The achievements are not a struggle, although do include playing through every level, possibly a few times each. There are a few achievements that are easier with friends, and a few that require an Xbox Live connection.

Released on May 2, 2012 for 800 Microsoft Points.

Single Player
The single player consists of 8 total levels, each with a regular Albion version and a Dark Albion version. Each level lasts about 9-12 total minutes and culminates in a large battle or mini-game. Completing the game for the first time in Albion, will unlock the Dark Albion board, where you can go through a slight variation of the game for a second time.

The game is straight forward, and you shouldn’t encounter any major roadblocks. There are videos of each level linked within the achievements in case they are needed. “The Credits” level is the last level unlocked, and “The Cloud” is unlocked as of May 5th, 2012, when the community reached a certain amount of gold.

Otherwise, you are asked to progress through each level of Albion normally, on any difficulty. After this, you are to go through the Dark Albion campaign, and have to do one specific task per level. See the individual achievements for more details. Use the same character to make progress towards the “Rule the Dice” achievement.

During your progression, you should unlock most of the miscellaneous achievements along the way involving characters, board tiles and mini-games. You can revisit levels if you miss anything.

Multiplayer
There is potential for the game to be played with a total of 4 players online, or locally. It is not necessary in any way for achievements, but it might help along the way for some achievements. A connection is needed to unlock "The Cloud" level, which will affect a total of 5 achievements. The 4-player team (Better When Shared) achievement can be accomplished online or locally with 4 controllers. Also, if you are struggling with "Fast & Furious", we recommend doing it with a friend online, see the solution for more information. There are also leaderboards which can be used to check your scores within single player levels.

Conclusion
Not a spectacular game, but there is some fun to be had here. Achievements are straight forward, and not very difficult. The game isn't too long, and you are able to gain gold for Fable: The Journey, which is being released later in 2012.

If you like Fable, simple hack-and-slash games, or easy gamerscore, then you should probably get this game.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPiRxeM=.jpgRolled the Dice - 5:gsicon:
Visit a tile on the Abilities Board. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

You will unlock this after completing your very first level. Assuming you got enough gold (very easy) to unlock a die, you will go to the board and be asked to roll your die. Once you do, your character will move, and you will gain this achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP0zLho=.jpgBetter When Shared - 5:gsicon:
Complete a level as part of a four-player team. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

This can be done using 4 total controllers in an offline game. Choose FAMILY DIFFICULTY, and connect all 4 controllers (most instruments work as well), and then choose a character for all controllers. Now just select any of the quick mini-games, such as chicken bomb, and let the controllers sit. Once the level ends, you will get the achievement.

Alternatively, you can do this with a few players online. Please view the Achievement Trading Thread (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=368079) for players.

Note: All players must be signed in from the beginning to the end of the level.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPzT1ok=.jpgCast Party - 20:gsicon:
Unlock all the playable characters. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

http://s1.hubimg.com/u/6532180_f1024.jpg

There are 6 total player to unlock:

Hero unlocks Lucien
Hammer unlocks Scythe
Reaver unlocks Ben Finn
Garth unlocks Maze
Jack of Blades > Complete Dark Albion Credits level
Sir Walter > Complete Albion Credits level
Gabriel & Theresa > Play Fable: The Journey (Not necessary)

You must purchase 4 of the characters on the ability board, by landing on the green tile on the top of the board and purchasing them using 15,000 gold, with each puppet.

Note: It is not necessary for you to buy Fable: The Journey for this achievement, contrary to speculation.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP7y3zw=.jpgRule the Dice - 10:gsicon:
Purchase all abilities for one puppet. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

The easiest way to get this achievement is to pick a character that you like, and keep using them, for the whole game. After each level, you will roll some dice and land on abilities on the board. Your goal is to purchase all these abilities for 1 character. Keep in mind that each tile has a few purchases, so you are asked to land on each tile a few times. Just keeps playing and you will eventually (with some luck as well) be able to purchase every upgrade available for your character.

