Introduction:

Crimson Alliance clocks in at about 5 - 6 hours to finish the campaign, but it can take you quite a bit longer than that to unlock all of the Achievments. The ride is probably more fun with friends though, so you may want to find a buddy or 3 and get ready for some hack'n slash'n good times!

Campaign Playthrough:

The very first 2 that I recommend unlocking right away, on the very first stage (Fall of Byzan), are the Big Bang Theory and I'm Not Dead Yet! Achievements. Just start a solo (not co-op) game and use all the barrels on as many enemies as possible to unlock the Big Bang Theory Achievement. Next, get yourself purposely low on health and try to find a health jug with a barrel near-by. Grab the barrel and walk-up to the health jug. Throw the barrel into the health jug killing yourself and the jug. You should revive unlocking the I'm Not Dead Yet! Achievement. Now, from this point on, you can play the game solo or co-op (or a mix)... play however you want!

After finishing the first stage (Fall of Byzan), just play through the game normally and enjoy it. Basically, have fun and don’t worry about missing anything, you can always go back to any stage and none of the Achievements are missable.

You should be able to unlock the following 7 Achievements, pretty easily, on your first campaign playthrough:

  1. I Have The Power!
  2. Big Bang Theory
  3. I'm Not Dead Yet! (Must be done solo, not in a co-op game)
  4. Maxed Out
  5. Horny Devil
  6. Bring Out Your Dead!
  7. Soul Survivor

Soul Hoarder, Collectables, and Gear Leveling:

After you've finished the game, you're going to want to go back and get all the collectables. You might as well get all the Heart Containers, Soul Anchors, Challenge Maps, and Treasure Chests (with Gear inside), to be able to get through the trials ahead in the most efficient manner possible. Collecting all 33 Soul Anchors also unlocks the Soul Hoarder Achievement.

Lastly, if you didn't by chance get Maxed Out during your first playthrough, you will most likely get it during this phase. I got it easily during my first playthough as The Wizard, but it may come slower depending on what character/class you play and what treasures you find (or don't find).

Three-peat (Best with boosting partner):

So, you're going to have to play Fall of Byzan at least 2 more times, but most likely more. Are you sick of it yet? It's actually best to do it with a boosting partner, playing it up to 6 times (3 times per person). This boosting partner should have a fully upgraded character, just like you, so you don't have to upgrade the other 2 characters/classes yourself.

Set the difficulty to immortal or higher and both of you guys should just rush through as quickly as possible, without getting hit once by any enemy, and have the fully upgraded character/class do all the work. The weaker character/class should just block and dash, for the most part. Try to find any quick to get to Secret Areas, as well, as these give more points the harder the difficulty is.

If boosting with a partner, it should take about an hour, going through the Fall of Byzan 6 times.

Go for the Gold, Rampage, and Special Delivery:

For Rampage, just go through a stage on normal difficulty and kill everything without ever taking any damage.

Stages where this has proven to be doable on include:

  1. Argosy Road (Assassin)
  2. Homecoming (Wizard)
  3. Asturi (Everyone)

To unlock Special Delivery, first set the difficulty to hard and then start the "Palace of Death" stage. The present is located just up the first staircase and after the first wave of skeletons. There are some crates in front of it that you must grab and toss out of the way. Grab the present and go through the stage without breaking it. Drop it if needed and conduct combat. Watch-out for dropping the present behind doors that may close, leaving you no way back to pick-it-back-up.

Moving on, unlocking Go for the Gold is going to take some skill, practice, and a maxed-out character. Contrary to what the Achievement description states, you must also get a Gold Medal on all 6 of the Challenge Stages as well. This Achievement is the most difficult one to unlock in the whole game and will most likely be your last. Playing all the stages over again on ridonkulous difficulty proves to be the most efficient (yet hardest) way to accomplish this task, for the most part.

Clean-up:

If you still haven't unlocked I Have The Power!, Big Bang Theory, I'm Not Dead Yet!, or Maxed Out by now, I question how you actually tried so hard to avoid getting these. I guess I could say, "good job" on not unlocking these on purpose, but you probably will want to get them now.

Conclusion:

You should now have unlocked all 200:gsicon: in Crimson Alliance. Congratulations!

Unleash your Ultimate attack.

This will come after you find a few Soul Anchors to unlock the first bar of power. Kill some enemies to fill this bar up and then press LB when it's fully glowing.

