View Full Version : How to make 100k+ CR and 50kXP a race.

TomTom13G

Many of you that played forza 3 would of know of this method of getting huge amounts of coins just from doing one race but for those of the people that didn't know about it here it is :)

Forza 4 - 100k+ Credits and 50k Xp - In 18 Minutes - Commentary - YouTube

This will help towards the Exclusive taste achievement and also depending on how many times you do this with the same car it will help towards the factory driver achievement.

I Couldn't find any posts about it but if there are any that I missed let me know and I will delete this post :)

For Players that can't find the Layout A track you will need to download the Launch Track Pack which can be found inside your forza 4 case.

+1... I am going to have to try this later and see how much it can jump me. I am at level 25 or 26 so i think i might be able to increase at least 1-2 levels

You know i heard about doing that back in FM3 but never did it... I will this time only because I need the Ferrari Colletor and Exclusive Taste Cheevos before Nov. 8 because after that FM4 might not get much play time for a few months (MW3 will consume me!!)

I'm getting 100,000/150,000cr in the time it takes to do 2 laps.

There's nothing to really explain. Just go into rivals mode pick an event, it will give you a list of the possible times and start setting hotlaps.

For each rival you beat you get credits, the better you are the more credits you get per rival. The only aim is to beat the time of your rival.

Atm they are selling for 100Million+ just to catch the forza 4 money glitchers/modders but once they have finished with all that I expect it to be around 20mil once the game has settled.

To reach affinity lv 4 it took me exactly 24 laps. Tested with an C Class Land Rover, R3 Ruf and R1 Acura.

I've used all the highest difficulty options except I've been manual shifting only, without the clutch option. But since some people say its mileage based it should only matter for the money (55k each race).

Edit: With the De Tomaso Pantera I was a few points short. Maybe I was driving to close on the inside.

Nope if you were to do 10 laps you would make 10-12k this may be 20-22k. (I'm not on the box to check this) I normally do 25 laps just as I'm less likely crash/mess up and I make around the same amount as 50 laps if I do it twice. Will double check tomorrow though :(

Can also do this with damage off and still get the 100k/50kExp, makes it a lot easier to play without more than glancing at once you get the turn in points figured out.

Grinding the BMW R1 car, put it in 3rd and hold right trigger + left. At level 14 now, and it's taking 65k per level. Factory Driver is a long long way off.

Not sure but if your cutting the track on layout E It may think your not completing a valid lap or something on that line.

You can't actually cut the track on E. Short of hitting the inner wall, it all counts as a lap.

I have noticed that if you pick a car that is not in the same class as the AI cars, you get 0cr for the race. So if you were to race S class in a F class car, it would recognise that it's not possible to win and give you nothing for it.

Silly me :P Haven't done the benchmark track in forza 4 and Can't remember what the track was like on forza 3. Your right on if your racing higher classes that it dosen't award credits although I'm not sure if there is a limit for example f to s would have 4 diffrent classes in-between them so if the gap is greater than 4 you don't get awarded credits. The strange thing is I raced against r1 cars as an S class which is a 2 class gap but I got rewarded with the same amount of credits so possibly any race with a 3 or 4+ class gap dosen't award you credits. Strange theory but I'm bored :P

Mohegan13
10-18-2011, 10:47 AM
After making my last post last night I did the benchmark E with all R1 class cars. No credits. Not sure what the issue is, but sometimes it just doesn't want to give credits.

I think sticking with Benchmark A - although more time consuming - maybe the better option overall.

Matt36

Isn't Layout E the circular one?

http://images.wikia.com/fm3/images/b/bb/BenchmarkElayout.jpg

I'm sure that if you try to use the method on that track, it thinks you've not completed a valid lap, which may be why you get no credits.

I'm pretty sure that Layout A is the only variation it works on.

TomTom13G
10-18-2011, 01:08 PM
Just did 10 laps on Layout E following the racing line around for the whole of the race I got 4k CR and 2k XP, I then compared it to layout A (While cutting the track) with the exact same settings and got 18k CR and 10kXP. It's Probably due to you Can't cut layout E to get Credits and also due to the length of Layout A as it expects you to take longer giving you increased credits.

I don't really see the point in doing this "now". Apart from the $$$ you get for both affinity and driver, you can easily unlock driver 50 in the World Tour and for every next level you get at least $100K.

Cars the same, if you have a few cars from same manufacturer, you can do certain "Car Affinity Bonus" races and get anywhere from 500 to 20K per race on top of the XP the race pays. And no, I did not find ANY race yet that takes more than 20 minutes to complete, as opposed to the video in this topic; think 15 minutes is the most so far.

