Any one know if this is going to be the last DLC for this game or will there be more? I saw on one post that this was it, but hope not. This is a good game and has a lot more potential for DLC cases.

Chances are that we might, but for now yes this will be the last DLC.

With both Red Dead and GTA4 being 1500 max, i would bet they have another dlc up their sleeve!!

They said no more so that's that.

If they change their mind later then that their choice to do so but until then all the blubbering in the world isn't going to make a difference.

They said no more so that's that.

I think they actually said there was 'none planned', minor detail, but it means it's still possible. I hope so because the ones they've released so far have been pretty short and even added together doesn't quite feel sufficient.

Originally didnt they say that la noire was going to be 6 discs on the 360? Instead of 6 discs they decided to make the rest (or the best) DLC's...

If thats the case then we have many more dlc's on our way

I think they might release some more cases if the ones already released sell well enough (which I believe they will). Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They said at one point it could have been 5 or 6 dvds and 2 BD but they never said the cut out stuff would be released as DLC sadly.

Hopefully this will be the last one. I've had my fill of the game and it was fun while it lasted but gets repetitive quickly. Since this is such an easy game to complete I will still buy all DLC to have the game maxed out.

Yeah, rockstar have said this will be the last one. I was kind of hoping for something a bit more.... lengthy, then the cases they've given us.

No more L.A. Noire DLC? whuuuuhhh...

I say keep it coming all year long and beyond!
Microsoft's 1500-point game limit be DAMNED!!!

I don't know what it is,
but I just can't get enough of this game.
I frickin' LOVE it! I want more of it!
Make it hurt Drill Sergeant, make it HURT!!!
...whoa, sorry about that.

Don't get me wrong, I fully acknowledge the folks who are over it,
and who find it repetitive. That's cool, and far be it from me to
point-out that every single game I've ever played can technically be
labeled as repetitive. But that's just the nature of games, isn't it?
Particularly when it comes to multi-player games. I mean come'on,
talk about repetitive?

Anyway, sorry for the ramblin'...
I just wanted to toss my two pennies into the fountain.
MORE L.A. NOIRE DLC... and as fast as they can churn 'em out!

Cheers :D

I think those are only exceptions for the "high profile" games. Like Halo and I think Gears goes to 1750 but yeah that's not the norm. 1500 is where you can get to without special permission. Which probably means without paying Micro$oft tons of money.

Kinda bummed they're avoiding what I felt were the best cases in the game -- Homicide.

i sure hope so the game was good but lately its been doing the same thing over and over and over..........and over i really hope this is the last because the reason why ive been buying the dlcs is that they put the dlcs in the game before they came out and im just trying to fully complete the game and get everything.

No, the achievement policy rules are/were

1000 points at retail.

then whenever they add DLC they could use upto 250G per pack

but the game could only get to 1750G.

once maxed to 1750G they could no longer add achievements to the game(but they could still add DLC)

Now the rules go something like

upto 50 achievements in the game at retail then no more than 75 achievemnts once all DLC is added

of course games in the passed break the new rules, im expecting a new upto daye achievement policy details anytime this year

Well it sounds like R* are cutting any connections with TB now so yeah this will be the last DLC and any future games wont have R* logo on them.

I was thinking there would be more but as Team Bondi and Rockstar seem to be ripping bits out of each other all over the net and the well documented fact they hate each other i'm thinking we'll have seen the last DLC with this one unless they already have it made.

yea i mean the cases are pretty good, the game has a good atmosphere, and since this crime solving genre is still pretty infantile il enjoy playing new cases until every company starts making these games. then itl be like the FPS genre, YAWN! altho i hate myself for buying so many FPS games...DAM U MULTIPLAYER!!

The PS3 version has an exclusive homicide case. I would assume that would be the one they port over whenever the contract is up.

I wouldn't be too bothered if this was the last DLC, with Red Dead they were smart spreading 95 achievements over the months, this game has unloaded all DLC within 2 months of release.

Plus with it being 60 achievements for 1400 gamescore, 95 for 1500 on Red Dead could mean 1 more DLC in the future, if so it needs to be a decent case, with no interrogations, just a straight shoot out with criminals robbing a bank, fleeing the scene, taking hostages, that kind of stuff.