Earn a gold medal on Fall of Byzan with each character class.

Get a fully upgraded boosting partner, set the difficulty to immortal or higher, and both of you guys should just rush through as quickly as possible, without getting hit once by any enemy, and have the fully upgraded character/class do all the work. Kill 25 enemies with explosive barrels in a single level.

Unlock this on the very first stage (Fall of Byzan). Use all the barrels on as many enemies as possible to unlock.

Revive yourself while playing alone.

There's are a few different ways to unlock this. You can either use a Healing Totum with good timing or you get yourself purposely low on health and try to find a Health Pot with a barrel near-by. Grab the barrel and walk-up to the Health Pot. Throw the barrel into the Health Pot, killing yourself and breaking the Health Pot.

Max out any character stat.

Just find and/or buy enough gear to fully upgrade one single stat to maxium (20 points). You should easily get this near the end of the game.

Wow. An amazing guide by the looks of it. From what i can see there's no mistakes that i've noticed.

I would say. The wizard in general maxed is prob the best character to do it with. Make sure you have high freeze and fireball stats.

Many thanks for the guide, and your time taken to complete it =)

I definitely recommend doing "Special Delivery" in co-op and don't forget to be carrying the present when the level ends. Remember, only one person can get this achievement at a time in a co-op game.

This isn't true. Zeralith and I were playing 3 player co-op earlier and all 3 of us got the achievement at the same time with just 1 run through. The video for this achievement is being uploaded to YouTube right now and will be available soon, I'm sure Zeralith will be adding it to his guide as well.

Doh! You're incorrect my man or maybe it glitched on you? I found that none of the Achievements are glitched at all though, personally.

What Fliptriq and I did, playing 3 players, was let the person who was carrying the present go through the Red Goal Gate at the end of the level.

This made the Achievement unlock for all players, so maybe it's the best method.

I'll get Fliptriq's video guide up there, for this, after he uploads it!

Thanks for the compliments and hope the guide works-out for everyone (I just made some minor edits)!

That one was very difficult. Way harder than any of the other levels, its all about memorizing spawn points of all the enemies and chaining kills to get more points. A couple things to remember:

Obviously, killing enemies without getting hit increases your multiplier.

Also, killing enemies within ~5 seconds of each other adds bonus points. So AoE attacks are much stronger than single target dps. Ideally, you want everything to die at the same time.

Be sure to use all the tools at your disposal. This includes consumables. You may have played through the entire game without dropping a Monster Bait, but in this level they can be a life saver.

Hope this helps! It took us tons of practice before we finally got the gold. Also, you must have gold medals on every level with the same character. You can do a couple levels with the wizard, switch to the mercenary, and finish the game on the assassin. The achievement won't pop unless you have all gold on one character.

Thanks for the heads up reguarding doing it with one character for the gold medal achievement.

Also, many thanks for the vids you've posted to help with various achievements. Much appreciated =)

Haven't seen this mentioned, but it is beneficial to do Special Delivery as you get special Unicorn Armor for your class which changes color and usually has awesome stats. The game doesn't really prompt you about this so after getting the achievement be sure to check you armor inventory for it.

Just heads up if anyone hadn't noticed.

This is referring to the "Rampage" achievement which I had a lot of trouble with. (probably because me and buddy kept trying to do it in co-op)

On the second level (Arogsy Road or something), I baited all the enemies in the first area, threw a barrel at them and got an automatic 6X. After I went through that big wood door I would group as many enemies as I can from that area with bait and then threw a barrel at them. By this time you should be close to 7X or at it. Then use your last bait on a group of enemies in the next area (with the big guy who has the spiked club) throw a barrel at them, then take out the rest in that area. So, if you did this right, you should be past 7X at this point. I was playing as the assassin so for the rest of the level I just used turrets and my daggers and got it no problem. Getting the enemies to group with the bait is a little tricky at first becuase sometimes some of them will chase you instead of the bait. Once you get the pattern down this shouldn't be too hard though.

Nice OrIGInalPyRO, I'll try that

It would be good to stress the fact that if people want the full 200, they will indeed need to buy all of the character classes. They might as well buy the set that has them all. The game is on sale and perfect for people to grab it. You can put it in extra equipment needed. You can download the game for free, but the characters themselves cost money. It throws a 0 on your gamertag if you try playing without a character. Though you can delete the game, it might register on other websites that track your completion percentage.