And furthermore, you either contribute to your World Tour or Event List which will give you a steady supply of cheevos & badges along the way.

Thus per hour you can gain:
Car: around 140K depending on bonus & race-type
Driver: 80 to 150K depending on race-type & difficulty & random bonus

Doesn't this give those cr/affinty numbers, per 20mins? Therefore tripling the amounts and for less work?

Having more money to spend on better cars, making World Tour more enjoyable to some people?

With Forza there are two types of players.

Those like me who are in it for the long haul and really don't care how quickly they do anything. Like you, and me, they wouldn't see the point of this. If I still don't have all the achievements a year from now I really don't care, it'll take as long as it takes, this game is too good to worry about achievements.

But the others either just want to finish the game quickly and move onto the next one or want to get all the achievements as quickly as possible and play the game how they want after that. This is for them.

im not even worried about saving up for the ferraris or the 5 most exp cars. ill just be using MS points on those. That will take way too long to save up for, especially since i already screwed up and never picked a ferrari for when i leveled up. luckily the auction house helps out a bit. i got the 330 p4 for 300k instead of the 9mil

How could I forget about this!? I've been playing Forza since the beginning and it totally slipped my mind. I'm going to do this some today to help out on some of the achievements. Just about done with season 10 in World Tour so I suppose I will go ahead and get that achievement before I work on anymore on here. Thanks a bunch though!

To whoever said about Rivals mode, that works too for your money but it also depends on driver skill. Many people (Not myself) will get this game looking to get the achievements and nothing more. When playing the Rivals, it doesn't give you 50K for your car level or driver level so this is a good way to rank up both things and get money you will need later for some achievements.

also does it work if the AI is of lower class than your car?

Yep this works in any car class. If the AI is a lower class i'm quite sure that as long as you come first it gives you the same amount of credits.

am i right:

50 laps with an r1 take about 23min ...
if i want to get the 5 most expensive cars, it will cost 38.000.000 credits ...
when I count exactly, it will take me 152hours or about 6days of driving
to get the 5 cars?!

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Which is why you should finish the other achievements first. You have to get gold in every race anyway, and doing so will get you tons of money. After that you can use this method to get whatever money you still need.

I tried this and it worked - apart from when I got bored and hit the wall.

I used a 22B Impreza and it took about 30 minutes.

The next race I reied was the one with the gates - auto cross or something around the ring.

It took 3 minutes 30 sec or there abouts - I never hit any gates - and I got 23000 Cr and 7500 XP for the car.

So If I did this say ... 9 times ..... 207000 Cr and 67500 XP.

Seems a better bet to me and more involved too.

When you reach Driver Level 30 (of 31) you have the option to choose the Ferrari 330 P4, which is the most expensive car in the game (9.4 mil) so you can just pick up that one for free. :)

wow surprised there is so much interest in this

I am doing bucket list myself ie no hired drivers and will then look at what I have left for affinity level 50. I am near the end of season 9 and have affinity level 22 with bmw. The event list should get me quite a bit closer to affinity 50 and with the odd online race here and there I should be able to get it legit.

I am not criticising people for "boosting" but I wonder when people stopped enjoying playing games and preferred the easy route to achievements.

Funny thing is this actually isn't the easy route to achievements, it makes the whole 1000G process longer. Like you said, getting Bucket List will get you your driver level and will get you pretty far into Affinity level too. Trying to get those before Bucket List really makes no sense at all because it takes days to get them with this method, and those days aren't counting towards Bucket List. This method should be left until you've already gotten Bucket List.

At that level you're also offered the 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe which is also needed for the '5 most expensive cars' achivement. Looking at current prices in the auction house you can pick up the ferrari cheaper than the daytona so you're better taking the daytona as a reward and buying the P4.I's also throw a recommendation out to use rivals if all you want is credits. The monthly drag or top gear challenges are pretty short (10 seconds for the drag, 50 seconds for the top gear one) and with a decent tune you should be able to get into the 50,000 CR bracket. For the Drag event the King Cobra is the car to get. The trick isn't to set your best time, try to just beat your rival and then slowly move up the list. With the drag event, even with loading time and choosing your rival and car it should be 50,000CR every 3-4 minutes.

Exactly what I did!
Got the Daytona (because I like it and don't care about the P4) and bought the Ferrari for 599 000Cr in the auction house! Talk about a bargain!

The trick isn't to set your best time, try to just beat your rival and then slowly move up the list.
Exactly what I do too.
I'm milking the autocross event on Sunset Peninsula, I make around 29 000Cr for 3:20 minutes of play.
Thanks for your tips, I'll try those events.

Dumb question, but can you be banned for doing this? Is there any way for them to catch you?