So far that's the only post I've read that makes any sense at all. But so far it's only available to North American PS3 users. If Europeans can't even get it on their PS3s I don't have much hope for a 360 version. And it's a Traffic case, not Homicide.

That's your idea of a good DLC case? You could finish that in like 5 minutes.

If they make another DLC, I would like it to be set after 'the ending' playing as Jack Kelso on a fraud case that ends up to be Roy Earle.

I would love more DLC for this game, but I cant see it happening now with the way Team Bondi have been acting, I cant see them repairing the relationship with Rockstar, as the DLC is linked to the Rockstar pass I think that would block anything not already agreed by both parties.

budden11
07-11-2011, 06:34 PM
Maybe you could finish my above idea in 5 minutes, but what i'm getting at is, although I love the way this game was designed and was a different outlook on gaming, I think it was too repetitive, I mean by the end of the game I was getting bored of pointing at useless clues, and asking a bunch of questions, I need action, the last DLC provided more action less questioning, but maybe I just don't know what I want from a detective game.

I understand that, I'm also sick of the gameplay in Noire, it's boring. But that's not them making the game wrong, that's just us not liking this type of game.

I've decided that as far as Rockstar is concerned I'm just going to stick to Grand Theft Auto and maybe Midnight Club from now on. Noire isn't my type of game, but that's because this type of game itself is too slow paced, not because they designed the game poorly.

I agree it was a good game when it first started. But now the whole things seems old. I wouldnt mind if they dont release anymore dlc for this game for quite some time. Of course with the whole falling out between Rockstar and Team Bondi there may not be anymore LA Noire till the sequel comes out.

I wish there was more DLC, sadly there probably wont be and the way things have went with bondi and rockstar it might be difficult to see a Noire 2

I still dont see how people saw this game as boring, well I mean I can see it....I guess I was too into the games cases and story to notice the repetitiveness others saw...I just think too many people saw rockstar and thought GTA style action

yeah sure you go around, look at things, ask some questions, tail some people, chase some people, shoot some people...sure you do all that about 20 times over but I didnt mind because I didnt notice becuase I was too involved in the story/case....the only repetitive parts I thought were the street cases since they were all pretty much the same 3 scenarios (not to mention the fact I did 75% of them in a row)

I guess different strokes for different folks because I think GTA is quite boring myself and would much rather play noire, the stories of GTA games just dont interest me

The game is pretty immersive the first time through, I was very into it during the my first play. But I went through the game 3 times start-to-finish before I got all the achievements, and case by case the small aspects of a game become more and more apparent.

Any game can be fun the first time through, that isn't hard, lasting appeal and replay value though, those are hard. And that, that's the reason I sold the game only hours after getting 1400 gamerscore.

I'm not about to risk losing trade-in value on speculation as concrete as a wet paper bag.

If they do release DLC I'll wait until the game is worth five bucks and get it again, but until then I'd rather have $30 towards Forza 4 than a game that ultimately disappoints.

I think there will be more based on recent news, the game deserves it.

The recent batch of DLC's were admittedly short but I thought they added nicely to the main game. Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve for the next batch! Great game, looking forward to another chance to play it with some fresh cases!

I've got 1300 gamescore on L.A. Noire, but I've sold the game now; all I need is 5 more achievements which are all in the Reefer madness case. but don't really want to get the game back for 100 gamescore. :/ If they bring out more DLC, I guess it'll be worth getting back.

This is an update to the story regarding further DLC:

UPDATE: Since the publication of this story, excited L.A. Noire fans have been wondering what Rockstar's statement means and have asked Rockstar via the studio's official site. The official Rockstar response on the site was (http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/17621/la-noire-reefer-madness-dlc-case-now-available-for-download.html/#comments): "all that statement is referring to is the Consul's Car case which we hope to be bringing to more of you soon. Stay tuned!"

Not worth holding on to the game for, IMO. I heard it was super short and of course no achieves.

I read somewhere that they were going to adapt real crimes from major news stories into the game. Hopefully they do this, I liked the game but so far the DLC was kinda boring. Great game though.
