Do you recommend any readable tips on achieving A rank in under 4 hrs 30?

Is there even a reason to watch these videos for an A rank run??? since it still counts the time while you have the game paused, it's literally impossible to do unless you know what your doing for everything.

Honestly the key is memorization. If you can remember where everyrhing is and what enemies are where.

These videos help. They arent meant to be watched at the same time as you can't pause.

It just helps put you in the right direction and give a few tips.

I was going for the A Rank and I did pretty good. But I ran out of herbs and died on my way back to give the guy from the start the medicine.

I need to watch those videos again and come up with a cheat sheat where all the herbs and shit are posted. Then I'll try again and hope I do better.

As for Claires first Battle Game, I finished with 6:16 minutes. I guess thats 6 minutes too long for the A Rank...

Don't know if anyone is interested, but here's a kind of wireframe text guide for you to glance at while playing. Just to kinda tell you where to head when, so you're doing everything in the fastest way possible.
I wrote it while watching these videos, so, it worked well for me, but it may be pretty sucky for others, so sorry if it is. : 3

Is there some quick way to push zombies off of you that I am missing, or is the damage scale higher on the x360 version?

I ask because in the vid this guys seems to get bit/attacked 3x as much as I do before he has to take an herb to heal. Every 3 or so times I am bit/attacked I have to heal. It makes managing the herbs the way he does difficult.

What a bunch of bullshit, I have a horrible memory, there is no way I'm going to do this if the fucking game still counts time when paused. How in the fuck am I going to watch the video pause the game, watch the video some more, pause the game???

This is bullshit to those of us who can't remember what we had for dinner last night. If I can't get this acheivement, I'm boycotting RE6 and the entire series from this moment onward.

Well unfortunately this is the saddest news I've heard. This doesn't help me out any. And why in the fuck would they make it so the game doesn't pause? After watching these vids, I don't agree with squeezing past enemies or the super fast pace this kid does things in.

There absolutely has to be a way to do this while pausing the game and following a written faq. Why would capcom do this to those of us with short term memories? There has to be a way to do this in under 4:30 while killing every enemy and following a written faq.

Please tell me there is a way, as I have no chance of memorizing any of this unless I played through the game literally 30 times or more.

Anyone? Please anwser?

Here's an updated run from the same person on Youtube.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X A Rank Speedrun (2:05:53) - YouTube

The whole video is not actually there, but if you read the description, it'll link to the rest.

Someone else on these boards said they used it, while playing the game and still made it under 4 hours. May give that a try myself.

Edit: So far so good, made it to the Part 2 save with ease. I'm trying to have it so I never have to pause my own game to watch the video, always trying to stay just a step or two behind the video.

I can't believe it, I got to the last 10 minutes or so of the game, only to be smashed by the crystal smasher, so that was a waste of an hour or so.....sigh. Just because the stupid game wouldn't recognize I wanted to place it under the smasher, so it made me keep inching closer and closer to it, until it came down with no warning and killed me!

Playing this game again, makes me realize, I do not miss these older style survival horror games.
Or maybe I just don't really care for Code Veronica, I was pretty unimpressed after finally beating it after all these years a few days back.

It really does not hold a candle to the rest of the main series imo.

Haha I did the same thing as you, crystal smasher made me nervous. Booted it up again straight after and just got my achievement. I used Albel Nox's brief guide rather than a video as I knew roughley where I was going. Clocked in at 2:55

Infinite herb makes this way too easy.
