This is one thing I thought the Slim might have had when it was released but it didn't but im happy to see that there working and have succesfully devoloped it for the 360. Maybe we might see this role out in the new version of the slim when its released? Who knows.

And more fanboy wars start, but this will be cool none the less

Looks crisper definitely, but I don't think that playing the game without it is really non-differential.

I'm not much of a tech guy, is this something that can be done with a software/firmware update? Or does it require some kind of new hardware setup?

I was curious about this too...I'm guessing it is new hardware.

I think this would be great if they could roll it out in an update (if possible), but if it is only possible to have on the next wave of updated consoles than I will be passing on it. I don't care about graphics enough to buy a new console so my characters hair is more smooth :p

I am unsure about the actual implementation, but i don't think this can be done with a firmware update. Someone more technical could possibly reveal the answer though.

They messed with the brightness and contrast for the 360. Look at it, we all know if you mess with your settings and brighten the tv too much it'll look like crap. Now I'm not saying I don't see the pixel ratio to be different but I'm just saying kfjdhelkhgoehg ;)

If you got to gamesindustry.biz, there is a video showing the differences between not having MLAA and using MLAA. And they show that they can implement it in less than one minute.

It sounds like it would be an addition to the game engine/code.

Well, that'll be cool if they get it working. Nicer graphics are always nice to have, but I've never really been one to cry over one version looking obviously better than the other if you zoom in 500% either. Usually I'm just playing them at 100% where that stuff is barely, if at all, noticeable.

If they get actual, decent AA in there, then it will be a good improvement. If it is only as good as the comparison picture, then I don't think it's smart of them to do that, because hardly anyone will notice that.

As if I'll play games at 300%+ zoom.

good news I guess, although I probably wont even notice an improvement........although if this somehow fixed L.A. Noire's lack of anti aliasing in some places it would be nice (sometimes the shadows were horrendous, namely in the studio secretary's living area .....)

i won't notice it, but as long as there are no negative effects its a good thing i guess

never mind smoothing out edges etc, someone needs to fix the fact that from his mouth the guy looks like he's swallowed a torch!!!

The picture shows the Ps3 is still smoother imo.

Sounds good to me as long as its an update if it means buying a new console then I'm not fussed I'm happy with it at the moment.
