Yep... it completely blows, but it is ONLY available as a download (via "Games on Demand"). This is also the case for "Resident Evil 4" - but you probably already know that, if you've read in that forum.

The game being available in retail stores, would be the same thing as those DLC items and Xbox Arcade games you can purchase at places like, "Game Stop." I suppose if you want something physical to hold in your hand that shows you own a copy of the game, you'll have to wait until those cards are available in retail stores. You might be able to get it from amazon.com, but most likely they will just e-mail you a 25-digit code.

At least I still have my Dreamcast version of the game, so that will likely be the only "physical" copy I'll ever own of "RE: Code Veronica!"

Actually, there is a retail version. But only in Japan. It sucks, because I would love to have the RE4 HD case to have in my collection. But, like you, I'll just keep a hold of my PS2 and GC versions of the ones I own.

And, I'm not for sure if there will be download codes for these games, since their GoD. I asked my friend who's the manager at the gamestop here, and he said he hasn't heard anything of the like. Though that's not sayin it won't ever happen.

Got to love internet forums,

Anyways, I was also hearing various things about them not releasing a retail disc, and about them eventually releasing one because of people who might not have Xbox Live/are connected online.

I will be slightly disappointed if there isn't a retail disc, although not as much as my friend (who works at Gamestop) since he wants it pretty bad but doesn't want to download the Games on Demand version.

At least the Japanese version isn't too expensive to import compared to most games (play-asia it's only $46.90 for the Asia version and $53.99 Japanese)

Unfortunately they are NTSC-J Region coded, although if they have stackable achievements I might consider picking up a copy...
