I play on Superstar, it just seems like the most realistic one to me, when I first get any NBA game I play on the Default difficulty just so I can get used to the game, then I switch after about 5-7 games!!

Yes still my 1st, I don't have all that much time to really play games, because I balance my time out for games with 2K12, and MW3, plus I am still in highschool, so I always get piled with homework. I also play Basketball a lot, so I go to the gym pretty much right after school, and don't get done till about 8-9 at night, then I have homework to do!

I've decided to not continue with My Player until the opening day rosters are set. And I kept on getting annoyed of seeing "franchise" players getting traded. Yeah like OKC is gonna trade Durant or Chicago is gonna trade D-Rose. I had Miami trade both LBJ & Bosh on one of my players.

you can edit the rosters before u start my player to give the team u want no trade clauses so they will stay with you

Averaging 5 points a round, 44 games into the season and I'm only 64.

No idea why I suck but I keep getting out on LeBron, Rondo et all, can't get shots to stick and the CPU loves waiting til the half court timer runs out just to give it to the guy I'm on so he can ruin my teammate grading.

Game makes me so damned angry but I am determined to become awesome at it. Having similar difficulties with FIFA 12 but they're both my first ever proper sims ports games.

Is there a good basic guide somewhere?like, really basic? I finished the training challenges but it still doesn't help.

Just got my SF to an 81 rating and averaging 35 points a game, had many games over 50 points

when I was at 75 I was only getting around 10 points a game a missing a ton of buckets

so keep it up till you can get that rating to 80 and suddenly you'll notice a major difference

I'm currently coming up on my second season as a Shooting Guard for the Houston Rockets. First season, we went 42-40 just missing the playoffs as the 9th seed. I achieved rookie of the year behind Kyrie Irving with 25 Points Per Game.

For sport games, I like things to be very realistic. Therefore, I play 12 minute quarters with realistic sliders. 2k is one of the few games that I keep coming back to play when I'm not in the mood for collecting achievements.

Anyways, good luck on your My Player OP.

I didn't think you could change game sliders in My Player?

I'm much happier now, started a new player "Shooter McGavin" a 6'5" 3PT-specialist. Rating is only 69 and I'm in the 2nd season but I've also just replaced Steve Nash as PG for the Pheonix Suns.

Averaging just under 20PPG, 3RB, 2AS, 1.6ST. Absolutely NFI how OP was on 80 by end of first season and averaging 45PPG? Do you do youtube tutes at all? Are you using the MyPlayer boosting method from this forum (neuter all other teams sliders)?

im in my first season as a 6ft11in pf i average 17.2 ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.1bpg, i am a 75 overall rating in my first season i play for the lakers and we have the best record for the west,
as the season goes on im constently scoring more points grabbing more boards and sending peoples shots to the 5th floor, but i got injured and i think that dq me for running for the scoring title and all that stuff idk
but nice job on your first season,
any pointers you can give me to earn more skill points?

I'm in my 3rd season as a 6'5" PG for the Lakers. We're the defending champs, and I'm killing the MVP voting. I'm at an overall rating of 84, averaging 32 pts, 9 ast, 5 rbs & 4 stl.

Despite these numbers, I noticed that I would fall to 2nd or even 3rd in the MVP race sometimes, so I just decided to make sure I win by setting "sim quarter length" to 1 min. No more creeping up on my scoring title, Durantula!

I started my first career as PM, 60 overall, and drafted 16th by 76ers.
I have already played 24 matches and still being a 62 overall.
Do you suggest to set quarters length to 12 minutes to increase points per game?
My ppg now is really bad, just 5.6, and rating is never higher than B- (when I'm lucky).
So after every game I just get about 200-300 skill points.

Any suggestion for me please?

I am playing almost all games in my second season.... I simmed most of the first.

I have about 16 games left, I think im 56-10 or something close to that.

I am a 93 overall right now, Athletic PG. 99 3PT, 99 Dunking, 99 Ball Security, 99 Passing. Steal and On Ball defense are 99, and my consistency is also a 99.

My guy catches fire and it is fairly fun when he does. One game I hit 9 3PTs in a row before I missed my first one. I'll call for a screen and use it to give him an open look.

My season average is 47 Pts per game. 6 Boards, 14 assist and 12 steal. I average nearly 2 blocks a game.

My goal is to get the MVP this year, so I have the "checked" off for the hall of fame. Then basically sim through the entire next season so I can get my 10M contract.
