That was b4 i came to this site, and now with 2 weeks open (two worlds push back :( ) and it being fairly cheap now at GS i want a true opinion. An opinion from people who enjoy a good rpg, how does it stack up to my favorite rpg FFX. Any imput would be great cause i want to pick it up on my way home from work in a couple of hours. Thanks guys.

*Attempts to step down from his throne and faints*

I'm okay... just blacked out there for a second. Easily by the Guide, multiple threads, and Golem Challenge you can see I'm not going to slightly be partial in my review so I'll let others tell you their opinions.

With that said OMG is this game awesome, it is easily my favorite game on 360. Other than the sheer amount of random battles (which you eventually get use to and at some point enjoy and need) this game is an awesome traditional turn based RPG and this is from someone who typically (or at least until now) didn't enjoy turned based RPGs.

You start with a typical weak party and Golems (creatures created to do tasks from make pizza to destroy cities) An evil power is awakened causing the Golems to go crazy and you must journey to find the cause of this problem and in the process what it has to do with your Enchanted Arm. As you progress you get some really great Golems, most often from defeating them, but some you can buy at the casino and others are given to you as rewards for exploration. You can collect and use these Golems online to battle other folks and their Golems.

From start to finish the game is fun to play and if you can find a decent player online the battles can be quite fun and entertaining... something like a 30 minute chess match with flashing Golems. If you do get it once you've finished the game and have a decent set of Golems give me a shout... and I'll take it easy on you.

I've edited my post and LMAO about Joe not responding to you. Funny thing about that is Enchanted Arms is the first game Legion and I played together.

I would say it is. I bought mine at Eb games for like 14 dollers, and play it alot. But it is more of a stragty game.

That is great that you love it so much, gets me excited a lil :D How many hours am i looking at story wise here and how is the fighting system. Like is it simple and easy to understand or is it complex but extemely good? though it is the last thing on my list with this game since i play more for the enjoyment for the game rather than achievements, how are the achievements in this game. Are they easy with a guide, decent and fun to get, or near impossible to get a high number in? Thanks for your time bro.

I would say it is. I bought mine at Eb games for like 14 dollers, and play it alot. But it is more of a stragty game. That's what I meant buy the comment of when you're playing online (or in the Holy Beast Shrine for that matter) it sort of becomes like a chess match of sorts. Each Golem and character has an alignment to Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Dark, or Light. Attacking a Water Based character with a Fire Based Character will do double damage points. Then you have healers, protectors, people who poison (which if unchecked will cause you to lose 10% of your health per round), people who can cure, people who can power up, etc. So it's especially fun to play a game against someone with a variety of Golems or someone with no variety at all. I can't tell you how many times I've fought people who had super powered Golems and I played with weak little characters. But because of their setup you can stick their players with Gravity, then they can't move and because they have no one on their team that can cure they are just stuck in that space. Then you poison them and move out of range of their attacks and just wait and watch them die. Ohh how I love that game.

Just saw your post after posting... the fighting system is simple to get into and use. You'll be able to breeze through most of the game without much trouble. That is until you reach each of the Devil Golems which all offer a different challenge. At this point you'll either need some super powered Golems, or you'll need to really get into the fighting system and know when for example you're fighting someone with a healer on their side, you might need a Golem to change their alignment from Fire to Water thusly negating the healing factor. You can also bring in someone to power up your party to essential do 4x the damage. This of course won't work if they are using someone to protect them which may reduce your damage inflicted by 50% thusly negating your power up and or alignment change. At which point you need to bring in someone that can destroy an HP barrier, etc, etc.

As for the achievements they're all tied to the story and impossible to miss (accept for the last one). Without giving any of the story away there is a part in which you must fight a friend and if you kill him you won't get the last achievement for 150 points, so just make sure you aren't skipping the dialogue and kill him by accident.

