Basically would like some thoughts on this game and what its about really?

Is it all Track racing and whats the objective of the career mode?

Is this the best racing game thats going to be released. NFS F1 etc?

cheers

There is no better racing game on the 360.

I think the best way to find out what it's like is the watch video reviews on all the Forza games. That way you see what formed the core of the game and how it's evolved over the years.

It is all track racing, the objective of the career mode is to level up your cars so you get discounted parts, level up your driver, win every event, race at every track,

Forza doesn't have an objective to the career mode in the same way that other racing games do. Career mode is basically several hundred races that have all kinds of different vehicle requirements; things like A-Class cars only, FWD only, Skyline vs. Supra, Ferrari vs. Lamborghini, pre-1974, and all kinds of other stuff.

There's no storyline to the career mode. World Tour mode will tell you where to race and based on the car you want to drive offer you 3 choices of which race to enter. Otherwise you can just go to the full race list and pick whichever one you want.

You get achievements for winning every single race, racing on all the tracks, and so on but there's really no point where the game says "Congratulations, you're the champ". The races are always available and you can do them in any order you want as many times as you want.

Basically, the only real objective to Forza is to choose your favourite cars, upgrade them how you want, tune them how you want, paint and apply vinyls as you want, and race them on your favourite tracks.

I think he meant there's no free roam like in some other racing games. There are other game types but they're all on a race track (aside from car soccer).