Note: The currency used is the gold you collect in the game, so a good amount of gold will be needed.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP8SJ68=.jpgBully - 5:gsicon:
Kick a hobblet, then shoot it out of the air. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

First off, choose "Reaver", and make sure to unlock the "Kick Hobblet" ability. This ability is located on the red tile on the left hand side of the board, and only costs 500 gold.

Once you have this ability for Reaver, go to the Hobbe Caves level, and proceed to the draw bridge. Here, just use the A button to kick one of the hobblet enemies, and immediately press X to shoot your gun still pointing in their direction. This will cause the enemies to be shot out of the air, and you will unlock this achievement.

If you miss, keep trying a few times, and if you get too far in the level, you can always just restart it.

Note: Ben Finn also works for this achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPw1M6E=.jpgVeg Head - 5:gsicon:
Hit an enemy with its own head. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

Load up the "Survival!" mini-game under Gravestone. Now just wait until you see an enemy throw his head in your general direction. Now just run over to it, and make sure to kick it back, using :abut:, at that same enemy. There is a little bit of trial and error involved here, but after a few attempts, there shouldn't be much of a problem. You can view the video for some more info.

You can also get it on the Mistpeak level of the Albion board, mid-way through the level when the snowmen through their heads at you. AI gets in the way a little bit more using this method though, and takes a lot more time for extra opportunities.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP3VyzI=.jpgTraitor - 5:gsicon:
Kill a Hobbe while disguised as a Hobbe. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

Throughout the levels you come across some chests with a ? above them. Use :abut: to open them, and you will usually be given a random power-up. One of those power-ups is “Hobbe Disguise”. Once you get this, your character will change costume, and disguise himself as a hobbe. Now, just try to find an enemy that classifies as a hobbe, and kill them to unlock the achievement. Don’t worry if you missed out the first few times, you will get many chances throughout the game.

I personally got this in Gravestone, although it is available in many levels.

It also appears often during the Gravestone boss battle (choose the right-hand path).

Note: It is possible to get this power-up in sections with no hobbes.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP5rJvM=.jpgCan't See the Future - 5:gsicon:
Complete a 'Challenging' level in 'No HUD' mode. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

This achievement isn't as hard as it may seem. Just select the "Challenging" difficulty, and your characters. Once on the game board, press Start, then Help & Options, and then Game Mode Options. Turn on "No HUD Mode", and select any level. You can also turn on another option if needed for another achievement. Now just complete the level, and earn the achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPxKL0Y=.jpgOne Down - 5:gsicon:
Buy all abilities on a single tile. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

After each level, you will visit the game board, rolling die to move your character around the board to unlock abilities.
This achievement really just comes with time and luck, but once you are able to land on the same space at least 3 times, and you purchase all of the upgrades for that tile you will unlock this achievement.

Just continue to roll the dice, and buy whatever you can on the space you landed on!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP2q19U=.jpgPuppet Beats Chicken - 10:gsicon:
Complete the Chicken Bomb Mini-Game without getting hurt. This unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

After progressing through the first level, Millfields, choose the right-hand side path to do the Chicken Bomb! mini-game. It is recommended that you do this with 3 AI players, to avoid wasted time and effort, unless you and your friends want to take turns getting this achievement. Your objective is to win without being hit, but don't worry, if you fail, you can choose to play the mini-game again at any time. This achievement isn't too bad, just remember that the more the chickens are flasher, the closer they are to exploding!

My tips are to just use the B button to roll, in a circle, on the outside of the arena, avoiding any of the chickens until everyone else is eliminated, and you are left standing.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPgIPCw=.jpgFast & Furious - 5:gsicon:
Complete the Mine Cart Mini-Game in under 13 seconds. This unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

One of the more frustrating achievements in the game. If you are struggling to unlock this the normal, and constantly getting a very close time, but not quite there, you're in luck.

Firstly, to unlock the mini-game complete the Hobbe Caves level, and choose the right hand side path.