I have a feeling we will be playing two worlds together but i will be willing to play this in between :D For sure and I play this game at least a few times a week to answer challengers and keep my #1 spot on the leaderboards. If you don't play for an unknown amount of time they remove you and your records from the leaderboard... a painful thing I found out when I didn't play for 3 months during the GSL Season 3 if I had played just once a week my beautiful 565 W - 0 L record would still be there :(

The game isn't to bad. Not as good as Oblivion and definatly between getting this and lets say Two Worlds(when it comes out) I would get Two Worlds. The game is kinda onler now but if you want it get it. It isn't a terrible game but the golem thing gets a little old.

I was always wanting to play you. I remememebr you being high on the leader boards for that game when I had it but where you and are you first? I thought I would have some sort of a chance winning against you though. If I still had my saves so I could use my majorly high golems I would buy the game again just to beat you.lol

Honestly if they made a second game I would buy it for sure but it would be nice if they had multiplayer achievements that would have been great.

Whenever you want a match just shoot me a message, I'm always up for a Golem Battle. As for my current standing at last check I was #2 in Truskill, #2 in Wins and #1 in win % at a perfect 100%.

The guy that is currently at the top of the wins leaderboard boosted to get there. He has his Golems at exactly level 80 and only plays matches where you can join if you are level 80 or below. Thusly ensuring that he goes first. He then uses the cheap Omega & Apo setup which is just girlie gay.

He did make the mistake of challenging me though with his little Omega toy which Legend Killer aka Lapis, Cye of Torrent aka Divine Turtle, Pandora, aka Aliabard and Kristin aka Folly Carol quickly destroyed. Nice to know that five of his seven losses are because of me.

Nice wreckon, how many wins does he have on you by the way. Im just wondering but win% imo is more important so congrates on being an online badass ;) Thanks for getting me excited bout this game, so far its excactly what i wanted from it granted im not that far in cuz of SR :D I can see my self getting really deep into this game and trying to master the battle system. Im going to enjoy the shit out it so thanks :woop:

I don't even know at this point I haven't played it in a week or so. What he did was he played against a friend that just let him beat him over and over. You can get a match done pretty quickly so he shot up 100 wins in a day. At first it really bothered me because so few people play the game that it's tough to get matches and it would take forever to catch him... then I played him and found out how he got that many wins and realized he sucked. So even though it may say # 2 in wins he and I both know he couldn't defeat even one of my Golems on a bad day. I even extended an offered for him to join my Golem Challenge for a shot at a free copy of Two Worlds to which he replied "No I'm never playing you in ranked again... my win % keeps going down" such a nub.

What, he wont even defend his #1 spot against you. That is bullshit, were the hell is peoples sense of honor anymore :(

Wreckon Dracgon

No he won't even fight me at all in a ranked match. As I said he plays with level 80 Golems and then makes matches where you can't join unless you are 80 or below. The first time I had to go get my memory card to find a save with Golems below 80 just to fight him. I typically use my Golems save where they are between level 100-120 but it's not to use those high level Golems it's because it's my most well rounded save file. I have a great mix of all types and decent power levels to have a great fight. But because the save has a level 115 Golem it won't let me join his matches. I've had countless friends ask if I'd like them to help me boost matches to get my wins title back but as I said he and I know who should really be #1 and that's good enough for me... he's the onen with the seven in the loss column.

This is a fun game and I enjoyed playing it very much. Also a easy 1000 just time consuming.

Very enjoyable storyline with characters that you grow to love. It is worth the buy if you chose to buy it. Great RPG.

Not a very good RPG in my mind, but alot of other people in the other threads seem to think it is. I rented it and took it back after about an hour. by far the worst game I have ever played

You should never judge an RPG (specially a JRPG) on its beginning...

Hes right.

"never judge the book by its cover"

While I think Lost Odyssey is better, Enchanted Arms will probably run you only $20 now, or possibly even less, and I did really enjoy the game, so it's certainly worth getting now.
