I got the new XBox that came with the kinect a while back but now the lack of memory space is just ruining everything. I was just trying to look for something but I couldn't find anything... so does anyone have anything on this?

I believe you have to buy the new style hard drive if you need more space.
There isn't a slot for the old style

Yeah, the 4G Xbox has room to add a 250G hard drive. I bought a 4G last year know nothing about Xbox and was out of space within a couple weeks, lol. So I bought a 250G HD and added it.

There are plenty of YouTube tutorials about removing an old style HDD from it's casing.

You can probably find a cheap 20, 60, or 120GB hard drive and drop it into the slim's drive bay.

Yes, but it dies involve tearing apart the old hard drive, voiding the warranty in the process.

Well that's alright I guess. I've had that HDD for actually I think 5 years now so I think the warranty is gone already, but I have to double check.

There isn't a HDD bigger then 250GB for the slim. Your going to have to delete some stuff from your HDD, until Microsoft announce another HDD, for the slim that is bigger then 250GB.
You can remove the HDD currently in the Xbox, but there isn't a bigger slim modle HDD, other then the 250GB you have. (assuming that you have the 250GB version)

Yes but to keep your warranty you need to buy an upgraded hard drive I thinik there is a 16GB HD and its reasonably priced!

Obviously you could just go staright for the 250GB!!

I'm not sure which 1 I have, I think it's the 60GB so would that work if I took the HDD out of the case and put it in the slim?

Actually they already half-announced a 320GB drive, due to come out some time between now and September 21st.

(We know that the Gears 3 console comes with it. It may or may not be available for separate purchase before then.)

Just sayin'

Yes. Will work flawlessly.

Just tear apart your old hard drive and put it in the 4GB. You can find youtube vids on this as well.

Your gonna need some torx screwdrivers though.. can't remember the size. but i could find out if you needed it.

Sure the warranty for the hard drive will be "Void" but its already "Void" if you had it for 4 years or whatever.

You WILL NOT void the warranty for the console by using that old hard drive.. there isn't a thing in the world that MS can do to detect you used it in the 4gb xbox.. not to mention your still using MS certified and approved products in it.

If you need help just PM me. Ive had my 60GB hdd in my slim untill i found a 250 on ebay for 50 bucks.

You realize that you can delete stuff and just redownload it again as needed.

It's all in your Download History. 4GB is way more than I had when I upgraded HDDs. You don't need to keep everything you buy stored ALL the time on your HDD.

I can't understand how you could possibly fill up a 250 on a 360. I have at LEAST 10 full games installed, plus tons of DLC & XBLA games. Dragon Age 2, All 3 LANoire disks (now that I think of it tho, since I 1k'd it, I should really delete those...), Gears 2, Halo Reach, CoD BOPS, Prey, and a few others....

Still have something like 50 - 75 gigs free.
