whaaaa?? this game isnt that hard dude. You need to level up first if your having trouble. And not to mention, you can run away from enemies if you want. Just keep pressing down on the d pad so your pawns will follow and not fight

You're clearly either under leveled for the area or you have inferior equipment. Go do some other quests first and level up. Also, use the pawn recruitment thread and recruit some high level pawns, then you can practically watch them do most the work.

Dark souls isnt hard just very unforgiving, isnt any harder than any other RPG but if you make a mistake you will be punished severly.

If you have friends with the game and they have high level pawns you can recruit them for free (if not the the high levels cost a lot of RC). Friend some people on here in the recruitment section that have high level pawns if you need to and you'll be good to go.

This game is in no way hard. My 10 year old son and 11 year old nephew are loving this game (been on it all day) sharing Pawns and everything.

Clearly you are missing something.

Like people said... play Dark Souls then come back to us.

Dark Souls isn't hard. Don't play demons souls. But then again neither is demons souls. But all 3 of these games work the same way. Build up your characters... then kick the crap outta things. If your dying in dragons dogma... keep fighting little stuff and buy armor... then upgrade your armor. Then you'll be golden. But a big part of it is your pawns. Hopefully you are far enough to where you have a party of 4 including yourself. If not play til you can have 3 pawns. Then you will have 2 pawn that do not level with you, so keep going back and hiring pawns at your level or go to a town and higher pawns that cost RC points that are much higher levels. I know the second fort in the game has higher level pawns for higher for not much RC points.

RC costs are pretty much based on your level compared to the pawns (at least up to level 28ish where I am). You can always higher someone 1-2 levels above you for free, but beyond that it increases exponentially.

That being said, I had a lot of trouble in that same area, and actually missed a quest or two because those bandits were tearing my party up.

Two solutions: Come back after you gain several levels and upgrade your equipment, or hire much stronger pawns. I didn't spend a single RC up until I hit level 25, so I finally said screw it and hired 2 level 46 pawns to escort me and my main pawn around during the Wyrm Hunt quests.

I don't understand why people keep saying there's difference between hard and very unforgiving: it's the same!
The less is forgiving the harder is the game. No error means total frustration
And said that, i finished DS.

You have to leave it and then come back to it.

My party delved to the deep bottom of a forgotten dungeon.

And then legged it the France out of there as some unkillable horror started to make mince meat of us.

Try other Quests. Talk to people in your home town and the capital city.

You'll do alright once you get the hang of how the pawn system works.

Haha when I was doing everfall yesterday (post main story) I used ferrystones to get the hell out of a couple of fights. Just make sure your pawns are alive first -_-

well after just 1000 pointing the witcher which ment a dark playthrough and thats with NO NG+ u have to start on dark from scratch which makes it proper hard, this game is a piece of piss compared to that it really is, i dont mean to knock u but whats your benchmark of a tough rpg?

The Witcher is a fu**ing pain in the ass, i was glad when i finished it once on normal.

And i got to ng++++ in Dark Souls, with two different characters. Not mentioning my several playthrough in Demons Souls.

People who have beat Dark Souls just say it isn't hard so they can sound cool. The game is hard and the glaring difference in it is that there is no multiple save feature which exists in about every other RPG so you can do whatever you want without consequence, that's what makes it harder. I'm not saying Dark Souls isn't good or that it is unfair, but it is hard. I have only played the Dragon's Dogma demo but I can tell you other than the one save slot thing, having giant-sized bosses, and being labeled a RPG, it has nothing in common with Dark Souls.

Wow, this thread quickly turned into a dick-waving competition for women. xD

If I remember right, you're talking about those guys slightly west of the road to the Witchwood, which itself only has wolves. Wolves upon wolves. Those guys are soldiers, and they screwed me over too. Your level is much too low to take them on right now, so just keep to the wall of the path to the Witchwood and don't draw any attention to yourself. The wolves should go down easily enough, but the humans will continue ruining you for many, many levels.

The hardest thing is the fighting system!
Demonīs and Dark Souls are harder I think, and no games where pure leveling is bringing you to the end!
If they had the Fighting System from the SOULS Games, Dragon`s Dogma would be easy as f**k

I know the part you mean and early on this way is hard. I died several times here however I found that if I followed the main quest until I got to Gran Soren and then came back it was much easier. Just kil goblins, wolves and harpies in the mountain pass for a little and recruit good pawns. After getting used to the game I found it no trouble at all. A few fights were tough if I went unprepared but generally it wasn't too tough.

This like Dark Souls is a matter of proper levelling. I went down the well when the quest was first available and promptly to my ass handed to me. I left it and went to level up. Jst went outside the town at night so there were more bad guys, progressed the story, earned some gold, upgraded my weapons and armour and came back one I had 3 pawns. I had no trouble after that. I'd class the difficulty of this game as medium.

I play this game with just me main pawn (Fighter>Warrior) backing me up (Strider) we run around killing shit and eating all the food we can get our hands on due to lack of magic. The game hasn't been hard yet.

Try renting a couple of pawns with healing spells, I imagine the game plays itself at that stage.

Does anyone know a way to rid yourself of your main pawn and just play alone?

The game does allow grinding and farming though, which helps matters. I suppose you could also spring for some very high-level pawns, though that isn't a good long-term solution. Might help in a particularly tough spot.

If you haven't been to Gran Soren yet, do the quest that takes you there first, do some more stuff and get some better equipment, maybe spend some time farming and grinding in the area around the road leading from the encampment to there. That is what I'm currently doing, preparing for other quests.

Lol enemies are easy in Dragon's Dogma. Just leave some harder/highest level enemies in some areas until your character and main pawn have growing levels more. This game is like KOA Reckoning, Skyrim and other type of action rpg that offer enemies are low, medium and high level enemies and depend with your leveling up and some enemies will follow your levels and some enemies you need leave until you same levels as them or above then them. :)

Loved this game so much. :)