Now you have 1 of 3 options:

Do the achievement normally. (can be frustrating)
If you have a turbo controller, you can try using it for the achievement. Certain brands will do the trick, but some won't.
If you have a friend who has unlocked this mini-game, have them start an online session and invite you. Have them set it up so that the characters are in inside the carts, and waiting for them to choose "I Understand!", right before the race. Now join their game (using his invite) and have them start the race anywhere between 7-22 seconds (depending on connection speeds) AFTER you accept the invite. You will join DURING the race, and will be added halfway through. Your timer will start from when you join allowing you to easily register times under 13 seconds. If your friend starts too early, you will join after the race ends. If your friend starts too late, you will join before the race begins. This may take a few tries for you to nail down the timing, but this is the easiest way if you are struggling. Just adjust the time your friend waits to start the race accordingly. Thanks to user DarkThom (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/member.php?u=7504) for this tip!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPnoxL8=.jpgWorld Champion - 20:gsicon:
Achieve a Gold Medal in every level. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

The best strategy is to play the game until you unlock all the abilities with one of your characters, and unlock as many of the other achievements as possible, to "unlock inner tiles". At this point, your character will be moved into the inner tiles of the ability board. Here, when you roll the die and land on a tile you can buy perks that will grant you special abilities for 1 level. These will greatly help you increase the chance of getting gold on the levels. Once this happens, start replaying levels to get the gold grades.

Tips:

Make sure to use 3 longed ranged puppets with almost no abilities as your teammates, allowing you to collect the most gold as the main player.
The best perks to get are Coin Magnet, +1 multiplier, and not losing multiplier for being hit. If you can manage all 3 for the same level, you are basically set for gold.
Mini-games give 5,000 gold in Albion and 10,000 in Dark Albion. Keep these in mind when deciding between paths. Boss paths often give less than mini-games, but if you are too short, they are worth a try.
Break objects (like fences and boxes) to keep your multiplier strong.
Use extra controllers. This method will take longer, but for every controller you add, you'll be adding additional gold for your main character to play. Adding 3 idle controllers will literally give you all the gold, assuming you have the right perks.

Below are the levels and the goals you need to reach for the Gold medal:
Level/Light/Dark
Millfields: 30K/60K
Gravestone: 25K/40K
Misspeak: 40K/70K
The Cloud: 65K/90K
Hobbe Cave: 45K/65K
Bowerstone: 50K/35K
Aurora: 60K/90K
The Credits: 55K/70K

Note: We recommend to keep track of your scores and medals yourself. It can nearly impossible to decipher between different medals on the Dark Albion board. You can also view the leaderboards to see what the highest score you gained was and compare it to the values needed using :ltbut: and :rtbut:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPtaMnA=.jpgHeroes of Dark Millfields - 20:gsicon:
Complete Millfields in Dark Albion without being hit!

This achievement is easily done with 3 AI players on normal (or even family) difficulty. Just select one of the long range characters, like Reaver, and stick to the back as much as possible, shooting your gun at enemies from afar. If any enemies get close, just use dodge :bbut: to roll as far away as possible. It helps to have as many upgrades as possible for all characters, including yourself.

At the end of the level, choose the right hand side path, as the chicken mini-game is easier than the boss. Getting hit during the chicken mini-game still allows you to get the achievement!

Note: If you unlock the Inner Board and get lucky enough to get the invisibility tile perk, choose this level and stay back. You will not get attacked.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPjk37E=.jpgHeroes of Dark Gravestone - 20:gsicon:
Complete Gravestone in Dark Albion with Big Heads mode enabled!

This achievement isn't as hard as it may seem. Once on the game board, press Start, then Help & Options, and then Game Mode Options. Turn on "Players Heads Are Big", and select Gravestone in Dark Albion. Now complete the level.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPrF1gQ=.jpgHeroes of Dark Mistpeak - 20:gsicon:
Complete Mistpeak in Dark Albion with a Perk activated!

