I bought a shit load of 4-3-3, 4-2-2-2 and 4-1-2-1-2 player/manager formation cards for less than 1000. Now people are selling them for 5000+. It's all about finding bargains, feels like i'm in a thrift store.

The price fixing is getting pretty annoying IMO. I was trying to get a Tim Howard or Brad Friedel at 4 a.m. and I kept getting in bidding wars for every one that was ending soon. Then when I go look at the recently put up for sale cards, 9 of them in a row were for sale by the same guy! So I can't get a good deal on a card because one kid is sitting there scooping them all up and then putting them up for twice what he paid. Dumb.

There will alway be price fixing no matter how long the game is going.
I currently own 20+ 4-1-2-1-2 cards which i bought all for 700c-1k and can sell for 11k+
I'm not trying to price fix, I just knew what would sell a lot and because i had the game early, used it to my advantage.

Plus there's always the 59th minute where you can get some good deals if you know what's hot and not.

I find that the 59th just doesn't work anymore. I've seen tons of Luis Suarez on the 59th on the cheap, only to end up going away over the roof during the dying moments of the auctions, which I assume are purchased by price fixers. 2,000 to 34,000 in a matter of seconds. Gosh.

Your doing the 59th minute method wrong, your supposed to use it for cheap buy nows, not bidding, you wait for an idiot to put a card up far to cheap and snap it up before anyone else sees it.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but is price fixing when one person buys a lot of the same card/players, then puts them up at a higher price?

Yes, but it never works with NIF players because there not rare enough.

I've found that playing a 3-4-2-1 formation is a God-send. I've purchased probably 20 formation cards all for 150 coins. Another thing I noticed was the CAM>CM or CDM>CM cards go for a small fortune.

Also wanted to point out, but dunno if anyone else has come across it... the 85 Team Rating achievement... I got this yesterday. It's the weirdest thing though, I picked up Mario Gomez (86-ST) to replace Anelka (83-ST) figuring that would boost me up from 84 to 85. It didn't. So, in my subs, I switched out Ivanovich (83-CB) for Akinfeev (84-GK) and that boosted it up to 85. So, apparently who you have as subs figures into the rating? Odd.

It can be stopped. All EA need to do is make it so you cant have duplicates in your trade pile. Problem solved.

Yar. Your bench effects overal rating. Its weird though, I had a team rating of 62 for my bronze team. I took out a 64 rated player and put in a 61 and my overall team rating went up to 63.

That wouldn't really work for some cards, such as healing and contracts.

Chemistry is key. Gotta make sure all your starting players like the same formations.

True. But they could do it for players and formation cards.

Again true. But the 64 player I took out was on my bench so replacing a 64 rated sub with someone whos 61, would not alter chemistry.
