Does anyone know what 5 cyl cars are available to buy? Or if there is a way to search for this feature. I'm trying to do the 5 cyl. event from the list and do not have a car for it.

Very quickly i know the lexus is200 is a 5 cyl car having had one in the garage i worked. cant load up game right now and cant actually remember if it is in the game.

edit.
Having looked the is200 isnt in the game, but the opponents for the event are ford focus 09 and 06 and the volvo s60 and c30, so get one of those and you should be fine

Right now the only car in my garage that fits the description is the 2009 Ford Focus RS

The Focus RS is the only one I know for sure, awesome car.

If the Volvo C30 is in the game, I think it might be a 5 cylinder too.

The list i posted is from the 'opponents' screen in event select, so unless the ai is not using 5 cyl cars, those 4 are for sure

They are used in Audis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi), Fords (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford), Volkswagens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen), Volvos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_Cars), Land Rover (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover) TD5s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_Defender#Td5_engine) and on some diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz) models, as well as on the Acura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura) 2.5 TL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura_TL) and Vigor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura_Vigor). Recently, General Motors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors) launched a straight-five engine for its popular compact trucks (Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Colorado)). It also powers the Hummer H3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hummer_H3). The engine is part of its Atlas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Atlas_engine) family that also includes four- and six-cylinder versions. Since the Volvo 850 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_850) was introduced in 1992, many Volvos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_Cars) make use of straight-five engines, often turbocharged (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbocharger). Most of Volvo's current model lineup are powered by inline-five engines (naturally aspirated-five, T5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T5_engine), and even D5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_D5_engine)) with exceptions marked otherwise (I6, T6, V8). Volvo engines recently found an application in the Ford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Motor_Company) Focus ST (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Focus_%28International%29#Focus_ST) in which the Ford Focus shares its platform structure with the Volvo S40 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_S40). Volkswagen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen) has used straight-five engines in their Eurovan, and have recently developed a different straight-five engine which is used in the Jetta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Jetta) and Rabbit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Golf) in North America. Audi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi)'s inline-five powered many of the company's bigger models in the 1980s, and was most notably used (in a turbocharged (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbocharger) format) in the Audi Quattro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_Quattro) racing car. Fiat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat) also makes use of a five-cylinder engine (both petrol and diesel) in larger Fiat, Alfa Romeo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfa_Romeo) and Lancia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia) models. Not sure how many of these are in the game, but this list narrows it down slightly.

Just realized the Ur Quattro has a 5 cylinder, can't believe I forgot.

That's definitely my 5-cylinder of choice.

The IS200 wasn't a 5-cylinder, it was a 6-cylinder or 4-cylinder (RS200). Does Toyota even make 5-cylinders?

To the OP: my suggestion would be the Audi TT-RS. I'm not sure what the class limitations are for the 5-cylinder events, so that car may be too good for that class. There's always the Focus RS, the Volvo's (C30, S60R, etc.), and a few other cars you could potentially use though.

I can assure you the car that was at my workplace was an inline 5, I ordered a service kit for the car, and was surprised myself to learn it was a straight 5.

Please prove me wrong. I'm begging you. If the car had a 5-cylinder, it wasn't the factory engine, and I can almost guarantee it wasn't a Toyota motor.

Unfortunately I have no way to prove it right now, as I no longer work there and we are talking 6 years ago. I will do some digging around later and see what i can find though

I honestly hope you do find what you're looking for, because regardless of whether or not it was factory, it sounds like an interesting car.

I've had a quick look around and i cannot find anything so i'll hold my hands up and say i got it wrong. God knows what car it was then! Too much alcohol and too many blows to the head i think are to blame. Sorry for any confusion caused to the OP and others

Do me a favor and try and remember :p Was it FWD, RWD, AWD? At the very least can you remember which way the engine was oriented in the engine bay?

Lol, it was a longditudinally (spelling) mounted, and i think it was RWD, but i am 100% certain it was not a BMW as I detest those cars and would have remembered that. Apart from that my minds blank

You can sort the cars by various criteria including cylinders to find what you need.

if anybody needs a good grip tune for the Audi TTRS i have one in my storefront. i tuned it for cataluna gp but will work on most tracks except for the speed ones obviously. it is an A600 tune.

I did go back and look, and unfortunately the TT-RS is too good for the 5cyl. events. Which is a bummer, because it would be really competitive. My next choice would probably be the Volvo S60R since it's still AWD.
