Voltron DEFINED the era of mech. combination. I was born in 82 so this is an absolute purchase for me... Anyone who is unsure about it and have never seen the show should checkout some episodes on Youtube.. it is unprecedented, and the Power Rangers owe there entire accomplishments to this cartoon, f'in thieves!...

Ha ha ha ha, very nice!! Buy why is your XBox360A Username not the same or similar?

Voltron DEFINED the era of mech. combination. [....]:

I have to disagree with the "era of mech", because that title would have to go to Gundam - which started in 1979, four years before Voltron - which is still on going. Not to mention the Models, Video Game, Manga, and Novels. But, that's just my opinion.

So the Power Rangers first appear in Japan in 1975 as "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger", Voltron's origins can only be traced to 1981, and somehow the Power Rangers were the ripoff? How does that work?

Don't know and when it comes to power rangers i dont care. Voltron was first in my eyes back on us television during the mid 80s when i was a kid so in my universe Voltron was first and thats all I care about.

And speaking of cool robots why has noone mentioned Tranzor Z? Or in Japan Magizenier Z quite sure I spelled wrong but i cant be bothered with that right now.

Y'know, bought the game day 1 like alot of people here, but I had never actually watched Voltron in my entire life, I'm loving the game to bits, but I'm a child of the 90's so I bought this because it's about the closest thing I'm gonna get to a decent Power Rangers game on Xbox.

Even more on the weird side, the Voltron game was made by THQ, I'm pretty sure THQ did some of the PR games...

All I know is that Peter Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime in the recent movies and the original cartoons, did the voiceover work on the American Voltron cartoons. In particular, when you pause/unpause the game, the commercial break message and return to action dialog. BLEW MY MIND!

That was by far one the coolest things about this game. The way they stuck to the 80's cartoon.