Why should you be banned for this? It's legal, you just don't drive as fast as you can but relax while racing.

It's not a glitch or exploit in the system so you can't get banned. If it was they wouldn't of put it into forza 4 as they knew about it since forza 3.

I think Turn10's view is "if they are willing to sit there doing circles on their own for 20mins, sobeit". Lets be honest, it is boring.

If you don't mind the loss of credits, I would suggest putting the damage on cosmetic though. My concentration slipped on lap 30, I hit the side of the wall and rolled the car. 73% damage to the gear box, 52% engine and the drive train/axel 42/37%. Fortunately I only lost about 9 seconds per lap (had to keep it in 3rd for the last 20 laps though) so I was still able to lap the AI (barely) but the damage took half my earnings. :(

I was just wondering, as T10 seems to be banning for anyone exploiting glitches of any sort, and so I am just paranoid about it. haha.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking.

and I learned that the hard way too... my first race, I put it on sim damage (The video says Cosmetic damage, but I thought I was too good to need it. haha).... Lap 31 and I smashed against the wall of one of the warehouses, making my car pull very hard to the right. The rest of the race sucked, as I had to constantly fight the car to follow the track (Not to mention the $51k I lost at the end of the race for damages). Now I only use cosmetic damage when I do it.

Except, as has been said several times, this isn't a glitch. A glitch is when the game behaves in a way that is unexpected.

It does get boring after awhile... I did find a way to entertain myself for a few races though. I would change my opponents so that 1-3 of them are a class or two higher then the rest. Then, I'd look for the higher cars every time I got on one of the long straight sides of the track and I'd try to slide into them, or sideswipe them as I passed. My goal being to see if I could help the lower cars beat the more powerful cars. Added about 2 mins to my race, but it was a lot more fun then just doing circles. lol

Sorry. It's still an exploit, and the guy who made the video says that you can be banned for it, in the video. So, I just wanted to know for sure to be on the safe side.

It's not bannable any more than simming the entire game is. You are doing exactly what they intended with the game. You are setting up a legal race and racing the entire thing. All you are guilty off is extreme apexing on the turns.

Personally I would just play career mode as you get plenty of money and enjoy the game for what it is.

But affinity is based on miles driven so the more miles you drive in a shorter space of time the better. Also taking off as many assists as possible and driving against harder opponents increases the take. And if you would be willing to drive around in relatively small circles for money then maybe you could just drive around in bigger circles.

So if you have an R1 car, preferably a Bentley but if you don't have that then pick your R1 with the highest speed ranking. Tune all of it if you can but if not just go in and reduce the aero to its minimum. Then quit out to the menu and benchmark it. Check the top speed and then go back into tuning and look at the gears page. Adjust final drive until top gear lines up roughly with where that top speed was.

Then run benchmark again to make sure it still says a similar speed. Keep doing this until the two speeds are about the same.

Then setup an online private race against at least 1 opponent set to professional difficulty. I do not know if more opponents get you more money or not.

Pick as your track either Indianapolis Oval or Sunset Oval. Maybe try both and pick whichever one you can take the turns flat out which can be a little tricky with low aero.

Turn off all assists. Its up to you if you want full damage or not. Will earn you more cash but if you crash it will cause you a little grief.

You may need to turn traction control back on if you struggle to take the turns.

Run as many laps as you feel comfortable with.

You used to be able to hire a driver for any event list event that had a fixed affinity or driver level bonus but not sure if it has been patched.

PervasiveFall8
10-21-2012, 04:01 PM
It works... its a race, why would it be patched? You're getting credits and XP as intended. I would do 25laps instead of 50 if I was you... it gets old and loss of concentration can have serious ramifications.

** while this is the fastest way... just know that 50k XP is max, so you can do 23ish laps of Road Atlanta, 11 of Road america and 7 of LaSarthe (LeMans)
I assume this is for the leveling up for Horizon reward cars. Benchmark will be the fastest, but the others aren't that far behind in R1 cars add another 10 minutes, but that way it doesn't get so boring.

I was able to get down to 20.556s as my fastest recorded lap time in the 1998 Ferrari #12 Risi Competizione F333 SP. I was able to take the corners and hold them steady at roughly 140MPH-150MPH+ and get up to 175MPH in the straightaways.

I'm doing this but it still takes a lot of time. Finished around 250 laps of circles, went from 19-22. Porsche.

Driving 200-250km/h all around, 22minute 50laps. Porsche Ag 911 GT1-98 (R2 class). Stability: on Collision: Cosmetic. 100k credits, 50k xp. Edit: NVM :) 50k xp per level from 24! 9hrs to go.

Bought my game used but it had codes in it :)