After you have fully upgraded a character you will move to use the inside track of the abilities board, where each tile gives you a temporary 'perk'. Before playing Dark Mistpeak play something short like the sled or minecart mini-game, and when you land on one of the inside tiles buy the perk. Then immediately start a match on Dark Mistpeak. Simply complete the level and the achievement will unlock.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UPslLpc=.jpgHeroes of Dark Hobbe Caves - 20:gsicon:
Complete Hobbe Caves in Dark Albion and finish in first place!

Easily done with 3 AI players. Just play through the Hobbes Caves level in Dark Albion, on normal difficulty. Make sure you have the most gold at the end of the level, and you will unlock the achievement.

Tips: If you are struggling, try smashing extra crates, as well as fences for extra gold. Try to pick up any coins you can, as the AI doesn't use them as a priority. You can also buy abilities through the abilities board for your character, that will increase the amount of gold you attain, as well as your multiplier.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP6HxW4=.jpgHeroes of Dark Bowerstone - 20:gsicon:
Complete Bowerstone in Dark Albion on Challenging and without dying!

See “Heroes of Dark Hobbe Caves” for tips. Same rules apply, just make sure to be on "Challenging" difficulty.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP9nPf0=.jpgHeroes of Dark Aurora - 20:gsicon:
Complete Aurora in Dark Albion and use at least three Power-Ups!

Easy achievement, if done by yourself with 3 AI players. Just play through the Aurora level, in Dark Albion, and use a total of 3 chests, that result in a power-up. You should have 3 by the final boss battle, and can easily get an additional few during the Sentinel battle.

If doing this with friends, just communicate, making sure to share the chests, and it's possible for all players to get the achievement too!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2267/UP1GNEg=.jpgHeroes of The Dark Credits - 20:gsicon:
Complete The Credits in Dark Albion and smash 20 Lionhead developers!

After completing the last main level of the Dark Albion single player campaign, called “Aurora”, you will unlock the “The Credits” level. During this level, you will proceed through as any other level, and there will be floating names in the background. As you are going through the level, just go up to a name, and use the main attack (:xbut:) a few times to destroy it. Do this 20 total times, and you will gain this achievement once the level ends.

Once on the game board, press Start, then Help & Options, and then Game Mode Options. Turn on "Players Heads Grow with Coin Pickup", and select the "The Cloud" level. Play through the level until your head grows big enough to "POP". Once this happens, you will need to finish the level to unlock this achievement.

What's the "no HUD" mode? Is it a setting or something I need to unlock? I'm still playing through Dark Albion so I'm not too busy unlocking that achievement, but it's nice to know how to get it.

If you pause the game and go to Help & Option there should be a option for Game Mode Settings. In there you can choose No HUD mode along with a few other fun things. Hope That helped.

Good start mate. I'm better off giving more info on stuff tomorrow when it's not late and I'm at a pc rather than iPad ;).

For the kick/shoot hob be achievement I'm 99.9% sure it has to be with a gun usable character. I've tried it with both Lucian (?) and Garth and their attacks after kicking a Hobblet are not unlocking. I've just not unlocked the move with Reaver yet to give it a go.

Must be a gun or its just buggy i tried with Garth and Maze for a while doing it multiple times but when i tried a gun user i got it first try.

What's a Perk? I tried opening a chest right before the Lava Troll died in Dark Mistpeak and got Tiny Hero, but nothing happened when it ended. I assumed a power-up was a perk, or is a perk a specific type of power-up (like.. slow time).

Perk is an ability bought from the inner board of the skill game which can be accesed when one character has bought all of his skills. When purchased it lasts for one level then is gone.

i dont know if anyone has cast party yet but isnt this another achievement that breaks the rules, just like lionhead did with the fable: pub games achievement tie in?? you have to unlock all characters but one is unlocked through fable: the journey meaning 400/400 is impossible without purchasing that game?

Edit: it's two characters not one.

