hey guys, i was discussing with a friend if experienced players use the rewind feature.

In Forza 3 i used it sometimes, bc in longer races with cars I didnt really like (R1 races) i could not resist to use it but felt like I had cheated after I won the race.

So how many of you use it or use it just in races you dont really like?

I have it disabled all together.

i dont like using it cuz its kinda pointless playing it but the simple fact of the matter is id total my car every race without it lol

i like to be aggresive, im like lewis hamilton in a way :P

I used it for some R3 to R1 races in World Tour...since the competition can be brutal if you miss braking in time

I use it rarely, normally when a cpu car has gone off the track then crashes into me when they come back on.

I have it disabled because it gives you a 20% boost in the race rewards

I have it disabled due to the fact that the bonuses are far too great, but I do wish I could use it at times. Some of those crashes are horrible. Really hate coming to the final few turns of the final lap and going from first to fifth, then having to restart the race.

Only when I need to.

I don't use it to boost the bonuses - it's nice getting 160 or 165% extra with all the assists turned off, and I want it to be as realistic as possible since I'm fortunate enough to have a nice wheel and seat setup. I haven't looked through all the events, but I heard that endurance races are gone - that would be the only situation I'd turn it on, because I'd hate to be 50 minutes into a 1 hour race and get screwed by the AI thinking it's a bumper car ride.

I don't use it. If I get rammed off the track on the first turn I'll sometimes restart depending on the race.

I only use it when the AI spins me out :(. But if it is my own mistake then I carry on as normal or just restart the race depending on how far I am in the race.

Reasons I use rewind: Because the AI are idiots and ram you off the track.
Because I hate the track and would rather rewind than do it again - assuming I don't just hire a driver.
During Rivals mode - if I make a mistake or the AI rams me, I will use it to make sure the next lap is clean instead of having to do another full lap just to get a clean run.

I am more the oldschool type who never use it,
i feel it's more like cheating and it ruin the game a little.
Same opinion with the suggestion line and auto brake etc,
it makes this good game way to easy to play and win. :(

I have disable most of thoose options and get 115% more in bonus.

I disable rewind during world tour/event list races so it forces me to concentrate and brings a new level to risk/reward driving.

The only time i use it is in hop laps/practise so i can try any corner, that is catching me out again and again.

i only use it if i really cock something up... mind you if its really early on (within the first lap) i'll just restart cause i've prob been driving like a knob

Never. Disabled.

I don't use this at all. By turning it off, your credit multiplier after each race increases. Seeing as how you need credits for some of the achievements such as buying certain cars, I never race with it on.

Nope, don't use it, actually have it disabled also. Makes your lap dirty when you use it, and the extra bonus is too nice to resist.

No I don't use it and I actually really like that they've put in the option to disable it, that was one of my gripes with Forza 3.

Especially now that it's the Y button. I only had to play the demo for 10 minutes before I wished I could disable it because I kept hitting Y to look backwards.

Exactly my thoughts, I dont like to use rewind but if its a long i race with cars i am not really into i couldnt resist using it.

I am surprised so many have it disabled just for the credits, I have it disabled bc I think "Quicksave" in racing games is destroying the "I accomplished something in winning this race"-feeling.

And for sure 160% bonus is also a nice thing (no clutch damn MS Wheel). :woop:

I only use it for Autocross until I get the achievement then no, the 10% bonus makes all the difference :o)

I use it. Occasionally I'll get some idiot A.I. that T-bones me for no apparent reason. (How was he planning on taking a hairpin turn from the inside lane without braking? lol)

I run with everything else off, so I already get like a 120 or 130% bonus, so the bonus is irrelevant. :)

I use it only if i really really have to. It spoils the game if you use it all the time theres really not much point playing a racing game. If you trade paint with a wall or another car just deal with it and carry on so what if you lose a few places you should be able to pull it back if youre a good driver

10-27-2011, 07:28 AM
90% of the time i have it turned off for the credit bonus (total 150% FTW) and because it feels like cheating but i do use it on some of the R class races simply because the AI is so crash happy.

I'd like to turn it off and reap the extra credits (currently on +90% using manual and limited aids) but the number of ridiculous mistakes I make which usually happen to be on the last lap/last few corners make it worth keeping on and even if not regularly used... Keeps me from failing at life too many times :p

I didn't realise you could turn it off until I came across this thread. Never saw the need for it and I won't be using it, now it's disabled. :)

im not using it nearly as much as i did in F3, and usually i wait until my lap is already flagged or i really screwed up (in which case i probably flagged). most of the time i use it is probably in those stupid traffic challenges since i seem to have no concept of how large my cars are

jAguAr MSPB

I turn it off after the first race and never turned it on again. Always try to do clean rounds, so can't use it in this case. :)

I've used it once so far and on accident twice (don't ask how, I don't know either). The one time was I was near the end of the race and being an idiot getting in front of 2nd place to make him have a hard time passing me and he rear ended me and made me spin out. I learned my lesson at least.

don't use it personally, although I do turn the damage to cosmetic in the traffic races, cant stand those races!:uzi:
