Before anyone replies, this be in the wrong thread, but oh well..

NTIS is the most pointless, annoying, and hardest challenge in the game.
(and thats saying something considering i got gold in every other single player challenge in less than 3 tries after i figured out a strategy.)

But this one? Is imposssible.
Right now im using the Ninja outfit, and Blambows. the max i got was 65...any tips?

Fill your inventory with Hail Mary. There are infinite grenades in the Palisades gun shop and infinite footballs on the bottom floor of the sports store in the Palisades. Use your last inventory slot for the LMG (up on the planter next to the German restaurant in the Yucatan) to pick up the last few once the Hair Maries run out.

I did it my first try without really scoping out the casino layout beforehand. The Hail Mary explosion is pretty massive and will take out a wide radius of chairs.

Actually this is the best idea I've heard for this challenge so far. I was using Super BFGs and I still had problems getting 75.

Having hours of pain retries for gettin gold on this challenge too;

Here's my method mixing other recommendations/guides/strategies:
5x blamblow
2x grenades
1x Blitzkrieg

I started off throwing one grenade to the left and right or where most chairs concentration if possible, without wasting time hop on the blitzkrieg going/combing from left to right then to the front nostop moving and firing as I go, once the shells emptied, again immediately hop off the blitzkrieg (next in your inv should be the blamblows so auto equip) fire at areas where there are chairs... Best score 75 exact... *phew

There were only two videos for this specific challenge. One had a guy run through it with a blitzkrieg, which I couldn't get past 60 chairs using this method. The other had the guy using a full backpack of Blambows. This method eventually *worked* for me, but it was sheer luck that I rolled over to 75. I ended up getting frustrated and posting / talking with both posters and we all had the same exact problems with the challenge. Using the blambow, shots are random. They bounce about and sometimes direct hits aren't kills. And another problem using any weapon was that on occasions [at a seemingly alarming rate I might add you] chairs just wouldn't take damage or break.

The hail mary idea seems like it might work and I'll possibly give it a try when Co-Op comes around. Speaking of, has anyone here attempted the co-op version of this mission? How bad is it scaled, if at all?

From what I heard it's 100. Not as hard really.

I might try the hail mary option.. its my last hope in ever getting this challenge Gold.. I got up to 66 with the wheelchair, but then I went to go back and try it again, the chair could move, but the guns wouldn't operate, so yea it would have done that last minute with me on the challenge before hand if I had extra time..

I used the Hail Mary method in co-op also, and we crushed it on the first try, same as single player. I didn't even have to use my backup weapon (which was the Super BFG since he had the LMG). At the end I was just doing the elbow drop onto chairs for fun because we'd already reached gold.

When I did it in single player I did have to use the LMG for the last bunch of chairs. It's got 200 shots so you can really spray and pray to take out quite a few chairs at the very end.

i used the blam bow, its really all about picking the right areas to fire into, the yellow chairs towards the arena the tables near the silver strip exit and the bar are key spots to getting it up, if i failed i jut reloaded the checkpoint and had all my invent back.

Glad I could help! :)

Just one other note to anyone using the Hail Mary method, make sure you've got decent health before you start. I exploded half of the bombs in my face when I was doing it (but still had enough time to get 75 chairs).

oh hi there i didn't notice at first cause of your name not being your live one lol 3/4 weeks till saints row 3 :P.

It also helps if you do a little trip around the area so you know where the best spots are for chairs, helps loads.

Very easy method. I got a Gold with 40 seconds to spare.

Well, I guess that's that. Remote mines FTW. I'd maybe bring an LMG for the last batch of chairs but jumping on them seems to do the trick. Very nice strategy!

Wow, he almost got the co-op total all by himself (need 100 for the Co-Op version)! :uzi:

Definitely gonna try this method tonight. Didn't even know this game had mines like that.

Thanks for the instructions & video.

This sounds like a lot of fun! I'll probably use it on my Co-op run.

Oh man, I wish I knew about using Hail Marys. It took me a good 7-8 tries with Blambows before I gave up on it and resorted to claymores and LMG. Even then I still cut it close with the last few chairs.

I cannot recommend this method enough. Once you get the placement of mines correct getting the gold is fairly easy.
