They are both good for different reasons. If you like realistic games, than go for Forza, if you want a fun arcade like game, then choose PGR3. Personally, I would get Forza if they were equal price, but I think PGR is now a Platinum hit for bargain price, so I would get both.

For my money, I'll take the arcade racer(PGR) over the sim racer(Forza) all the time. Besides, Forza is crap. :p

forza 2 i think is much better

All a matter of opinion. Do you prefer unrealistic racing (Drifting full speed around hairpin turns) or realistic sim racing (Slowing down at every corner, tuning your car etc).

Personally I prefer Forza.

PGR3, Forza is and always will be crap.

PGR4 will have bikes though, so some crapification is involved in the upcoming game. It'll still poop in the face of Forza 2.

If I had to choose one and only one, I'd probably go with Forza...

Can't really compare the two games because they're totally different. One is a sim and the other one is kind of arcadey. It's like comparing Test Drive Unlimited to Ridge Racer 6. Other than that, I'll go with PGR3. Looks better and prefer the gameplay over Forza.

If I just want to mess around and drift without tuning anything I'll go with PGR3, but for real racing and cars you can actually upgrade, then Forza it is. :Bounce:

Are you a car person? If so, definitely choose Forza. With over 300 cars, you'll be busy for quite a long time. You can also spend literally hours tuning your car as well as developing paint jobs. I haven't actually played PGR3, but as mentioned above, it is now a platinum hit.

I voted PGR3, I liked that better than Forza.

If I was ranking all the games from both series, I would say:

PGR2 > Forza 2 > PGR3 > PGR > Forza

I'm not quite sure if any game period has passed PGR3 on the 360. Really, it's an easy desert island game for me. Challenging, fun career mode. Addictive multiplayer. What more could you want? I can't sell Forza too short, though. For what it's worth, Forza excels at what it sets out to do, but Jesus Christ, give it a rest. I don't really need a 60+ hour career mode in any non-roleplaying game. I don't care about tuning a car. I don't even need the paint jobs or the upgrades or the ridiculous car prices. Frankly, I'm not as convinced as you guys are that PGR3 was a genuine arcade racer, either. Really, I think Forza overdoes it; gives superrealism. PGR3 is a happy mean and will almost certainly be the best racing game on the 360.

If you don't care about any of that, then don't buy the game. Forza Motorsport's goal is to be a realistic racer. As stated by Turn 10, "What we're trying to do is make car people like games and game people like cars".

I think Forza is good because of it's customization and realistic gameplay. I play racing games to go fast because I don't want to die in real life so I choose PGR3.

I'd go with PGR 3. Because I found in Forza I'd end up taking a corner at 15 mp/h and in PGR 3 I found I could go around a corner at around 60 - 85 mp/h (if the car handled good).

Holy crap! Thanks for the poll. I forgot I even had PGR3. Not quite sure why I put it down at the time, but MY choice would be PGR over Forza

As you progress and upgrade your car, sometimes first gear will be in that 60-85 mph range. You can still make turns at that speed, you just need to wait to get a car that can do so.

My vote goes to Forza. I love the whole Sims Racing. Gran Turismo started it all for me. In general, I like ALL Racing games. PGR is more on the "Arcade" side of things, as many of you have already mentioned. I have no problem with that, but I do enjoy the difficulty of a Sims Racing game more. Forza also allows you to modify cars and has damage effects. Those 2 combined features should be in all racing games.

We'll see what PGR4 has to offer when the game is released. Then we can really compare and contrast the 2.

I voted Forza as in my opinion I will be playing it longer than I played PGR3. Although the answer to the poll will really be dictated by personal tastes of the person answering. Fitting then that there is only one vote in it at this point in time....

I like PGR3 because I'm a fan of unrealistic racing games.

I prefer PGR3 just because I'm better at that one. Ha, but seriously, I prefer the not so realistic.

PGR2 was a classic game. PGR3 seemed to me to be rushed out and didnt have the same feel in driving as PGR2 did. Don't get me wrong, PGR3 was/is a good game, but I do prefer Forza 2 over this.

However, I am very much looking forward to PGR4 ! Racing bikes against cars should be awesome ! Bring it on !