Also a small thing i think its 100,000,000 not 1,000,000,000 im pretty sure.
The top 100 players need 1 million gold each.

Heroes of The Cloud - 10:gsicon:
Complete The Cloud in the world of Albion.

This level unlocks when the top 100 player reach 1,000,000,000 total gold.

Nope what he said is correct, you need the top 100 people to have 100million each, im only on 2 million and ranked like 34 lol, gonna take some time for this to happen

You dont need the Fable The Journey characters to get this achievement.

4 characters through buying for 15k gold a piece Scythe, Maze, Ben Finn, and Lucien
2 characters from finishing The Credits Level in both Light and Dark albion Sir Walter, and Jack of Blades and then achievement unlocks.

glad to know, was worrying as when i was selecting a character it said unlocked on fable: the journey on two. thanks.

Anyone actually know how to get gold on the levels? And whether or not you have to get gold on both regular and dark Albion for the achievement? As far as I can figure, you get golds by first maxing out a character to get all the various money buffs. Then you get the 6X multiplier and hopefully the "multiplier doesn't drop if you get hit" perks from the inner board and play a level. With all of that on, gold should be a piece of cake.

The trouble and pain in the ass is going to be getting the 6X/multiplier-saving before every level you attempt, especially if you have to do both light and dark worlds.

If you have a friend who has unlocked this mini-game, have them start an online session and invite you. Have them set it up so that the characters are in inside the carts, and waiting for him to choose "I Understand!", right before the race. Now join his game (using his invite) and have him start the race anywhere between 7-22 seconds (depending on connection speeds) after you accept the invite.

Im almost certain it is boss. With inner board perks before starting the gold runs you can have a non stop 6X multiplier and all gold comes to you if you are close by.

I finished the dark albion credits with over 140,000 gold which is double the requirement

Mistpeak level. You'll come across some Snollow Men (Hollow Men with snowman heads) a little into the game. If you don't attack, some of them (ones in the distance) will take their head off and throw it at you. I think you need to let it hit the floor, so it starts flashing red (going to explode), then press A to kick it back at them. This will kill them, and unlock the achievement. You can ulock this achievement before Mistpeak. I just recieved this playing Survival after the Graveyard level. Heroes of The Dark Cloud: I've "popped" my head about 4/5 times before I've even gone in the second tele porters, and no achievement has unlocked. So I'm guessing it'll unlock once I've completed it, so you'll need to edit that information in because it's a little misleading.

I'll edit once I've done the level to confirm.

Complete Millfields in Dark Albion without being hit!

This achievement is best done with 4 total human players. Using this method you will need to play the level from beginning to end a total of 2 times.
During the first playthrough, have 2 of the players complete all the fights while the other two (getting the achievement) stick to the back, making sure they do not take damage. They should use Garth or Reaver, as they have long distance attacks, and can stay to the back. They should avoid confrontation and just use dogdge :bbut: when enemies are near. If for some reason, one of them do get hit, just have them join in the attack, to help the last player. After that, just cycle through the players until everyone has unlocked the achievements.
Extra tips will be added..

i just found a super easy way to do this one, wait till you get the inner board unlocked, then keep doing a quick level till you unlock the invisible perk, then just sit back and let the AI kill everything, obviously works quicker when you have the AI leveled up pretty good

You don't even have to let the AI kill everything. Just sit in the back with a ranged character and kill everything yourself.

I'm not sure if you want to add this to the guide since it's somewhat common knowledge.

Select the first Sled Race mini game. You get 5k gold for winning which gives you 2 dice rolls. And it only takes about 15 seconds to finish race (not including final scores screen.)

So you can keep going back to the board and try to land on the tiles you need.

It's also nice if you have some gold saved up too, but each time you win you do get 5k gold so you can essentially buy a good majority of the skills with the just earnings

Millfields has a flock of them towards the end too.

