lol) i just kept doing that, the only time i went into the tunnel was to get the zombies and the car in the parkinglot to respawn.

CAUTION: SOME ACHIEVEMENT DESCRIPTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Alright, in an attempt to organize things a little more I wrote out an achievement guide. Every achievement is listed here and some of them also have instructions on how to get them. Some of them were a little obvious so I didnt explain, some of them dont have instructions because I need people to help out.

If you are confused on how to get an achievement, then post here telling us which one you need help on. If you know how to get one of the achievements that dont have instructions, let me know and I will add it to the list.

Please try and keep questions about achievements and how to get them limited to this thread. It will help keep this forum organized and make it much easier to get information when you need it.

Hella Copter
TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Successfully repel a Helicopter. 20 http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e27/RoutineX/xbimages/icon-gp.jpg
In Overtime mode go to Leisure Park with plenty of food and machine guns then shoot down the helicopter. Machine guns work best against the helicopter. Don't forget to bring some food as you will be getting hit a few times. There are 2 main attacks the helicopter has. The less deadly and more common attack is where it will line you up and fly towards you while shooting its machine guns. The attack you have to watch out for is when it stays back for a little and shoots off 2 or 3 missiles. You can tell when it is about to do this by watching for it to stay in one position for a moment, as well as listening for the sound of them being fired. After the first time, Im sure you'll know. When it starts firing, run to one side and don't stop until they are done. The best way to shoot it down is to fire at it as it is flying towards you shooting its machine guns. As soon as it passes overhead, realign your camera to show behind you and continue shooting as it flies away. There are no visual cues to show your progress and this fight cant take a long time.

Perfect Gunner
TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Don't miss with a machine gun. 20 http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e27/RoutineX/xbimages/icon-gp.jpg
Using the Special Forces gun you can't miss with an entire clip, meaning every bullet must hit flesh (undead, psychopath, or special ops) until you run out of bullets. It may be helpful to take a few machine guns into the maintenance tunnels underneath the super market and very carefully and patiently shoot off bullets one by one into the crowd. There are so many zombies that your chances of missing are very low. It may be necessary to shoot one by one because it has a tendancy to not register some shots when fired too quickly. You can also achieve this towards the end of Overtime mode when you are escaping underground. Towards the end there is a jeep that you must escape in with two Spec Op guards nearby. Kill both of the guards and then take the machine gun off the jeep. With the machine gun from the jeep, shoot the jeep until every bullet is used and you should receive the Perfect Gunner achievement.

I did it in regular story mode. It takes about 40 in game hours.

First, fill up your inventory with 1 melee weapon of choice and the rest wine/oj. Then head out and get the red convertible. Run over the zombies in the parking lot on the way to the maintenance tunnels. Go down in the tunnels. Hang a left. Mow over as many zombies as you can. You will come to a dead end with a BUNCH of zombies and two Cube trucks. One cube truck has its lights on so that means it can be driven. Mow over all the zombies in that room. I just do doughnuts until they are mostly dead. By this time your car is smoking meaning its almost ready to pop. But you still have time left for a little more carnage. Head back down the tunnel you came where all the zombies are making their way to you. There are usually some wheeling around the porpane tanks. Hit em. It will clear the entire area and rack up the body count. Go down to the *second* "SLOW" sign that is painted on the pavement. What this does it respawn all the zombies in the area by the two cube trucks. Now reverse back into that area and mow 'em all down again. Your car should break about 3/4 of the way thru killing them all. Hop out and hop into the cube truck. Now head down the tunnel and go past the entrance ramp on your right. Keep going and that tunnel will come to an end...hang a left. Go briefly down that tunnel and you'll pass a 'circle' of road. Hang a right. This will dead end also where an non-usable cube truck is. Turn your cube truck around and head back out mowing down as many as you can. Head back to the entrance ramp because your cube truck is close to popping. Go up the ramp, mow em down in the parking lot and then ditch the truck and get in the car. Rinse and repeat.

This is a circuit that uses almost the full life of the truck and the car and nets between 900 and 1200 zombies each run. Keep your wine full because your car/truck might break early and you'll be in a tunnel that is THICK withc zombies. Use the melee weapon if one gets close and use zombie walk/jump to weave thru. Another thing is there are TONS of queens/wasps down there. you can always grab one and keep in your inventory and smash it if you get in real trouble. But honestly, after a couple of runs, you'll get the hang on it and learn how many scrapes, bumps, explosions, etc. your car and truck can take before it blows.

This provides two benefits. One is obviously your Real Mega Buster...a bad ass sidearm :) The second is your Level. Im currently 43 using this technique. You'll be adding to your maximum Health, Inventory and Speed as well as your Special Moves. Plus you'll get the 53K acheivement.

The quickest way to get this is at the end of the game when the Special Forces come. There will be some in the warehouse where you take survivors to to get them the the rooftop through the elevator, kill all the special forces in there and take there guns, next fire all the bullets. Then go into the elevator and up to the roof top. Do this until you get the achievement.

Im pretty sure the 24 hours in or out, has to be consecutive.

Im curious about the Unbreakable achievement. I read that you have to get ending A, and then finish Overtime mode without getting caught once. I did exactly that and all I unlocked was Infinite mode. Very confusing, and frustrating. Any ideas?
Did you get ko'd in 72 hour mode? That might be it.

Actually beating them in that small room will do nothing but get you out. You have to go to the theater and beat the psychopath there. Follow your arrow to find out which theater it is, I believe 4.
