I have seen it advertised on the internet. Cannot say whether it is worth a purchase or not. I just find it slightly humorous that they are already coming out with "add-ons" for a relatively new piece of hardware. Could they not have a zoom function like on most cameras that have existed for decades??

I'm waiting for the reviews to come in first. I don't really need it at the moment but I would buy it for future use because it would mean I could bring my kinect to a friends house without them having to rearrange furniture to use it.

It's actually Nyko and not Microsoft who will bring us the Kinect Zoom, so I don't find it strange at all. Although I don't think the accessory will work very well.
Besides, there already are a lot of equipment to buy to your Kinect from third parties like wall-mounts and such, not to mention the stuff that comes with EA Active 2...

I am also interested in this simply so I don't have to arrange the area each time I want to play kinect. I will probably wait for a few reviews and go from there.
Like others have said, a zoom function likely should have been included but it is still relatively new hardware so future versions may implement a zoom.

That thread as more reviews from here. I have it and don't have a problem with it but most seem to.

theres a lot of mixed reviews with this.i havent got it yet because i could be paying £30 for a useless piece of plastic (like id did when i paid £130 for the useless piece of plastic it goes with) the only thing which will make kinect work better in smaller spaces is if microsoft release some kind of update for it.

I got one last week.....I think its ok but doesnt give the play area 40% as stated.....it's worth a punt if you have 30 notes spare :)

I managed to pick one up the other week £15 quid in a special sale and my opinions on it are simple, pick one up if you aint got the room as it does work.

i could only imagine it would work just fine, the only thing i see a problem is with it being just like cropping, you lose playable area thus making some games more difficult to play...but thats just how a look at it

This is the first I've heard of the Zoom. But it's also the first time I used the Kinect video chat. The video chat has a zoom and follow capability.
What else would you need it for?
