View Full Version : Would you trade the multiplayer for an extra 30 hours of single player content?

Hypothetical question, I know. I would, because the single player is what AC runs on. The multiplayer, to me, anyways is raw at best.

Oh hell yes, but then again i would trade my left nut for an extra 30 hours on most games;)

Sure. I'm not that interested in the multiplayer. I haven't even touched it on Brotherhood and most likely won't on Revelations.

I would. I don't play multiplayer in any games too much, so hypothetically speaking, I would trade multiplayer for the 30 hours of single player gameplay.

I'm getting sick of games having MP, just because they figure they should. The MP normally turns out for shit and then you get no one playing online mere weeks after release, and now all those cheevos that are MP only are wasted.

Nope, SP and MP is essential to the success of a game IMO.

Extra 30 hours? I think each game needs to be the right length, depending on the type of game. You don't want something too long cuz then you're just wondering when you'll get to the end, and it's much harder for developers to come up with the variety and story to fill all that time.

AC:B was just about right. I wouldn't want to spend 30 extra hours hunting down feathers, and I doubt they could add 30 hours of campaign while still maintaining the flow and momentum of the story. As it was, I thought the back-in-time side sequences with his girlfriend was a gimmicky tack-on.

I quite enjoy the multiplayer on AC:B. But I hope they've upgraded it, added new features to MP in Revelations, I don't want a carbon copy of Brotherhood.

I would trade the multiplayer for the extra length that would bring Revelations up to the length of Assassin's Creed II.

jules the great

absolutely!!!!! This game never needed a MP aspect, it was fine with the Single player campaign.

Assasins creed Sp is BRILLIANT, when the developer says they arnt taking anything away from that by developing Mp are idiots. we would all be just as happy with more Sp & no Mp

The addition of Mp is just to market easier downloadable content & turn a higher profit.

Which annoys me, we were all drawn to Assassins creed for the STORY, then they add Mp & tell us all to like it if we want all the achievements.

Frankly the Mp doesn't hold a candle to the Sp, however it isn't terrible, just i wish they would devote less time to it.

yes cos ac was always made for single player i thought that multiplayer sucked in bh

10-25-2011, 12:59 AM
I would trade it for as little as 5-10hrs. This game didnt and still doesnt need multiplayer. Perhaps they should have focused on some type of co-op mode instead

10-25-2011, 01:04 AM
i feel like 30 hrs would just draw the story line on and on. but maybe 10-20hrs for the main story/some side quests. but, i get what you mean so i voted yes.

10-25-2011, 01:06 AM
Definitely not. What happens after those extra 30 hours of campaign are completed and dusted off? You're left with a game that you've already finished and thus has no replay value. The multiplayer is a new experience every match (for me, at least; I highly enjoy it).

AC Is Dope With Just the Storyline

Nope! I love the multiplayer. I can't wait for Revelations. The MP looks even more immense.

Hells yeah!

I'd trade in the whole MP for even 30 mins of extra SP! :p

10-30-2011, 11:30 AM
Yeah I would for sure :p

10-30-2011, 11:57 AM
Brilliant question hell freaking yes I would I mean I kinda hated the multiplayer in brotherhood, assassins creed is made for singleplayer only!

10-30-2011, 01:48 PM
HELL YEAH. I'd swap it in a heartbeat.
In fact, I'd even ditch the MP for 15 minutes of extra SP gameplay.

10-30-2011, 04:59 PM
Wish they'd do a second disk for MP like they did with ODST. I like to play both, I'd like the story to be longer and MP to still be there. Guess I'm just greedy lol

I would easily. I hate how a lot of games feel they NEED to add multiplayer to their games to be successful. There are SP games and MP games. Leave them separated and save us the grief of missing MP achievements due to ridiculous requirements.

11-04-2011, 07:33 PM
I would trade it in for an extra 30 seconds in the form of shitty easter egg and the 200 MP achievement points becoming SP...

Hate this shit of everything having multiplayer, just takes resources away from single player imo.

11-06-2011, 12:38 AM
I think 30 hours is a bit too much to ask seeing as that's double the length of the campaign haha, but I would definitely trade multiplayer for another 10 or so hours of single player. And I LOVE the multiplayer.

you'd trade a third of your manhood for 30 hours of sitting in a room playing a video game? damn thats one gamer...
