I don't really watch to much TV and sometimes I watch some reality TV but I kinda want to start watching more TV but I don't want to waste my money buying any of the seasons if the show sucks.
some shows I wanna try watching are
True Blood
The Event
maybe a sitcom such as how I met your mother or the community
but whats a really good show on TV that is a must watch and something thats really worth the money?
I love comedy, drama, crime shows, etc

Should look into AMC shows like The Killing, Breaking Bad, Rubicon, The Walking Dead, and Mad Men.

If Dextor is anywhere near as good as Dexter, you will LOVE it! :p

No but seriously, Dexter is amazing. Watch it all. Now.

If you're worried about money though, just get a Netflix account instead of buying stuff (or at least try it on Netflix before you buy it). You can pay like $8 for just the streaming (first two seasons of Dexter are on there) and it's only I think a dollar more for 1-disc out at a time. Like for Community, which is my current show of choice.

Other must watches: Arrested Development and Firefly. Both of those have all their episodes streaming as well. :)

I like to watch hoarders, extreme couponing, and repo-games. but showtime is a channel you have to pay for but there are so many good series on there.

Yeah, I strongly recommend looking into a Netflix account. I never have problems, and as always, streams in HD.

But where do I start. Because of Netflix, I've become a sort TVholic. Netflix makes it so much easier to watch, and whats not on Instant, you can get DVDs sent to your house.

* Indicates on Instant Netflix

Must Watches:
*The Office (U.S.)

Other Shows:
*Blue Mountain State
*My Name Is Earl
*That '70s Show
The King of Queens
*Veronica Mars

I'll recommend How I Met Your Mother until I die.
(I even named my dog Teddy and I introduce him to people with "Haaaave you met Ted?" longtime fan haha..)

Also if you're into crime shows, I'm currently watching The Shield.
Old but very good :)

Some of the shows I watch/watched...

- Chuck (Good family action/comedy. 'Miranda' from Mass Effect 2 is one of the main characters. Great fun to watch.)

- Dexter (Also great but the storylines have become repetitive and predictable as of the latest seasons.)

- Heroes (Started off amazing, started to decline after Season 2. It was still awesome! It's been cancelled now, but watch the first few episodes and see if you like it.)

- South Park (Funniest show on TV, in my opinion. Season 1 is legendary but isn't the greatest introduction to the show, it's come along way. Google the best rated episodes, watch them, piss yourself.)

If you use to enjoy the Xena and Hercules then check out Legend of the Seeker. Sam Rami is the Producer.

If Prison Break and/or The Wire come back on TV, watch them.

agh if you have to choose between Breaking Bad or Weeds, then pick breaking bad as it's 10X better than the other show mentioned. Weeds is a lot more comedic than breaking bad, but BB has some good dark comedy in it.

Breaking Bad
Six Feet Under
Mad Men
The Shield
South Park
That 70's Show
The Office (US)
Family Guy
Walking Dead
The Simpsons

The first season of Dexter is incredible! Just do yourself a favour and see it. The other season is also good, but the first season was like magic for me!

Also if you like comedy shows I love Weeds, you could check it out. Watch some clips on Youtube first if you're not sure.

And if you like shows with a lot of mystery Lost is great! It gets a little more focused on action in the last seasons, but it's still very exciting and you always wonder what will happen next.