Yeah but Dark Bowerstone has them all the way through pretty much. So playing a level with constant Hobbes and chests, you'll have a better chance than playing a level all the way through right to the end to then have a 1 chance of getting the right Power-up.

We have some good tips and ideas going over in my rage-named gold medals thread. I thought I'd cross-post this post I just made, as it has two very nice little tips in it:

I found a very sweet little tip for this achievement... Not sure if it's obvious and everyone already knows about it, but what I found out was that if you restart or quit level, you keep your Inner Board perks. They only go away when you finish a level and see your characters standing on the prize podium thing.

This means you can do some nice little things:
- Start over on the same level if you were just a few hundred coins short of the gold.
- Leave and play another level if you find that the level you're playing is too easy with the perks you have (so you can use the perks on a level tha tactually needs them).
- "Scout" levels to see how hard they are with various perks from Inner Board, without wasting the time. If you don't gold the level you're "scouting," just quit and do one you think you can do with the perks you have.

Medals in Dark Albion appear to be glitched. They display as silver even though you have gold. erico360 has confirmed that his game also displays silver on every dark level, but he still got the achievement.

Yeah but Dark Bowerstone has them all the way through pretty much. So playing a level with constant Hobbes and chests, you'll have a better chance than playing a level all the way through right to the end to then have a 1 chance of getting the right Power-up.True enough. Now I realize that I'm not sure why I even threw that out there - if someone can't find Hobbes in this game they might want to pick up another hobby. ;)

Those aren't bad tips, but just to point out... Money is absolutely not a problem in this game and does not need to be boosted. I've got 5 gold medals left to go and I have over 3 million spread across my characters and I don't need any of it.

World Champion: Quick layout of levels and what you'll need.

Below is the perks I recommend you have before you go into a level;
x6 Multiplier, Coin Magnet and either Stealth or Multiplier Retainer. If you're missing one of the last two or both it's no big deal, just make sure you don't get hit.

Characters;
Garth - You
Reaver
Ben Finn
Maze

Keep the 3 AI as low level as possible. They'll keep at a distance and let yourself go a little further forward than them the aim is to get your multiplier up and keep it that way throughout the whole level. Make sure you collect the coins but the main bulk of your money will come from the kills you make, and the spare dropped coins will be picked up by the magnet perk.

Below are the levels and the goals you need to reach for the Gold medal;
Level/Light/Dark
Millfields: 30K/60K
Gravestone: 25K/40K
Misspeak: 40K/70K
The Cloud: 65K/90K
Hobbe Cave: 45K/65K

Yes, this true. Though if you have all achievements but this one, there is one empty space. So if luck is against you, you could end up with less depending on the role of the dice.

You may land on a perk you've already landed on or the empty tile, so you could end up with less, but in theory you can get a total of 5 activated for the next level. I'd always use all 5 roles because the more perks you have the better the outcome.

The only one I skip is the one where the enemies are attracted to you more than your teammates. As this will most likely get you hit and make you lose your multiplier which you don't want!

Complete a level as part of a four-player team. This also unlocks a tile on the Inner Board.

Just gather 4 total players, and start a new game. I suggest just completing Millfields, and choosing the right hand path at the end to make it go more quickly. You can also do this with 4 controllers, although it may be cumbersome by yourself that way.I did this locally with 4 controllers doing the "Chicken Kicker" mini game. All I did was dodge the chickens as the NPCs took the hits.

Hey Maka, first off, great guide, thanks for the help. Just waiting on my turbo controller for fast and furious. I noticed a possible bug when going for World Champion so figured that I'd share.

You may know that if you quit out of a level with perks activated, you can start another level or repeat the level and keep your perks.

What I found out was that, for me, I could complete the level in offline mode, roll the dice for my character, then quit to the main menu after rolling for my character (before rolling for the AI), then start the game again (by selecting offline mode again, with the same characters as before) and while it would save my score for the level that I just completed, I'd still have the same perks to use in another one.

It might have been mentioned before, but I figured I'd share just in case. :)
